The NeighborhoodThere are lots of lovely boutique shops and plenty of coffee shops,bars/restaurants in Mona vale, bush walking and beautiful Pittwater for boating are all 10 minutes away. We are very central to Mona Vale, easy 5 minute walk. The closest beach is Mona Vale with a surf beach and the basin, a quieter beach suited for children,it is a 15 minute easy flat walk or 3 minutes in the car. Warriewood beach is also five minutes away by car,both great surf beaches. There is a Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets all within walking distance. Getting AroundMona vale is a 45-60 minute bus ride from Sydney CBD, buses leave approx every 10-15 minutes. The bus stop is conveniently located at the end of our road. Buses go to Manly, Sydney CBD and Palm beach. Manly has a ferry service to the city which is a beautiful way to see Sydney harbour. Other Things to NoteUse of pool with strict supervision of young children. We welcome young children and ask that they are supervised to avoid any breakages, no smoking please, no groups of adults under 21.

Bus stop to the city is just cross the road. (40 minutes journey to the city) Bust stop to Palm Beach (Summer Bay) is a 100 metres walk. (10 minutes journey to Palm Beach) Other Things to NoteWe love our house, is such a fantastic lifestyle!!     The SpaceThe cabin has 2 bedrooms. It is a very quiet & peaceful space. It is fully self-contained & is completely separate to the main house (where we live!). It also has its own huge covered deck with comfy King couch, dining table, BBQ & outdoor bath! We are more than happy to interact with guests as much as they would like to interact with us. We are a 5 min walk to the hub of Mona Vale. It has lots of great restaurants, cafes & shops, & the beach is only a further 15 min walk! Buses to the city are also only a 5 min walk away, and on street parking is available. Whether you want to explore the northern beaches or just kick your feet up & relax, we are well positioned and set up for both!     The SpaceThis property is like a treehouse on the top of a headland. One of the original homes built in the area, oozing character. The Last house on the street with breathtaking views. Always easy parking out front. Wander down to the beach and cafés or BBQ on the verandah. There is a loft bedroom with ensuite and views on either side, sleeping 2 in a queen bed. The second bedroom is split level with a queen bed in the bottom half and two singles in the top. For extra bedding you can use one of the couches to make another double bed. A unique home for those who like to experience 'outside the box'. L90 goes directly south to the city or north to Palm beach is only 15 mins. Other Things to NoteThis is not really a house for small children. Minimum stay 7 nights all year round and for the months of December and January the price is increased to $7000 per week.

