Description
The Space

There is a combined kitchen, pantry and laundry, family and dining areas, a Blue bedroom (with full size bed) and full bathroom (with jetted cast iron tub) on the first floor. There are two bedrooms (the Emerson Blair room has a queen size bed and the Maren Leigh room has a full size bed) and two full bathrooms on the second floor. One bath on the second floor bath has a shower and the other second floor bath has a tub. The first floor has original oak flooring except the kitchen that has been updated. The second floor has original wide plank pine floors. The Creamery has central air and screens on the windows in the spring, summer and fall, and forced air and thermal glass panes in the winter months. There is a lighted patio with patio furniture by the living area and a lighted deck with patio furniture by the dining room. The home is fully furnished with large and small appliances including HDTV, wifi, coffee makers, coffee bean grinder, ironing board and iron, toaster, blender and more. The Creamery is ideal for Ohio Light Opera patrons, and College of Wooster/OARDC/ATI visiting researchers and scholars, alumni, families and friends. Holidays at The Creamery are extra special as the home is family oriented in design and decor. The Creamery is also well equipped for business travelers and the large dining area doubles as a conference room with seating for 8 to 10+.

Guest Access

The basement is reserved by the host for storage.

Interaction with Guests

Rosanne or I will see you either upon or shortly after your arrival, to greet you and answer any questions about the home and area. And we are accessible by phone, email or text at other times. If you need to arrive early or late just let us know as we can usually accommodate your needs.

The Neighborhood

The Creamery is our family home, and is located in one of Wooster's beautiful older neighborhoods with wonderful homes and neighbors. You may be regaled by a cicada and bull frog serenade and perhaps lightning bug fireworks, . . . or snowflakes! Wayne county is home to the JM Smucker Company and Hartzler Dairy (where the cream rises to the top!). We will welcome you with their products and others (such as Hershberger hand-picked strawberries and Bauman Orchard apples) as seasonal and local items are available. Holidays at The Creamery are extra special as the home is family oriented in design and decor. The Creamery is well equipped for business travelers and the large dining area doubles as a conference room with seating for 8 to 10+.

Getting Around

We are located within close walking distance of the College of Wooster and downtown shops and restaurants. Wooster is accessible by walking, car or bicycle during the spring, summer and fall months. We are one hour from the Cleveland metropolitan area to the north and one hour from scenic Amish country to the south. City News is located on south Market Street in Wooster where you can buy local papers and The New York Times.

Other Things to Note

Futons are available for additional sleeping, and children's sheets are available for the beds. The Creamery is ideal for Ohio Light Opera patrons, and College of Wooster/OARDC/ATI visiting researchers and scholars, alumni, families and friends.
