The SpaceOur home is a 10 year old open plan courtyard style, privately located behind the front cottage. It is a very light and bright house with garden to relax in. We all would like a nice experience to remember whilst on holiday- I would like to think staying here will provide that. Feel comfortable and at home whilst you are here with full access to the laundry with outside line or Cook up a curry in the kitchen ( as long as you do the dishes after! ) Your lovely Queen size bedroom has direct access to a private courtyard where you can take breakfast , relax and plan your day. The walk in robe area has it's own tea & toast making facilities with bar fridge for extra convenience should you prefer this option. I am respectful to the guests wishes, should quiet behaviour ' when on holiday' be the wish , or chatty & helpful- either is fine with me. Mile End has such a great mixture of older heritage homes and new, restaurants and parks that it is real fun to live here with great pubs within walking distance as well. ( that's always useful ! ) There is a really interesting mix of cultures all about this area. Public transport is just 2 minutes from our door. There is lock up garaging or driveway on the property. The Airport is just 15 minutes away ( approx $20 by taxi ) and the Interstate Train station at Keswick the same close proximity. Your lovely Queen size bedroom has direct access to a private courtyard where you can take breakfast , relax and plan your day. This bus also runs to and from the Airport . (There is lock up garaging or driveway parking on the property , should you hire a car) The Airport is just 15 minutes away ( approx $20 by taxi ) and the Interstate Train station at Keswick the same close proximity. It is definately a convenient location to get around from. Whilst having to share the bathroom ,may appear a nuisance, I can assure you I will always give my guests the first dibbs and there IS an absolutely lovely bathtub for relaxing in to make up for this slight inconvenience ! The SpaceApplebee Cottage is located in the inner city suburb of Mile End. The other feature of Applebee Cottage is that it is partitioned by a wall from West Side Bungalow (also on Airbnb), but no internal access to each other. If both properties are available, then 2 families could holiday happily , with access to each others properties via a common gate in the dividing back fence. Guest AccessGuests have access to the whole property . Interaction with GuestsI am always available by phone, and can be at the property within 10 minutes if needed. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is a mix of many ethnic groups and with that bring the best of foods and culture. There is so much to offer close by, including the Beach, Adelaide Zoo, Central Markets and China town. The Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale wine areas are within an hour travel from the house, and I am more than happy to help with any travel ideas with in our beautiful state. Getting AroundLocated at the end of Bagot Ave on Henley Beach Road , is the direct bus service in tot he city

We also have two single mattresses and an air-bed that if you have a 7th/8th/9th guest or prefer separate beds (fee applies). We also let the bedrooms out individually (see separate listings for each bedroom). That might be cheaper if you are only after 1-2 of the bedrooms and are happy to share with other guests. Guest AccessLocated within the suburb of Mile End are numerous restaurants. Thai, Chinese, Italian and Indian. The Royal Hotel is at the end of the street.l We are also spoilt for choice with takeaway restaurants and also a Foodland supermarket at Henley Beach road and the opposite end of Bagot Ave , there is another small shopping percent with a Woolworths supermarket along with post offices and other variety stores. Interaction with GuestsI am available to the guests if they have any enquires re anything at the property, but it is their holiday, so I only make contact if they request it. I am happy though, at any stage to help organise tours etc when required. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is a mix of many ethnic groups and with that bring the best of foods and culture. There is so much to offer close by, including the Beach, Adelaide Zoo, Central Markets and China town. Getting AroundAt the end of the street is Henley Beach Rd, which is one of the major arterial roads into the city. The bus stop is at the end of the street . The city is only 4.3 kms from the house .

