I have a lovely character home in Perth West Australia. It is located close to the city ( 2 train stops) and on the road to the beach ( 15 min bus ride) iIt is walking distance to the local cafes pubs shops and a park opposite. There is a bus stop across the road and the train station is a 5 min walk away. I live alone with no pets or children so my house is your house to share . It has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms , formal dining, kitchen with table and chairs , laundry . And two lounge areas . It has a large garden with outdoor living that is perfect for bar-b-question in summer. The house is about 60 years old with lovely lead light windows and has an Art Deco feel to it You would have your own private lounge, double bedroom and bathroom with access to a shared kitchen if you would like to cook at any time. It has free wifi, reverse air con, and all mod cons. As for me I am a mature lady who loves to socialise, and am very easy going. I like meeting new people and welcome them to my house.

The SpaceA quiet and stylish oasis in a convenient urban village location. Spacious kitchen and open plan library, dining and lounge - yours to use and enjoy. I work from both home and my office so will be able to greet you. As a very pro-Perth returnee, I'm happy to answer any questions about things to do. Within easy walking distance there are numerous restaurant, coffee, alcohol, grocery and shopping options. And that's just in Mt Hawthorn! Neighbouring suburbs North Perth and Leederville also have their own unique personalities to explore and it's very easy to feel like a local. You're close enough to the city centre and two universities to conduct business and far enough out to be able to relax with style. The University of Western Australia and Edith Cowan University are both a 10 minute drive away while Murdoch University is an regular and easy train and bus journey. Buses run direct to several beaches, but they are at most a 20 minute drive. Cycling is big in Perth with a good and improving network of bike lanes - but don't ask me how long it takes to get anywhere! You have a choice of of three buses into the city centre and one direct to the beach. The north/south train line is a 20 minute walk to Leederville station and there is free on-street parking. A free bus operates during the day into the city from Leederville via the resource companies precinct of West Perth and the stunning Kings Park. We will cook you a delicious dinner if desired, served independently or with the family if you would like company. We also offer a good local knowledge of Perth and Western Australia! The Location The house has easy access to public transport to Perth city (only 15 mins on the bus, 1 stop on the train or 5-10 mins by car). Walking distance to the exciting local area with many cafes, pubs, restaurants and the vibrant shopping districts of Mount Hawthorn, Leederville and North Perth. We can often drop or collect you from Leederville train station or it is only a 20 minute walk. It is a 15-20 mins drive to the beautiful beaches. Need collecting from or delivering to the airport? We will come to collect you for a small fee. Come stay in this friendly, welcoming household. Relax by the deep (2.5m) solar heated swimming pool on the large shady deck. The perfect spot for unwinding after a busy day. We love visitors! Children welcome.

The SpaceIt's a two bedroom, air conditioned/reverse-cycle heated villa. One room is a nursery with a cot that families can use, there's also the coolest single bed this side of the Nullarbor - it's a fire engine! The whole place is flooded with natural light. Our renovated kitchen has a pod coffee machine, Bosch dishwasher, NEFF oven and DeLonghi gas stovetop; the bathroom is a good size, with bath, and there's all the usual amenities - TV, DVD player, etc. We don't offer wifi because there are two FREE wifi zones nearby, and it's more fun to get out than stay in! The Leederville strip is fantastic, brimming with hip bars, cafes, edgy fashion boutiques and the Luna arthouse Cinema. We're also near the Mt Hawthorn cafe strip, which offers plenty of window shopping. Both have supermarkets. We're super close to the centre of Perth, with the city bus stop 20 meters away, or a 10min walk to the train, then a 3 minute ride (one stop) to the CBD. Our place is part of a lovely complex filled with trees - chirping birds will wake you in the morning, which is pretty rare for an inner city place. It's also on a street that ends in a cul de sac and park, so there's no busy traffic or noise, and it's really safe. We have vintage bikes, locks and helmets you can use while you're here. A playground is 30s away. Fully supplied with linen and towels. The space is on the ground floor facing a beautiful private courtyard. There's space for one car to be parked. We are an active family, so are out and about ourselves, much of the time, but for the duration of your stay we will always endeavour to provide advice in person, if not by phone, should you need it. In addition, its central location means easy access to Perth's major attractions both north and south of the city centre. It's close enough to Perth city (about 4km) to give it an inner city urban edge but also far enough away for peace and quiet too, especially when sleeping at night. The area is safe