The SpaceWe want to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible. This space is pet/kid friendly. There is a lot of light in the house, but the private room has blackout curtains in case you want it darker during the day. The room also has vaulted ceilings, and is very spacious. Closet space and an open dresser are available in the room. Guest AccessYou will have a spacious private bedroom with one twin bed and one futon. There is shared access to a full bathroom, living area, kitchen, and dining room. Free washer/dryer access available upon request. We value coffee in our house, so we have a Keurig in the kitchen, and free k-cups available. Interaction with GuestsI work second shift, so I don't have much time to spend with guests. I am occasionally home in the mornings before work, and my husband is home off and on during evening hours. We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so please contact me via cell phone at any time you need assistance. The NeighborhoodOur neighborhood is a residential suburb, but it is very close to many amenities, including restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, churches, and recreational areas. There are sidewalks in our neighborhood, and a park/playground across the street. Do not be alarmed when you see a "fire department" on our street. It is NO LONGER a fire department - only a restaurant/banquet hall. Getting AroundWe have one parking space available behind the house, and free street parking all around the house. There are typically many spots available. There is also a bus stop less than a mile away on the main road (Penn Avenue, Route 422). Other Things to NoteWe have three friendly shih tzu dogs and one quiet cat in the house.* The dogs are very friendly and like to be played with and petted. The cat is shy, but is sweet when he warms up to you.
*We recently inherited a cat from my sister. She is a tuxedo cat named Gretchen. She is sweet, but very shy and a little skittish. She will not bite or scratch, but will probably run away if you try to play with her (or if she sees the dogs).
