The SpaceThis is a spectacular property for weddings. The deck has beautiful view of the lake. There is plenty of space for a tent for receptions. It is also a fun and safe place for the little ones to pitch a tent and "camp out" overnight. The private lake is well stocked with large bass and brim. We have drive-thru covered RV parking with 30 amp service & hook ups for and additional fee. Guest AccessGuests have total total access to the house. Since we live in this house when we are in town, we request that the guests respect the privacy of the closets and personal property. Interaction with GuestsI am always a phone call away if there any questions. The property is in a rural part of Jefferson County and cell service is limited, depending on who your carrier is. Usually, you can find a signal somewhere in the house or on the property. In the unlikely event you need First Responders, remember that not all cell phones provide your exact location. Tell 911 your exact address. There are no land lines in the house. The NeighborhoodThe property is very secluded, private and quiet, at the end of Silver Lake Rd. (dirt road). We have only one neighbor and they are a wonderful family. We maintain a security gate at the entrance to our right of way for additional privacy. During the season, you are welcome to pick grapes, blueberries, oranges, pears, pecans and plums from fruit trees on the property. The lake is well stocked with a variety of fish. Most people catch and release, so there are some pretty big bass in there. Yes, this is Florida and we do have an occasional alligator in the lake. DO NOT FEED THEM! Most of them are less than 4', but every now and then a big one comes to visit the females. We don't want them to become "people friendly". Getting AroundTallahassee / FSU are 30-40 mins to the west on I-10 or US 90 from the house. Thomasville, Ga is about the same going north on US 19. The best grocery shopping is at Publix in either Thomasville or Tallahassee. There is a Winn-Dixie in town. Gas is expensive in Jefferson County. I recommend you fill up while you are shopping. Other Things to NoteMost hotels and B&B's in the Tallahassee area are booked during the FSU sport season and during the Fl legislative session and vacancies are rare. If you are using a GPS to locate the property DO NOT TURN ON LUTHER FOUNTAIN RD. Garmin has not figured out that Luther Fountain Rd ends in a cow pasture. You want to turn on Silver Lake Rd. Approx. 1.5 miles west of Luther Fountain Rd. The entrance to my property is at the end of the ROW. Many people mistakenly turn too early and end up at my neighbors house.