and friendly and there are parks nearby. Facilities within a short (5 -10 minute) walking distance include more than 8 restaurants, 7 cafes, 5 pubs/wine bars, parks, post office, supermarkets, bakeries, liquor stores, gift & clothes shops, newsagent & dry cleaner. Start your day with a great coffee from Yelo or Humblebee, pick up some delicious sourdough bread and snacks on your way through from local provedore, New Norcia Bakery and finish with a delicious gourmet pizza at our local BYO pizza joint, Neighborhood Pizza. More sophisticated dining options your preference? Let us book you into Halu (Japanese Western Tapas), a 5 minute walk away, or Divido a lovely European influenced diner. Pop into 'Budburst' wine bar for some intimate post dinner drinks or soak up the atmosphere of the crowd and maybe a live band or televised football match at our local pub, 'The Paddington Alehouse'. Alternatively if you're here on a Friday night, walk up the road (10 mins), and through the telephone box to experience one of Perth's best kept music venue secrets, The Jazz Cellar. Getting AroundThe domestic airport is about 15-20 minutes drive away and the international airport about 25-30 minutes. Our home is centrally located, about 4km north west of Perth city. It is a very convenient location for access to all Perth's main attractions. In addition, fantastic restaurants, bars and theatres are close by in the urban villages (cafe strips) of North Perth, Leederville and Mount Lawley. There is also Northbridge which is a little further at only 3km. Perth beaches are only 9km away. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: We have a couple of bus stops 100 -150 metres from The Guest Room. The 403 bus runs regularly during the day and will take you about 10 minutes to get to the centre of Perth. You can also access the Perth city centre from one of the many bus stops along Scarborough Beach Road. (10 minute bus trip). Buses travelling the other way on Scarborough Beach Road will get you to Scarborough Beach in about 20 minutes. Once in the city centre you can travel around using the free CAT buses and explore many tourist attractions including the Cultural Centre in Northbridge (Art Gallery of WA, State Theatre Centre, PICA & Western Australian Museum), the Perth Mint, Bell Tower, Kings Park and Swan River. Fremantle is a 30 minute train ride from the city. Leederville is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute walk & 3 minute bus ride down from The Guest Room and has tons of shops, bars, restaurants, a train station and a free green CAT bus to the City. We can organise timetables for you and would be happy to show you how to use the public transport system. PRIVATE VEHICLES: Free street parking within 30m of The Guest Room is available for those with their own car. The Guest Room entry is accessed via our carport shelter located at the front of the property. We park our cars under the carport so ask that those travelling by car park please utilise the free street parking with the exception of unloading or loading your vehicle when you arrive and depart. Other Things to NoteCHECK-IN Generally check-in times will be 16:00, while check-out time is 12:00 noon. If we don't have any other guests coming or going on that day we can be more flexible. Let us know your arrival time so we can best suit you. We are happy to temporarily store your suitcases if needed. Original features have been maintained, including original timber floor boards through out. Guest AccessThe is a large backyard, including a small vege patch that you are welcome to harvest from. There is also a day bed, large covered area and bbq for outside dining and relaxing. Interaction with GuestsOur place is available only for the time that we are away in November and we hope to be able to arrange to meet before we leave. If this is not possible, we have family that will welcome you and provide you with keys on your arrival. The NeighborhoodThe house is close to Mount Hawthorn Village, including great restaurants, coffee, and grocery shops. The neighbourhood is littered with parks and other great amenities and is very safe for families and children of all ages. Getting AroundThe house is less than 1 minute walk from bus stops to the city and approximately 10-15 minutes walk to the closest train station. If you are driving, it is easy to get to the beach or onto the freeway to access other areas in Perth Other Things to NoteWe are looking for someone to stay for as long as possible while we are away from Saturday Novemeber 7th, returning Sunday November 29th. The second bedroom has a single bed plus a trundle mattress which can be rolled back underneath it for convenience. Both the second and third bedrooms, located at the rear of the house are quiet and restful with the second bathroom/ laundry located nearby. The dining room leads out onto the back garden so you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or two in the evening. It's very family friendly with Braithwaite Park only a 350m walk away and the main shopping area has a small playground and school holiday activities for the kids. If you're looking for more adult entertainment Mt Hawthorn is also known for it's great little cafes, restaurants and bars and is only 3kms from the buzz of Leederville with even more restaurants, cafes and bars!
