The SpaceWe are offering our lovely guestroom to guests who are looking for a cozy, comfortable and private place to stay close to central Nelson. Though only a couple of minutes away from the city center and the airport, our house looks out on the beautiful Grampians (hills) which gives it a rural and peaceful feel. The guestroom has its own entrance and consists of a double bedroom plus its own bathroom. We are situated in the colorful Victory area not far from central Nelson. The house is just meters away from the popular Railway reserve and various walking and biking trails, so if you want some action, just ask us for advice on where to go! From December to March we also have a swimming pool available for you to use. You can walk to town in 15mins, it takes 5mins by bike and Nelson's NBUS to / from town stops here every 30mins. In case you're by car there is plenty of parking for you as we are in a quiet 'cul-de-sac'. The airport is a mere 10mins away by car. The guestroom consists of a double bedroom with its own bathroom with toilet, washbasin and excellent shower. It is well insulated so nice and warm with an heater available for you in winter. The bed is very comfortable and sleeps two. A third person could sleep on a mattress on the floor or on the couch - bedding will be provided. The guestroom has a hot water kettle, tea, coffee, sugar etc. for you to use but it doesn't have cooking facilities. There is a small fridge in the room so you can keep any food you brought with you nice and cool. A simple breakfast is available($10 for 1 person, $15 for 2 persons). Please let us know the day before if you would like to have breakfast the next morning. At times we may have our bikes available for you to use for a small fee. Please contact us if you would like to stay in our guestroom or if you have any questions or special requests ;-) Guest AccessGuest have access to their room through private entrance. The room features a private bathroom attached to the room. We invite guests to enjoy our large garden, relax in the deck chairs, have breakfast on the seating in the corner of the deck or have a jump on the trampoline :-) In the summer we also provide access to a nearby swimming pool. We rent out our bikes for $15 per day to those wanting to explore Nelson by bike. Interaction with GuestsWe mind our own business and give guests the space and privacy they need but always happy to have a chat and offer advise. The NeighborhoodQuiet and friendly neighborhood. Dead end street so very little traffic. Getting AroundBus to town runs every 20mins. We also rent out our bikes.

Getting AroundThere is a bus stop five minutes from our house which runs to all the nearby suburbs and into the city centre as well as Tasman Bay connections and West Coast connections. Nelson is cycle and walking friendly and very easy to drive around. We have plenty of on site parking Coming from the airport is simple by either taxi or car. Other Things to NoteOur bed rooms are upstairs both with bathroom facilities. We have one friendly Burmese cat and a Spoodle Dog

The SpaceOur traditional spacious family house is in Nelson's dress circle on the Port Hills. We have the best view in town, out over Tasman Bay taking in the port entrance "The Cut", Abel Tasman National Park in the distance and snow covered Mt Arthur. Spend hours just gazing and daydreaming! 2 bedrooms available, both with sea views, with own separate bathroom. Large (palatial!) guest sitting room with adjoining breakfast room. Self serve breakfast of fruit, yoghurt and muesli is included in the rate. Tea and coffee is available any time. Home cooked dinner with a glass of Nelson wine is available on request with some advance notice. (NZ$40) (Please note: if you book for 2 and would like 2 bedrooms instead of sharing a double, there is a supplement of NZ$40 payable on arrival ie a single supplement on the 2nd room) Nelson city centre with galleries, cafes, bars, restaurants, movies etc. is a 20 minute walk. Nelson's famous Boatshed Restaurant is just a 5 minute walk away along the waterfront. Also on the waterfront are fish and chips and 2 other waterfront restaurants/cafes plus sailing excursions and ferry - plenty to choose from. There is high tide swimming at the bottom of our road and we are only a 15 minute walk from Tahunanui's enormous sandy swimming beach where you can kite surf or windsurf with the cool dudes. Bus to town at the bottom of the road if you don't feel like walking. Guest AccessGuests will have their own sitting room and dining room with access to the spacious deck for relaxed evening drinks. The NeighborhoodWe are in a premium residential area of town close to the waterfront. Neighbours are all friendly and there are pleasant walks or running circuits from the house. Getting AroundThere is a bus to town or beach which stops at the bottom of the road. Otherwise town is a 20 minute walk - very pleasant along the waterfront, or a bit quicker over the hill. The airport is 10 minutes away, a NZ$22 taxi ride. Other Things to NoteIf you are on a tour of the South Island you may also be interested in our stylish Methven holiday house which is also available on airbnb under the listing South Island ski golf and fish. Methven is a popular small rural town on the Canterbury Plains just 100km from Christchurch and at the base of Mt Hutt, a winter ski area. It's very handy for walks in the mountains, near to 2 excellent golf courses and a scenic relaxing spot to spend a few days.

