Morden is in Greater London, not Central London. It is in the London Borough of Merton which is in the South West. London is a very large city between 607 and 611 square miles, with the river Thames running through it (we are south of the river). By underground train you can be in Central London in 30 minutes but if you want to visit North London then it will take you an hour or so to travel there.
So until we invent worm hole travel, a transporter or a Tardis ;-) please bear this in mind when you are booking our room, you will spend time traveling around our beautiful city.
Our Public Transport is very good and as an Australian I know how bad some public transport can be.
We are ideal for Wimbledon Tennis with the 163 bus to Wimbledon a 2 minute walk away. 15 minute drive to the tennis, off street parking and good company.

We have Morden Park right behind us which is lovely in (URL HIDDEN) has a Swimming Baths, childrens's playground, walking track (running around the outside) and is a large open space of grass dotted with small groups of trees. I enjoy watching all the wildlife that comes into the garden and listening to the birds singing in the morning.
Morden is a very safe place with a very low crime rate. We have local shops at Grandrive which includes a Co Op supermarket, a cafe, post office, hair dressers and dog groomers. Morden town center is the other end of our road with Morden Underground (Norther Line) and Bus station. Morden has many shops including Sainsbury, Lidl, Iceland supermarkets, Boots and Superdrug chemists, a dry-cleaners and many places to eat.
One of the nicest place in Morden is Morden Hall Park. It has a lovely rose garden and for wasting an afternoon with a picnic it is just the perfect spot. It also has a wonderful children's play area, two cafes with a National Trust shop and garden center with car park. You can take a historical walk around the gardens and it hosts lots of different activities and special events like the May Fair, Beer festival, open air cinema and many others. Getting AroundMorden is the end of the Northern Line Underground Network. It is also a large bus station with many different bus routes. Morden is in zone 4 of the London Underground. We advise getting travel cards (Oyster) on which you put credit to travel on train, tube, tram and bus throughout London. If you don't have an Oyster we have guest cards you might like to borrow. You put credit on it at any station. It allows you to make as many journeys as you wish each day on tube, bus, tram and train and you will not be charged any more than the £7.70 (off-peak) or £10.60 (peak times) per day. When I came to London to travel I was shocked at how regular the underground was and how easy it was to use my Oyster card.
A 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride to Morden tube Station (Underground Station) - you can be in Central London in 30 minutes. The 163 and the 293 buses run down Hillcross Avenue, and stop every 10 to 12 mins
We also have South Morden train station about 20 minute walk away which goes to Luton and Stansted Airports. Morden Road tram stop is also about 20 to 25 minute walk away or you can catch a bus. The 163 will take you in to Morden or Wimbledon and from there you can get a bus to just about anywhere or a train from Wimbledon to Kings Cross then on to the rest of the UK. Other Things to NoteWimbledon Tennis:
We are very conveniently located if you wanted to come and watch the Wimbledon Tennis Championship. Only 13 minute drive from the courts, you can drive there, take the bus or get a cab.
Surrey and International Cricket:
Morden Underground Station will have you at The Oval Underground station in 22 minutes (only 10 stops) from which it is a 3 minute walk to The KIA Oval CCC.
