The SpaceThe two traditional, island style cottages are both 1600 sq ft. with large, 12 ft wrap around verandas, which offer guests a versatile entertainment space, or the chance to simply unwind and experience the cooling effects of Antigua's renowned trade winds. Each cottage can comfortably sleep four with air-conditioning as well as ceiling fans in all rooms. Each kitchen is fully equipped with coffee makers, a Nespresso machine, a microwave, gas stove and oven and all the utensils for casual dining. Mosquito screens over each window and at the doors protect you from being bitten. The living rooms and master bedrooms each have 32in. LCD flat screen TV's with cable television, and the living room features an iPod docking station and a Blu Ray dvd player. There is also wireless Internet in both cottages. The property is monitored by an intruder alarm security system. Each cottage also contains a personal safe. As your hosts, we get a genuine enjoyment out of meeting our guests, therefore we do most of the initial Meet & Greets on arrival day. We are also only a phone call or email away, should guests wish to connect with us. The décor in pastel shades gives a sense of coolness and simplicity in contrast to the strong tropical light outside. Tamarind House is kind to the environment with naturally collected rain as its source of water and high powered ceiling fans, encouraging you to experience the real Antigua. Getting AroundHiring a 4x4 is the best method of transport during a stay in Antigua if you are looking for full freedom for exploration of the Island. However, for those who wish to get a little extra from their vacation and/or enjoy being in touch with their environment, Tamarind House is within walking/cycling distance of all local amenities, beaches and public transport. Other Things to NoteWe have two dogs and two cats, there is a fence between the houses and all animals are very friendly.

The SpaceA super getaway spot that is very quiet and private, Boulder Cottage is particularly suitable for couples. It is nice and breezy, the bed room is fully screened, but also comes with a net and standing fan. There is a walk in closet with full length mirror and shower. All linens, kitchen utensils for cooking and dining are supplied. Guest AccessThere is wireless internet and as we just installed a new cable it actually works well!!! You have your own private access and parking area. There is no TV!!!…but there are lots of books…this is a getaway after all! Interaction with GuestsMy husband and I are available pretty much all the time, we live at the bottom end of the property and are only a phone call away. We try to respect our guests privacy, but are happy to answer any questions particularly about History, my husband is the local archaeologist, nature trails or the Island in general. The NeighborhoodThe best thing about our location is the view, the quiet, the breeze, the plants, the birds…..but also the very close proximity to first class restaurants, Pigeon beach, bank, supermarket, historic nature trails, the Nelsons Dockyard, which was listed in July 2016 as a World Heritage Site, and so much more…. Getting AroundWe recommend that you rent a vehicle, preferably a 4 wheel drive, as our road is of the "off road" persuasion! If you particularly like to walk, the nearest public transport, the bus, is about a 10 min walk, fine for going out, down hill but a bit of a slog up hill on the way home but is certainly an option for the fit.

Guests can relax with a mojito and while tasty enjoy the beautiful views sitting comfortably in the large veranda at your disposal .A just a 2-minute drive you will find numerous restaurants, the choice is wide and the quality and range from fine dining to more casual .Many of them are located in the fabulous and unforgettable locations to satisfy even the most demanding eye, some of them turn into disco-bar with outdoor spaces to dance to the rhythm of international songs and Caribbean. The Atlantic surf is restrained by a coral reef which allows snorkeling close to the beach and beyond the reef windsurfers play in the rougher water. Almost always quiet, you can find a peaceful spot away from the crowds with a cooling breeze. There are more sheltered beaches in Antigua; however, for the combination of tranquillity and the natural setting, it would be hard to beat Half Moon Bay. A visit to Half Moon bay is not complete without stopping for a drink or snack at Smiling Harry's Beach Bar where you will be able to take advantage of Harry's dish of the day in one of the Island's most laid back venues. The conditions at Nonsuch Bay are outstanding for small boat sailing. Nevertheless, there are many attractions close by; famous Half Moon Beach 10 minute drive for body surfing, English Harbour with its historical buildings and docks, 25 minute drive, Falmouth, 20 minutes; rain forrest and zip linings 30 minutes, St. John the main town is 25 minute drive away. Compass Point is situated on Browns Bay, Nonsuch Bay. The property is set in 1.8 acres; it is secluded yet with very close access to excellent restaurants. To the left, is the Nonsuch Bay resort; very good food and open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. You can also rent a sailboat there as well as have kite surf and/or sailing lessons. To the right is Harmony Hall, one of the best restaurants on the Island. They have a very nice art centre which is worth a visit. Harmony Hall also run a ferry to Green Island. This is un-inhabitated paradise and a "must do" while in Antigua. Half Moon Bay is the most famous beach in Antigua, and this is a 10 minute drive away From the airport , the villa is a 25 minute drive; same distance from St. John's the capital and it also takes 25 minutes to reach Falmouth/English Harbour. A car is essential; there is a small grocery shop in Freetown, 5 minute drive away. It is also possible to have groceries brought in on weekdays. If you love sailing, fishing, nature, peace and quiet then Nonsuch Bay is the place for you. The apartments are beautifully and tastefully decorated with specially commissioned Italian artwork and the covered veranda looking over Falmouth Bay Harbour features curtains, a hammock and a dining table. The price is for two peoples ,each additional person will pay 25 US DOLLAR for night. The Yellow Apartment comprises two double bedrooms; PIGEON BEACH is 17 square metres in size and WINDWARD is 13 square metres. PIGEON BEACH has a walk-in closet, ceiling fan, air conditioning, four-poster bed with curtains and a private bathroom with bidet and drench shower. This room may also be accessed through the French doors overlooking Falmouth Bay Harbour. WINDWARD has a walk-in closet, ceiling fan, air conditioning, bed with canopy and private bathroom with power shower.