The SpaceWelcome To The Perfect Place Bed and Breakfast..... House is within walking distant of nelson city centre and has lovely views of the Grampians. The bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and also a lovely outside claw-foot bath on the deck. The bed is comfortable with lovely cotton bedlinen. There is also another single bedroom available if needed and there would be a reduced charge for this room. The price includes a full breakfast with lots of tea and coffee all day. The kitchen is also available for snacks etc. and there are two lounge areas . I have wireless internet available and there is also off road parking. You can walk into Nelson but there are also buses that pass the end of the road. I would be willing to pick visitors up from coach station or airport if they have no car. Nelson airport is a 10 min ride from my house. It is in a very quiet area of nelson with no passing traffic. The SpaceThis warm light, bright and comfortable cottage is one large sunny north facing studio apartment, surrounded by pretty hillside cottage garden, includes an en suite with a lovely shower. The queen bed is comfortable and luxurious, with an electric blanket and freshly ironed sheets.The kitchenette has small appliances as well as a microwave, and a barbecue and spa/hot tub are situated just outside the French doors. The relaxing atmosphere make Hillside cottage just the place for a quiet and peaceful holiday. Close to the city but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The view over Nelson is lovely and relaxing and sitting around in the evening with a glass of wine you can see the lights over the city. Interaction with GuestsI try to be home to greet the guests when they arrive and am happy to help them with anything they might need, including pick up from the airport or bus station The NeighborhoodI moved up here to Nelson two summers ago, and the minute I saw this pretty cottage I just knew this was where I wanted to be. It is so central and the view is awesome. I sit out on my verandah in the early morning sun and couldn't wish for anything better. Getting AroundA bus goes right past the gate and into the central city. It takes 15 minutes to walk into the city, or less then a 5 minute drive. Other Things to NoteSmoking is fine outside. The area is characterised by a mixture of beautiful historic & modern homes, established trees & gardens, excellent all day sunshine, friendly people, wonderful peace & safety & of course magnificent views over the sea & mountains! Getting AroundIt's best to have car or hire bicycles wherever you choose to stay in Nelson, but the beach, waterfront restaurants & cafes & the Nelson city centre are all within 20~30min walk of The Cliffs. Public buses run from the main waterfront road - just under 10min walk away or a taxi ride to the beach, waterfront or city centre would typically be around NZ$8!

The residents are genteel folk & the neighbourhood is very safe. Getting AroundTo get the best from the region your own transportation is recommended. At the bottom of Richardson St (200 meters or yards) you can catch regular buses which service the township & outer suburbs. Transportation to & from the Abel Tasman National Park will also stop there. Other Things to NoteThe Abel Tasman National Park is easily done as a day-trip. It's a 70min drive to Kaiteriteri, the water-taxi base.

There is a garden and a nice deck to fully enjoy sunny Nelson. Guest AccessCome and go as you please. The bedroom is big and you will sleep in a queensize bed. It is fully furnished with a desk and a set of drawers. There is an electric heater in the room but at this time of the year, you might not need it. You will have access to all the shared space : kitchen, bathroom, living room, spare living room, deck and garden. The sunny lounge can be particularly comfortable and nice place to share with others. If you want to be by your own, you can enjoy the spare living room. We are all in our 30’s, working different hours as none of us has office hours (logistics & hospitality) so that there is always someone home to keep company to Tess (the dog) and Leo (the cat). Tariff is for two guests, but it's easy to accommodate 4 in 2 separate rooms, (but shared bathroom). A private deck off the main bedroom provides a wonderful respite for a weary traveller.
