This casita was our home for 15 years,(we built it in 1995) now it is the guest house to our newly built big house on the same property. We are at the end of a dead end road with 360 views. The house is two stories, with two bedrooms upstairs one with a queen and the other with a bunk bed with a single on top and double below. There is only 1 bathroom and it is upstairs. There is a gate at the top of the stairs to keep wee ones from tumbling down. It has radiant heat and the passive solar will knock your socks off. It has an outdoor hot tub with a wall around it. We live next door approx. 50 yards away with our 8 year old daughter and Rat Terrier Pancho(he is a dog, not a rat). The house is 850 sq feet and best suited for a couple with or with out kids. We are a 1.5 miles to Arroyo Seco, the jewel of Taos County, 9 miles from Taos Ski Valley, and 10 miles to the town of Taos. Keywords: Casita

No hay como la jolla! There is nothing as precious as a jewel, the original name given to our village of Velarde. It truly is La Jolla del Rio Grande. En La Esquina, on the corner, you will see, feel and experience what those that lived in the house for decades experienced — the adobe walls rising out of the ground, beautiful vigas overhead supporting the roughhewn lumber ceiling. All of this in a rural setting accessible to Santa Fe, Taos & all of northern New Mexico. When you stay En La Esquina you are about 35 miles from Abiquiu, Santa Fe & Taos. Vast stretches of public land, Native American pueblos and ruins, petroglyphs, historic sites, artist studios, skiing, kayaking, world-class golf, hot springs and casinos are all within reach. Visit your favorite site for the day and return to your home away from home for a relaxing night. House features include: * One bedroom, including queen-sized bed * One bathroom with tub * Fully-equipped kitchen/dining area, * Living room with sleeper sofa, TV, DVD player and video library * Wireless Internet * Washer and dryer * Tile and laminate wood floors throughout Keywords: Adobe Casita, Rural Setting, Quiet, Centralized
