The SpaceFully renovated quaint and comfortable cabin in quiet woodland setting next to rushing stream in a relaxed neighborhood of other small cabins. 1.5 hours from Manhattan and 1 mile from NYC bus, but a world apart. 2 bedroom, modern kitchen and bath, bonus hot/cold outdoor shower, screened summer house, hammock, stream-side stone patio with stone barbecue (like Lucy and Ricky had in Connecticut), lovely garden, ample outdoor living space, gas grill. Walk to historic village (less than 1 mile) for restaurants, shopping, galleries, and antiques; 5 minutes from Delaware Water Gap National Park and Delaware River for swimming, canoeing, hiking, biking, rafting, berry-picking. North end of the Poconos away from the junk and close to the Catskills and the stunning Upper Delaware River. Best of both worlds - close to activities and services but you'll feel far from the crowd. A romantic, forested retreat. A nature lover's paradise that stays cool when the city is sweltering. You can walk to the waterfall just up the road, stargaze from chaise lounges, have cocktails in the stream, or read under the music of rain on the metal roof of the summer house. NOT A PARTY HOUSE. NO PETS. MAXIMUM 5 GUESTS INCLUDING CHILDREN AND INFANTS AND NO SURPRISE ADD-ONS AFTER BOOKING. Note: steps to second floor are narrow and steep, like attic pull-down steps but substantial and anchored. If you and your guests are under 25, or if you are a first-time or un-reviewed renter, I will require copies of a photo id for you and contact info for each guest. Quiet is very important to my neighbors. The NeighborhoodPeace, quiet, and the natural beauty. 1 mile from restaurants, shopping, and services.