The SpaceJust Minutes to all Amenities in a vibrant semi industrial area. The house itself has a great backyard with chickens & a rabbit and Vegetable Garden. The Bedroom is large with 2 double beds (including loft bed), sleeps 4, is light and airy. Has ironing facilities, mirrors, wardrobe space. WIFI. Guest AccessWe have 1 combined Bathroom/toilet and a single toilet which we will share, chefs kitchen which you would be more than welcome to use, as with cooking condiments, tea & coffee etc. and living areas, backyard and driveway.. All local amenities..ironing board & iron. Wardrobe space..WIFI (for general use, not large downloads/gaming/or hours of Netflix), shared TV, kids toys if you have kids with you. Interaction with GuestsId like to start by saying that our house is a home and not an actual BnB or a hostel or hotel. We are considerate of each other, we ask each other about morning shower times the night before and I'll wash your glass or few dishes on the sink as you might like to do for us. As I have mentioned, (for short stay guests) I don't mind if you use my cooking condiments like oil etc. sometimes I cook enough to share and you may also do the same but don't feel obliged. I don't colour code or label shelves in the fridge or is my house full on signs.. we ask that we be thoughtful and considerate and most of all enjoy each other's company even in the briefest of stays.. The NeighborhoodSemi industrial streetscape, Free tram to CBD which is 1 stop away (1km to CBD), close to other public transport, restaurants, pubs, pubs, bars, CBD, parks, petrol station, new and old Royal Adelaide hospital, entertainment and convention Centres, Bonython Park, West End Brewery, Hindmarsh Stadium, Coca Cola Factory, Wheatsheaf International Hotel, Adelaide Central Market, Chinatown, 15 mins to Henley Beach/grange or get tram all the way to Glenelg. Getting AroundHeaps of public transport and including free tram to city and ent cent, walking is also a reasonable option. Other Things to NoteThere's a well behaved toddler in the house, pets include rabbits and chickens. We're non smokers. We welcome families with young children, can maybe help out with prams, toys etc. we love to cook..

The SpaceIt is a peaceful and private home that just might suit your needs, be they corporate stay or leisure. The open plan living area with polished flooring adjoins the kitchen with all that you would need for entertaining. This very light and bright area completely opens out with large sliding doors to the leafy courtyard area. The fully tiled bathroom is heaven with large walk in shower and seperate bath tub. There is a Laundry with Modern Front loading machine and please when it is a beautiful sunny day, be aware of the Electricity Bill and use the Outside Line . The Dryer , only when an urgent need. I am wishing to make the whole house available for rental on application with all the necessary references. Guest AccessBoth The Main Bedroom and open plan living area have direct access to the fully enclosed leafy paved courtyard garden . This area has outdoor setting , BBQ and Market Umbrella. A great spot to sit and plan your day ! Interaction with GuestsPlease speak with me about this as long term rentals will require gardening to be kept up by either myself or person employed to do so. Thankyou. The NeighborhoodIt is a real multi- cultural world going on around here. With an array of shops and restaurants from over a dozen nationalities just a short walk away. I love it and it's still so close to the city, our West Side ! A 25 minute walk through the parklands has you to the centre of town or the bus Transport is just 5 doors away on South Road , our stop 4a has buses running every 20 minutes to the city , a 10 minute trip. To travel the other way to Harbortown , where the Direct retail shops are and then if you wish to travel further on this same line to Glenelg with the Marina and Beach attractions, all first class Tourist destination ! This is also the very same line that runs directly to and from the Airport - a 15 minute trip away for your ease of arrival or departure. Henley Beach Road , at the end of our street, has the buses that run down to most fantastic Henley and Grange beaches. Getting AroundEvery thing is @ your doorstep and the Airport and interstate rail just 10 mins away. Please see overview for more details of ease of getting around. Other Things to NoteA lock up garage with remote is available for 1 car and there is also parking then possible up the private driveway behind this . On street for any larger vehicles may be preferred.

As well as from our fellow Aussie states. We have also travelled extensively and have used Airbnb as travellers before. Just like our stays abroad, we want your stay to be fun and easy. We can give you local tips on going out, dining, and are up to date with what’s going on in town. We don’t mind sharing what we know, but we can also be as hands off as you want. We will be sharing the living room, kitchen and bathroom. However we are social and busy people and tend to spend quite a lot of time out, so you will often have the house to yourself, but we may also have friends around from time to time. We also have a friendly cat living here called Sausage. Sausage mostly enjoys the outdoors and is also a musician in an indie/garage rock band. We keep the door to the guest room closed, so you can’t hear her practice. More importantly the guest room remains cat free! The NeighborhoodWEST SIDE IS THE BEST SIDE! Torrensville is a vibrant and culturally diverse area with some great local eateries and bars. The house is also conveniently located just two blocks from Henley Beach Road where there are numerous restaurants and shops including supermarkets, fresh fruit and veg, bakeries, chemists, newsagent and post office etc. You can check our on-line guidebook