    The SpaceSeabreeze & Central @ Mona Vale is a 2 bedroom apartment - great for a young family - and just two minutes walk form Mona Vale village shops. It is our home, fully equipped with all you’d expect. It's light & breezy with 2 balconies spanning both sides – a great place to enjoy an evening meal & perfect for breakie. Enjoy the view of Mona Vale Beach & headland from the kitchen & the east balcony. While, the back balcony is good spot to see the New Years Eve & Australia Day fireworks from The Newport. The living space is open plan on the east side, soaking up the morning sun. The kitchen is fully equipped, including an induction cooktop, dishwasher, and coffee machine (just the aldi brand). The open plan lounge & dining room is enjoyable but simple, and leads onto the outdoor area. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, opening up to the west side balcony. The second bedroom has a cot & baby change table. There is room for the double size thick inflatable mattress. (Or ample room in the lounge room instead). Note, we are on the top floor, without a lift, so it's up 3 flights of stairs to see the view. Guest AccessFeel free to park at the back of the unit block, there's only six spots, or you can park on the street. Interaction with GuestsOur home is your home while you're here. The NeighborhoodYour neighbourhood Mona Vale is in the upper Northern Beaches of Sydney. It's a great place if you love the outdoors, especially for families. It has a village feel, full of local interesting shops frequented by locals and travellers. Take a walk and you’re sure to pass some locals who say ‘good morning’ to you. Mona Vale Beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk or a 3 minute drive (just over 1km away). There are 3 great cafés to choose from or pack a picnic to enjoy Apex Park at the beach. There is lots of natural bush, waterways and wildlife in Mona Vale. Look out for the local kookaburras and lorikeets. Shopping Need to pick up something? Mona Vale has 5 supermarkets including the luscious Thomas Dux, which has lots of delicious delights for a special trip away (…plus Woolies, Coles, Harris Farm & Aldi). For coffee lovers, try 2Kf Espresso on Bungan St (they open at 5am weekdays!), the Inch Café at the village green, or Bronze Kiosk on Mona Vale beach. There are plenty of restaurants in Mona Vale to choose from; including Indian, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, Vietnamese, Thai & more. If you’re here on a Monday though, there aren’t all open. Enjoy the outdoors We’re 1km to the local Flying Fox park – it’s a favourite for families, with a park, bike & walking track, room to swing a cricket bat or kick a soccer ball & a café . It’s walking distance or a quick drive around the corner (on (website hidden) maps it’s known as Winnererremy Bay Foreshore Reserve). Experience Pittwater from the newly renovated The Newport (it's part of the Merivale Group, which has lots of venues in Sydney). It has an outdoor area with big screen for movies & sport, live music, a beer garden, and a brand new play area for the kids. It’s a short drive or jump on the L90 bus from Barrenjoey Rd.     The SpaceWe have spent the last few years renovating our home - combining Rhys' meticulous building skills with my love of design, colour and all things beachy. Spacious and open plan, renovations include a new family sized bathroom, kitchen with breakfast bar and bi-fold windows which open onto the deck and BBQ area, and a new laundry which doubles as a second bathroom. Everything has been designed with thought, love, recycled timber & a splash of colour! Guest AccessThe space is suitable for up to 3 couples or 1-2 families depending on your sleeping arrangements. Rooms include: x2 double bedrooms with Queen Beds and overhead fans Yoga/Playroom room - this can either be either used as an extra lounge, yoga / meditation room, kids playroom or as a bedroom - it contains a double futon. Nursery with cot, baby monitor and change table ready for your little one. You could also fit an additional travel cot/kids mattress in here if required, or we can add a double mattress for extra adults. A large, covered deck is perfect for al fresco dinners - the gas BBQ is available for your use. The bathroom includes an aqua, claw-foot caste iron bath, double sinks and vanity, timber mirrors and the beachy pebble titles feel amazing underfoot when you're in the shower. Our unique dining table and colourful chairs sits 8 - we upcycled it from a timber door! The lounge has a large sofa with chase, overhead fan and includes DVD player, Apple TV and Playstation, as well as access to a large collection of DVDs. We have recently renovated the laundry and this provides an additional bathroom, useful for hosing down kids, wetsuits & sandy feet when you return home from the beach. There is a large grass lawn out the front for kids to play and burn off some energy, as well as sunbeds to laze in the sun. The house is situation back from the road, on the top of a hill. You can go up the driveway at park at the top, there is space for 1 - 2 cars - depending on your car size/driving skills! Interaction with GuestsDepending on the dates of your stay, we may or may not be nearby. We will confirm at the time of booking. If we are in the area, we will be 10 minutes drive away and available to assist. If not, we will be contactable via mobile and will also provide you with a local contact. The NeighborhoodWe believe we live in the best place in the world - the Northern Beaches! There are countless beautiful beaches just a stone's throw away, including Mona Vale Beach which is about a 10min walk. The majority of the beaches are patrolled during summer and there are also numerous ocean pools nearby including those at Mona Vale, Bilgola and North Narrabeen. At the other end of our street is a reserve, boat ramp and beautiful cycle tracks/walks around Pittwater - complete with picturesque boats anchored in the harbour. The "Flying Fox" park ia huge hit with kids and cafes, local shops (including Woolworthes, Coles, Thomas Dux, Aldi & Harris Farm), are just a 5-10 min level walk from the house or a 3 minute drive. There are some awesome cafes nearby including Rough n Bare, Armchair Collective and Bronze. For a no-fuss but awesome $5 bacon and egg roll, check out the Darley St Diner...we have been known to ring & pre-order on a Sunday morning! Restaurants span every type of cuisine you could think of, from Italian to Paleo to Thai to Japanese...the list goes on. If you are into Crossfit then Crossfit Athletic Mona Vale is less than 5mins walk away. Tell them Lou sent you! Fitness First is 5-10mins walk. For yoga with an outdoor twist, head to Narrabeen Surf Club on a Saturday morning 7.30am - 8.30am for my class by the beach. Check out the Surfside Yoga website for more details. Privates and small group classes also available including vinyasa, yin, sports recovery, mums n bubs and kids yoga. Narrabeen Lake is a 10 minute drive from us and there you can hire Stand Up Paddleboards and Kayaks. It is also a popular place to cycle or walk around. World-famous Palm Beach (aka Home & Away) and the highly recommended walk up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse is 20 mins drive, or there is direct public transport (L90 bus) at the end of our street. Manly is also not far away, timings vary according to the time of day/week but generally allow approximately 30 minutes to drive. Ocean World and the water park are great for kids, there's fantastic snorkelling at Shelley Beach and the Spit to Manly walk is stunning (approx 3 hours). You can also get a direct bus from Mona Vale to Manly - again, the bus stop is at the end of our street. If you are keen to venture further afield into the city, then buses leave regularly from the end of the street. Check the 131500 website for a timetable. Getting AroundMona Vale beach and ocean pool are a 10-12 min level walk away. Flying Fox playpark, shops, cafes, supermarkets, pub and restaurants are all within an easy 5-10 min walk. The beach cottage is just 150m from bus stops to the city (Sydney), Palm Beach and Manly. Other Things to NoteOur beautiful and very affectionate cat Maya lives on the property when we are there, but she will not be present when guests are staying. Please note that the house may not be suitable for those with severe cat allergies.

