      Paradise By The Lighthouse is located on the eastside of Chincoteague just off the bank of Assateague Channel. Enjoy watching the wild ponies from your balcony and experience the wonderful breezes and breathe taking views of Assateague Island and the historic Lighthouse. You are within a stone’s throw of the town boat ramp right across the street and within a couple of blocks of Memorial Park which has a play ground, tennis courts and public pier for fishing & crabbing. It is within walking distance of shops, boat rentals, restaurants, seafood & vegetable stand and much more. There is off street parking at the house for three vehicles. The 2 bedroom/2 bath home is centrally air conditioned and heated and is fully furnished with everything necessary for comfortable leisure living. The upstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and down stairs has two twins that can convert to a king. The house has a deck/balcony. The living room has a full size sleeper sofa, lounge chairs, TV, DVD, and VCR. Other items include a grill, dishes, tableware, pots/pans, crab steamer, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, pillows, and blankets. Bring your own bedding (1 Queen, 1 Full, & 2 Twins) and towels/wash cloths. We ask you to please leave the house in a clean, tidy condition for the next guests to arrive. Paradise By the Lighthouse will allow Season and Off Season Mini Weeks and Weeks, Please see pricing below: Week: Saturday - Saturday Mini Week: Monday - Friday Weekend: Friday - Monday Season Mini Week: $555 Off Season Mini Week: $375 Season W/E: $490 Off Season W/E: $335 Pony Penning Rate is $875.00 (July 23 - 30th, 2016) Additional fees: 11.3% tax, cleaning fee of $65.00, garbage collection of $25.00, and a refundable security deposit of $200.00 (refunded back to you within 7 days as long as no damage is done to home). Please bring your own linens and towels. The MAX OCCUPANCY of six persons (1 Queen, 1 Full, & 2 Twins) for the house must not be exceeded. If more room is needed, check on the other half of the house, Assateague Overlook #2 and double the occupancy to 12. No pets are allowed in the house or at the Wildlife Refuge and beach. 50% deposit is required with reservation. Balance due 30 days prior to arrival.       The SpaceShore Escape is centrally located between Chincoteague and Onancock in an ideal spot to explore the shore during the day and relax in privacy at night. The NeighborhoodHopeland is a secluded neighborhood overlooking Kegotank Bay, Assawoman barrier island and the Atlantic ocean with a private boat dock and gazebo to launch kayaks, crab and/or relax. Getting AroundThere is a greyhound station 5 minutes from here in Oak Hall. Other Things to NoteIt is very helpful to have a car. There are a variety of ES attractions within minutes but you have to be able to drive. If you want to go out on the water you can bring your boat. There is deep water access at the end of the street. I do not have kayaks yet but you are welcome to bring them if you want them.

The bars and restaurants of Onancock only 20 minutes south and Chincoteague Island and Assateague National Park are 40 minutes away. Wallops Island, the NASA launch facility, is 30 minutes away.       A hunting log cabin built in an extremely peaceful setting overlooking a quiet creek just west of the Atlantic Ocean. There is NO TV, NO Landline Phone,NO Internet, although your cell phone will keep you in touch if you must. This is the first time this handsome cabin has been offered for rent. The Modest Town cabin was originally built for the private enjoyment of the land owner, who unfortunately passed away in 2013. It is hidden in Virginia's Accomack county and surrounded by countryside. Sitting just south of Wallops Island, it is convenient to the back creeks and bays of Virginia's Barrier Islands. Fishing, crabbing, beach combing, kayaking, birding, exploring the Eastern Shore of Virginia or just relaxing.
