The SpaceThis is a full featured suburban home. If you are looking to visit family/friends in Milton and want a house of your own for a week or the weekend, look no further! The back yard has a patio with table and umbrella, a playset for the kids, and hot tub that guests are welcome to responsibly use. If you are travelling with little ones, I also have available a a Pack'n'Play, a toddler bed, a clip-on "high" chair, a carseat and boosters, and other similar baby/kid amenities.
There is one king bed in the master bedroom, a full (double) in one bedroom and a twin in the third bedroom (with an additional floor mattress under the bed). There are two sofas large enough to sleep on but they are not pull-out sofa beds. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire house. There are lots of kids' toys that families are welcome to respectfully use. Interaction with GuestsMinimal interaction other than to welcome guests and give a tour, when practical with my travel schedule. Otherwise details will be shared by email and in a "house document." The NeighborhoodThe "Columbines" is a beautiful, quiet, family neighborhood with mature trees throughout. There are three parks/playgrounds walking distance including Turner's Pond right down the street. Milton Academy is also within walking distance. There are several grocery store options nearby and a number of restaurants in the area. Getting AroundThe location is most ideal for travellers with a car; however, "the T," Boston's mass transit system comes to this area. The "high speed trolley" extension of the Red Line from Ashmont has three stops within 1/2-1 mile of the house. Around the corner is a bus line that goes to Ashmont Station on the Red Line . Several neighbors use these routes for their daily commutes to downtown Boston; however, the one way trips takes 45-60 minutes as the Ashmont branch of the Redline has several stops before downtown. A car is probably necessary to get around town (for groceries, etc). There is an Enterprise Rent-a-Car in nearby Quincy that will pick you up (I have used them several times and been pleased). Other Things to NoteI expect all interested guests to send me an email introducing themselves, their travel plans, and the other members of the travelling group. I live in this house and it is in a close knit family neighborhood. I therefore vet all guests carefully.