Our house is spacious with backyard, spa , built in barbecue, large projector screen to watch movies in a cosy environment and a fire place and an open plan renovated kitchen. We live in a quiet road but only 5 min walk to a bus stop.

Candlelight dinners or brunches after swimming at the beach and a dip in your own private large pool. The outside shower refreshing and a way to wash off the beach sand before plunging into the pool. The large backyard with lawn to the back fence a heavenly spot for children soccer, a tent or pitching a cricket ball. All in your own backyard. Interaction with GuestsYou will meet the lovely Megan who will hand you over your keys and give you the run down on the lie of the land and the beach house. The NeighborhoodWe love this beautiful spot on the planet. The walk along the coastal path to Palm Beach a late breakfast at the The Boat House Restaurant and then a bus back is heaven. Outdoor activities are endless, with great restaurants and cafes nearby. Also great food stores and an organic market a fifteen minute drive every Sunday morning. We will leave details of all these. National Parks inland boating water ways, walks to Palm Beach lighthouse, the Australian Bahai Temple a five minute drive....a short bus ride to Manly Beach and its ferry terminal to Sydney. Picnic basket in hand and you are off. All of January is Sydney Festival time with visiting world class performances. Getting AroundPublic transport in Sydney is excellent and we are blessed to have a very regular Sydney bus system at the end of our street, about a five minute walk. This bus will drop you in Wynyard where a five minute walk will bring you to unbelievable views of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Circular Quay with ferries leaving every few minutes to all points around the Harbour. Sydney is rich with cultural experiences. Theaters, convict historical museums, Exotic botanical gardens, shopping from original local design labels to Indigenous Art. Of course for the intrepid surfing at Bondi Beach and climbing to the top of Harbour Bridge are both unforgettable experiences. Watch closely as you wander in Sydney's bustling streets for one of our Ozzie icons Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman or Hugh Jackman. They may well be home for a movie or holiday. Other Things to NoteThere is space to park three cars out front of the house one on the drive way two at a push and then directly opposite our drive is a parking area and two cars parked nose in will fit easily on there. Listen for the wake up call of the kookaburras in our tall Norfolk pine trees and if you see a rustle in the undergrowth it may be our resident blue tongue lizard. Watch as he slowly wanders through the garden he has been with us for a very long time. You may hear the odd thump on the roof as a possum scampers across we sort of like the nature so close to our back door and rush down to the beach when we hear the whale watch sighting. We call this place our own private nature reserve and feel very blessed especially when we sit out back and listen to the whooping rainbow lorikeets ...a heavenly spot

    The SpaceThe apartment is on the beach facing side of a small 12 apartment block. It is on the first floor, up a short flight of stairs. The space has clean lines with a white/wood theme. The bedrooms are carpeted with plantation shutters and built in wardrobes. The living space incorporates the kitchen, living and dining areas which look out onto the balcony. A table for six and weber barbeque are on the balcony which is perfect for eating and relaxing while watching the ocean and beach life. Directly under the apartment is a lock up garage with space for one car. It also houses the washing machine and dryer, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas and boogey boards for guests' use. Basin Beach is directly in front of the apartment. Residents and guests have private and direct access to the beach via a security gate. A short stroll along the beach is the Mona Vale Ocean Pool and Mona Vale Beach which is a patrolled swimming and surfing beach. Basin Beach is quieter as it has no direct street access. It is relatively protected and is popular with swimmers,body boarders, sun bakers and walkers. Cafes and restaurants are within a short stroll. Mona Vale golf course is nearby. There are plentiful walking and cycling paths. The shopping precinct of Mona Vale proper is a 15 minute walk or 5 minute car trip away. It has supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants and services such as a library and post office. A short drive away are numerous beach suburbs, national park and water recreational areas. A 50 minute bus trip takes you to the centre of Sydney. Guest AccessGuests can access all of the common areas including a grassed area at the front of the block overlooking the beach which includes tables, chairs and deck chairs for communal use. Interaction with GuestsI use the apartment as a family holiday home and weekender so it is unlikely you will meet me. I live in Sydney and am contactable via telephone, text and email. A friend and neighbour who lives in the block is available for any immediate assistance and inquiries. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is relaxed beach side. You will find people going out for walks (many with dogs), running, swimming, exercising and surfing. Basin and Mona Vale beach are family friendly and there is a children's play area in the street. Mona Vale beach, which is reached by walking along the beach, left of the apartment, is a patrolled beach. There is an adult and children's ocean swimming pool between Basin and Mona Vale beach, visible from the apartment. Bronze cafe fronts the beach (breakfast and lunch) and Cinque Restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) a pizza place and Armchair Collective (breakfast and lunch) are on Daley Street, at the end of the street. All are within a short walking distance. Getting AroundThere is plenty of street parking available in addition to the lock up garage under the apartment. A regular bus service from Pittwater Road (which is a 10 minute walk from the apartment) goes to the city. The bus has many stops including at a large shopping centre, Warringah Mall. The bus trip to the city takes about 50 minutes. Other bus services connect with Chatswood railway station, about a 30 minute bus trip. Other Things to NoteI am happy to negotiate a discount for bookings in excess of a week. All linen and towels (except beach towels) is provided and beds are made. Toiletries including, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, sun block and toilet paper are provided. The kitchen is fitted out with all the usual glassware, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, cleaning essentials (dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets etc.) and some basic condiments such as salt, pepper, oil, balsamic vinegar, flavourings and tea bags. There is a water filter. Beach toys, umbrellas, chairs and boogey boards are in the garage for use by guests.

