    Large Family Home Close to beach and all amenities BEACH HOUSE – Awesome home 1 block to the best beach in Melbourne, 2 minutes walk to train station, shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs, with great walks and cycling tracks, very safe area. Modern very clean and tidy home, large bedroom with en suite, includes continental breakfast,(self help) use of tea and coffee making facilities., use of own lounge and TV area. Melbourne Centre is 35 min by train and car, very easy to find. Happy for guests to use kitchen to cook simple meals, must but buy own groceries and clean up. The house has a wonderful outdoor area and BBQ. Or a short walk to a BBQ at the beach! Wireless internet. Small dog, Oscar, spends most of the time outside. Come stay in luxury, a home away from home and comfort while enjoying Melbourne Access to BBQ, laundry - one wash per person per stay, use of kitchen, lounge, TV, free wi fi. As your host, I am well traveled, hospitable, friendly, love meeting people, interests include traveling, sailing, cycling, reading, cooking and good conversation. I believe traveling has broadened my horizons, made me a more tolerant and understanding person. I love meeting and interacting with my guests, happy to share a glass of wine while advising and discussing things to see and do in Melbourne and Victoria. The amount of interaction will depend upon the requirements of each individual guest, present off and on during you stay and there to assist, but leave you to your own space and privacy. My neighbourhood is only one of three suburbs in Melbourne that offers within a few minutes walking distance, the train station, the beach, great cafes, two hotels, a wine bar, two supermarkets, a good variety of shops, bakery, excellent walking paths, cycling tracks, and all in all a very quiet and safe area. If driving, safe free parking is available outside the house on the street. The train station is only two minutes to my house.

    The SpaceWe offer a self-contained modern apartment within the boundaries of our house. The apartment consists of a studio room with a double bed, table and two chairs, tv, a kitchenette (electric hob, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle), a bathroom with shower, toilet and basin and an outdoor deck with a table and chairs for your use. It has its own private entrance, so you may come and go as you please. Mordialloc is a pleasant beachside suburb about 45 mins from the centre of Melbourne. We live in a very quiet street, and our garden is visited by beautiful parrots and other wildlife. We are a few minutes walk from shops, buses and a swimming pool, and about a 12 minute walk from the railway station and centre of Mordialloc. The beach is about a 20 minute walk. The apartment is completely self-contained and private, and also attached to the house, so you can be as private or as sociable as you wish. We also offer at no extra fee - - apartment cleaned and linen and towels changed. - internet access for your own laptop. - airport pickup at any time of day or night for those booking 4 weeks or more. - heating and air conditioning Plenty of free street parking available. Guests may use kitchen, but purchase own provisions, clean up and put dishes in the dishwasher. The house has a wonderful outdoor area and BBQ which you are welcome to use. Or a short walk to a BBQ at the beach available for anyone to use and a covered Pavillion! I have one mountain bike available for guests to enjoy the bike paths or surrounding area. We are only 100m away from the train station that will take you straight to the CBD in approx 40mins. There are also night buses should you expect your night out to stretch for a bit longer!