for local attractions. Getting AroundEASY TO THE CITY, AIRPORT & BEACH Perfect for travellers, the house is situated on the sunny beach side of town just minutes from the CBD and close to the airport (it cost us $15 in a taxi last we used one there). The airport bus line is also close if you prefer that option. And PUBLIC TRANSPORT We are very close to public transport, only a block to the nearest bus to the city and beach. On the bus you will be in the city in about 10 minutes travelling east, or at the beach in 15-20 minutes travelling west. FREE BIKES Two spare bikes for you to use if you fancy the outdoors. We are a few minutes ride from Linear Park, a flat and scenic tree-lined cycling track that runs along Adelaide’s river Torren's from the city out to the beach. Cycling from our house is quick and easy and will take about 15-20 minutes in to town. Not strenuous, and great way to explore our city! You will also be sharing with Mister (an inside/outside dog), and Amélie (an inside-only cat) but they are not allowed in your room! (And Mister is only allowed in the back section of the house - so that he doesn't try to eat Amélie, who lives in the front!). Mister is a friendly and sooky schnauzer who wouldn't hurt a fly (except for cats or birds), and Amélie is very shy with strangers, so you are unlikely to see her apart from a darting shadow and some green eyes staring out from under something. But if you are a cat-lover, she may eventually warm to you. We also have chickens, finches and goldfish in the backyard. The NeighborhoodWe love Mile End! It's so close to everything and is full of beautiful character homes, Mediterranean-style gardens and friendly people from a range of different cultural backgrounds. Getting AroundIt is only about a 5 minute drive from the airport (about a $15 taxi fare). There is also an airport bus but that bus stop is about a 10-15 minute walk away from our place. The bus stop that goes to the city or Henley beach is only a couple of minutes walk away. It only takes about 15 minutes on the bus, and about 25 minutes to ride a bike. There are 2 supermarkets within walking distance (one is about a minute away, the other about 5-10 minutes walk), as well as plenty of restaurants and cafés etc. Other Things to NoteComplimentary tea, coffee and sugar. I have a lovely space out back now as well as original listing...The room is half workshop(tidy) and half spare room. I will not be working in there when I have guests, but it is set up, if you need to fix anything or feel like creating something beautiful! I have dyes and fabric paint and all sorts of embellishments, who knows you may even want to make a faery! haha! I am highly creative and have a sewing machine and sometimes make funky clothes and Faery dolls which are hanging all over the place. I also make music so I have 2 guitars, a keyboard, fiddle, whistles and love to jam. Singers are most welcome! Sometimes I have a bonfire in the garden and invite people to play music. My house is a 3 minute walk to one of Adelaides best live music venue The Wheatsheaf pub and also the Deli which is a very funky restaurant/ bar. Getting Around5 minute cylcle, 20 minute walk or free tram to town, frequent buses, easy access to everything Other Things to NoteI have a small and friendly Jack Russell Terrier dog called Sparkle. She is the dog of love, unless you are a rat or small creature! A feature of the place is the outdoor dining area on a recently restored deck, overlooking the park and the quickly growing flower and vegetable garden! A beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast or a barbecue dinner on a balmy summer night. Your private room contains a comfortable double bed (fresh, clean linen of course) and overlooks a beautiful tree. The room is a good size and there is enough room for your bags etc. The room has its own new split system air-conditioning/heating. The SpaceThe entire two bedroom townhouse is yours! Ideally suited for two couples or a family. I will offer a discount for stays greater than 4 nights... Please send me a message before booking so I can do this. Downstairs there is a comfy lounge, central kitchen and dining area which overlooks the beautiful deck and garden, complete with table, chairs and umbrella. The rear yard has an open fence and overlooks a private park, which opens on to Kings Reserve. There is also the laundry and second toilet downstairs. Upstairs are the bedrooms and main bathroom. The main bedroom is very large, overlooks the park, contains a queen size bed and has enough space for all your bags and more. There is enough space for a child's mattress ( I can arrange on request). The second bedroom contains a double bed and overlooks a beautiful tree. There is no TV (sorry!) but good internet, with the wifi signal strong throughout the home. Both rooms have their own split system air conditioning. There is also a split system air conditioner downstairs. The large upstairs bathroom is clean and fresh with white tiles. You'll be able to park one car in the driveway with more parking available on the street. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the entire townhouse as described above. The NeighborhoodTorrensville is a wonderful part of Adelaide, being a stones throw from the city, not far to the beach and airport. Across the park is the new Brickworks Marketplace shops, which includes the wonderful Tony and Marks green grocer/ continental deli. Behind that is the River Torrens linear park, along which you can ride a bike to the city one way or the beach in the other direction. I can arrange bikes upon request. The bus stop to go to the city is a five minute walk and the trip to the city takes ten minutes. I have metro cards available for guests. Within a ten minute walk from home is Henley Beach Road, renown for its many international restaurants.