    The SpaceJust 3 minutes level stroll to the beach and cafes; set on a large enclosed level block with pool, trampoline garden & rope swing for the kids. The main living area is expansive with lounge, modern kitchen and dining (for 8) and opens to 2 outside entertaining areas with BBQ and alfresco dining for 10. On this level is the main bathroom with bath and 2 bedrooms: one queen (master) with en suite and a bedroom with 2 single beds. Upstairs is a teenagers' retreat with lounges which can convert to 2 additional single beds or a king sized bed. On this upper level is a double bedroom and a room with a king single trundle bed and a powder room. A port a cot is available on request. There is off street parking for 3 cars and plenty of parking available on the street. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire house. The locked garage will not be available but there is plenty of off street parking in the driveway and on Orana Road. Interaction with GuestsWe will greet you on arrival to issue keys and will be available throughout your stay should you require any assistance. The NeighborhoodOn the beach side of Mona Vale, Orana Beach House is tucked away at the very private end of Mona Vale Basin known as 'Bongan Bongan". This is the ideal location for families wanting a summer holiday with its close proximity to the patrolled beach for surfing and swimming, ocean pool, coastal walks, fishing and strolls to local cafes and restaurants. Just 5 minutes from the sparkling waters of Pittwater, Yacht Clubs, and Mariners. And for boaties, a boat ramp is located at Bayview, 5 minutes from Orana Beach House. Getting AroundBus at the end of the street, will take you north to Palm Beach and south to Manly and Sydney CBD. Mona Vale is a vibrant centre with many of restaurants, take-away, hotel, clubs. Easy transport to the City and Manly and renown for its beaches. Many movies and advertisements are filmed here. Scenic local walks, Pittwater inlets for fishing and boating and many beaches to choose from with mona Vale beach having its own rock pool. A great place for a holiday that is easily accessible to the city if you want to 'get away' from the crush.

        This sun-filled character home with an in-ground solar heated pool, spa, cabana and an outdoor kitchen is the perfect house for a large family or 2 small families to take a holiday. It is also only approx 200 metres walk to the golden sands of Mona Vale Beach. Perfect indoor/outdoor entertaining areas & open plan casual living makes it ideal for entertaining. This home is great for children as there is a huge level backyard with cubby house, sandpit, swing set , swimming pool, spa and huge inground trampoline. It has two living areas, large modern kitchen & separate dining room, four good size bedrooms can accommodate up to sevem people or take up the option of the upstairs parent retreat which will then accommodate a total of 9 adults. Outside the Alfresco dining area leads directly on to the level sunny back yard. The rear yard catches the first rays of sunshine in the morning and is bright and warm all day, it's a lovely place just to relax, have a dip in the pool or kick a ball with the kids. The gardens are fully fenced, landscaped and very secure. Mona Vale beach is only 200m walk and Apex Park is a further 200m which consists of a children playground with gas barbecues. There are also 3 fantastic cafes/restaurants found here. This house is situated one minute walk from a major bus route running to Manly/Palm Beach (aka Summer Bay from Home & Away!) or the Sydney CBD. The famous Newport Arms Hotel is within a 5 minute drive where you can sit overlooking yachts on beautiful Pittwater while watching sports on their giant entertainment screen with a cold beer, great pub food and the kids can run around in the sandpit and climbing frame.
