There is a bathroom with a bath and separate shower as well as a separate loo with small handbasin. We believe we have covered all the basic needs but if you have any specific requirements please let is know on booking and we will try to accommodate you. Each room has a hairdryer, mosquito repellent burner. You will find some attention to detail, such as plugs next to the mirror so you can style your hair easily.Guest Access
The garden is for use of guests and hosts, including harvesting from whatever is available in the vegetable & herb garden (for use during your stay only please). The garages are not available to guests but there is off-street parking. The boma is for guests' exclusive use.Interaction with Guests
We believe our guest would like to be free to come and go as they wish and to make their own plans. We will not always be in residence, in which case we will delegate key hand over to a third party who we have worked with extensively. In emergencies we are 45 minutes drive away for most of the time. If we are staying in the upstairs flat we are very happy to be asked for advice on local attractions and amenities. We won't be in your face. It's your holiday and we want you to enjoy it.The Neighborhood
Kei Mouth is a coastal village with a relatively high residential population, Many of the residents are retired. It is big enough to have a couple of restaurants, a Savemore, a lovely golf course. But it is small enough to feel like you are in a genuine holiday location.Getting Around
A great benefit of staying in Kei Mouth is the easy access by pont to the Transkei Wild Coast. We do recommend that you contact a recognised tour guide or local expert before you wander off into the Wild Coast. Trenneries Hotel is extremely helpful when if comes to organising a tour guide. We also suggest that you avoid driving on the open roads in the dark. Animals are often on the road at night, and cannot be seen until it is too late. This includes the national road - the N2.Other Things to Note
We choose to use boiled tank water for drinking. Not all Kei Mouth residents make the same choice. The quality of the tap water is variable. Any water you find in the fridge in our house is boiled tank water. You are more than welcome to draw water from one of the two tanks on the premises. The sewerage system is a conservancy tank system. If you think that tank may be full please contact us and we will arrange for the "honey suckers" to come and empty it. This is at no extra charge.
