The SpaceThis 1-bedroom, open-concept apartment is over a freestanding garage and is completely private with its own entrance. The apartment comfortably fits 1–2 people. It may be possible to also accommodate a small child in a pack-and-play--contact owners if interested.
The apartment has a small sitting area; a well equipped kitchen with stove and full sized refrigerator with icemaker; an eat-in dining area; a King bedroom; and a full bath. You will be comfortable in the central AC. There is off street parking and we invite you to enjoy our large garden and outdoor seating areas. There is cable TV and wifi. The apartment is adjacent to an historic home, built in the 1880's.
Mt. Sterling is at exit 110 off I-64, 35 miles east of Lexington. The apartment is in downtown Mt. Sterling, within walking distance to restaurants, antique stores, and the Gateway Regional Arts Center. Mt. Sterling is also well-known for its annual October Court Days festival.
Mt. Sterling is conveniently located between the horse farms and bourbon distilleries of Lexington and its environs and the outdoor areas of Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Forest.
-30 minute drive from Red River Gorge which has beautiful hiking trails and world class rock climbing

Guest AccessGuests will have full access to the backyard and its beautiful garden, as well as patios and a back porch off the pool room. There is a possibility of swimming in an indoor resistance pool and use of an elliptical trainer if the owners are present and if their schedule permits. An outdoor grill is available Interaction with GuestsWe will be in close touch with our guests and generally, will meet them and show them around. Should we not be available at arrival time, you will have detailed instructions for the apartment. There is always someone available for back up. We will provide coffee and tea for the apartment. Hosts are always available via phone or email for any questions that may arise. The NeighborhoodThe Gateway Regional Arts Council sponsors many art exhibits, concerts, and performances. The first Friday of the month during Summer and Fall there are vendors and music downtown. Prior to a visit to Mt. Sterling, we suggest that you check the Arts Council and Chamber of Commerce schedules. There is an excellent antique store, Roberts' Antiques, which has an unusual and large collection of antique lighting and culinary tools. They have signed Tiffany and Steuben lamps and hundreds of chandeliers as well as beautiful furniture. There is also a large collection of locks,rim locks and signed Carpenter locks and beautiful brass doorknobs. It is run by my husband's family, just to provide full disclosure. Getting AroundThe apartment is less than a 5 minute walk to downtown. Other Things to NoteThe apartment has a coffeemaker, full size fridge with ice maker, and an electric stove.