    Guest AccessYou will have full use of the kitchen with all facilities you need to be able to cook a full meal at home. There's a microwave, fridge, oven, cooktop, coffee pot and all utensils, cutlery etc. There is a shared bathroom with shower, bath, toilet as well as hair dryer, iron & ironing board plus a washing machine and clothes line. Feel free to make yourself at home in the shared living space with super comfy sofa, TV and lots of films and documentaries. You also have access to the shared balcony with BBQ and table and chairs. There is off street parking for 1 car if you have a rental car (note it is open air - not a garage). Interaction with GuestsI'm happy to have a chat but also respect your privacy as well if you want "alone time"! You will be sharing the apartment with Eloise and any friends she may have over from time to time for BBQ's or dinner parties. The NeighborhoodThe Magic Mordy apartment is 500 metres (7 minutes according to maps) walk to Main Street where you will find: - Aldi Supermarket - Woolworths Supermarket - Pharmacy/Medical Centre - Great cafes including: Seed, Main Street - Great Restaurants including: Tommy Ruff, Big Mouth Burger, - Pubs: including The Bay Hotel, Doyles Bridge Hotel - Boutiques, clothing, gifts and anything else you might need during your stay. The apartment is on Beach road which follows the water with 20 kilometres of bicycle/walking trails that go all the way to Brighton/St Kilda. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop directly out the front of the property and Mordialloc Train station is 750 metres (9 minutes walk). The train to the city takes approx 40 minutes. The drive is about the same time either along scenic Beach road or Nepean Highway. It's a 40 minute drive to the Mornington Peninsula for great wineries, beaches & further along to the Hot Springs. It's a 1 hour drive to the beautiful Yarra Valley for Healesville Sanctuary, Wineries and restaurants. 45 Minutes drive to the Dandenong Ranges. Other Things to NoteQuality, clean linen is supplied on a weekly basis. If you are staying for more than three weeks there will be an extra cleaning fee of $40 to have the room and bathroom serviced by professional cleaners (this is to be paid in cash).     The SpaceFully equipped, great relaxing space, beautiful setting and lots of room!. Within a few minutes walk (literally) of beach, Mordialloc, restaurants, cafes,shops,hotels etc. Excellent train service to CBD which takes same as driving time! Mornington Peninsula wineries not far away, walking, sailing, wetlands and other activities. Short stroll to childrens' playground,the pier and cycle track. Each bedroom has walk in wardrobes. Milk, eggs, bread and a bottle of wine on arrival! Own bathroom with seperate toilet, lounge/dining/basic kitchenette room other side of hall from bedrooms! Off street parking for small car, otherwise on street. TV and wireless internet, laptop desk area, full laundry (iron etc). For those of us who like coffee a Nespresso machine is in the simple kitchenette (this has two electric hotplates,microwave,fridge,toaster,etc and fully euipped with pans,cutlery,crockery etc). Outside areas front and back with tables and chairs and BBQ at back ( this area is themed about the sea). There are also two bicycles (one new,one older) for guest use. Guest AccessGuests have the ground floor of the house, with host living upstairs. Only shared areas are entrance hall and laundry. Interaction with GuestsGuests will be welcomed on arrival and interaction as little (nil) or as much as the guests would like! The occasional dinner in the house can be pre arranged for an extra charge if required. Conversation is one of the richnesses of life!!! The NeighborhoodVery close to beautiful Aspendale beach, the boating and river, park, pier, Mordialloc shops& restaurants all within minutes walk. Hire a boat and go fishing- a short drive to the wineries of the Mornington Peninsula, the wetlands, play golf at several courses, enjoy walking the beach from Mordialloc to Frankston if you have the time and inclination. Morrabbin DFO nearby and the airfield if you want to come in your plane!! A variety of pubs and bistros nearby. The big shopping centre of Southland is a ten minute drive away with cinemas etc. Getting AroundMordialloc station is a five minute walk away with trains to the city taking 45 minutes and a high frequency. The line goes to Frankston in the other direction. There are also some good bus services. A shuttle service does run from Tullamarine all the way to Frankston which needs to be booked and stops in Mordialloc/Aspendale. On arrival and departure we are happy to pick up and drop off at the station etc if pre-arranged. Other Things to NoteBeach Chairs and outside loungers (not for the beach) are provided. Gateway to the Mornington Peninsula with its wineries and ocean beaches. Mordialloc has a palm fringed main street with shops including supermarkets, bakeries, fruit shops and groceries. Also surf gear, clothing and giftware. In addition of course to plenty of good places to eat- casual and more upmarket restaurants, cafes and wine bars. All kitchen cupboards and drawers are soft closing. The house is a very generously proportioned open plan space across two stories. The bedrooms, main bathroom and office are upstairs with the remainder of the living areas downstairs. The house itself is of a very open plan style with high end finishes throughout. All rooms have ducted heating and evaporative cooling plus individual ceiling fans for your comfort. Our house has wireless Sonos throughout, with inbuilt ceiling speakers in the family room and the alfresco and a separate unit in the kitchen. On arrival you will need to download the Sonos app to your phone and this will give you access to a vast array of music through Spotify (instructions are in the house manual). Our Neighbourhood And Getting Around Exploring the local area, the beach is within a 5 minute walk, the main shopping area is under 3 minutes walk with a huge selection of cafes, restaurants, bars, takeaways and convenience stores.
