NB: Daily breakfast but only first morning if staying for 3 days or less. Space inside and out can be a little messy as it's our house and not a hotel! We have some lovely original artwork. There's a bath so you're welcome to run a bubble bath to relaaaxx after a day walking or sightseeing. Guest AccessLet us know when you'll be arriving so we can make sure we're going to be home! Park View offers a queen sized bedroom with local park view, hanging space & drawers. May have own or share bathroom (depending on other guest arrangements). Bathroom is practical and interesting. Share kitchen, guests have own small refrigerator for breakfast goodies. Enjoyable messy courtyard where you can sit and watch wildlife - frogs, birds, lizards. Free use of washing machine and dryer if needed. We encourage getting out and about, unless you need rest and recuperation! Make sure you bring your camera, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and moisturiser!
7 min walk to lovely pub meals at Dolly's (not the Hibiscus Tavern - altho these are under the one roof!) Interaction with GuestsAuthentic Hospitality! A little or a lot depending on needs of guests and our own timetable. Heather sometimes works from home so is often on the computer! Hosts can assist Guests with activities and excursion program and what to see within time available. The longer the better! The NeighborhoodA lovely friendly suburban neighbourhood, no neighbours opposite your room as it looks over the road and into the park, which is a great place for an early morning or evening walk. Short walk to mini-supermarket and only 7 mins walk to Woolworths supermarket, butcher, newsagent, and other take-away shops, as well as Dolly O'Reilly's Irish pub and restaurant which is a great meal, and sometimes live music, jam sessions or quizzes! Getting AroundPublic bus stops close by. Or if you are fit enough, walk to Casuarina shopping centre, cinema and bus interchange to city. Can walk or ride bicycles to Crocodyllus Park which is a highly recommended attraction, and stop at free waterpark on way home to cool down. Hire car gets you around faster and you can go further! Great AAT-Kings Day Tour to Kakadu (3 hours away), Katherine (3 hours south on the highway) or Litchfield Park (1.5hrs away). Must see Art Gallery & Museum NT and the new Military Museum, Enjoy Barramundi and chips at Stokes Hill Wharf at sunset, and of course choices of markets on weekends. All must see!
