OPEN LOFT is at top of a log stairway & is separated by a see-through log railing from great room & dining room in the level below. It's cozy with low sloped ceilings, walls on 3 sides & log rail on 4th side. Minimal privacy. Unique experience. In the interest of full disclosure, we want to be sure that you understand upfront that although the loft is not a private room, it is not a shared space; you will have it to yourselves. The photo accurately shows the loft. It is our most-booked place.

The SpaceFamilies w/kids will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We have a large shed which contains all outdoor furniture and other accessories. There is a Hot Soft-tub but use of that will be an extra charge and you must setup and takedown and put back in storage. 4-wheelers are not to be used. Master bedroom is a Queen plus, other two bedrooms are also queen size beds. Guest AccessThis house is our 2nd home and our future retirement home. We have had friends and family stay and they all absolutely love it so we decided to open it up to others to share the beauty of the Northern San Luis Valley and all it has to offer! We are down there 3-4 times per year and always dread leaving it. Interaction with GuestsThere may be times we will open it up to guests (other 2 bedrooms) while we are there, again it will be a case-by-case basis and if we have friends/family staying with us. The NeighborhoodWe are located in the San Luis Valley, a peaceful paradise in CO! 40 acres with locked gate. Elevation is about 7,600 ft which means it cools down at night during the summer and is cold during the winter! Secluded with only a few neighbors... so you will enjoy peace and quiet. No light noise, the dark nights with the stars are incredible! You may see Elk, Mule Deer and Antelope right from the deck. You will need a vehicle as we are 1 1/2 hours from Colorado Springs and 2 1/2 hours from Denver. Other Things to NoteThere is SO much to experience within an hour of our place. River rafting, Gold stream trout fishing, many hot springs, train excursions (summer concerts ask us about this!!), hiking trails, bat cave (witness this!!), National sand dunes, Royal Gorge, Horse back riding, Skiing, snowboarding, rent jeeps and snowmobiles... we even have the famous Alligator farm which has the alligator from the movie "Happy Gilmore." There are only a few restaurants close by (Villa Grove and Saguache), best options are Salida (our favorite town!!) which has many restaurants, craft brews and lot's of shopping... and much more!
