The SpaceThe cottage is ideally suited for two although it can accommodate up to four. There is a queen bed with en-suite with a single put-you-up available and the living room has a double sofa bed. The kitchen area includes a micro-wave, hotplate, fridge/freezer and there is tea/coffee available including a Nespresso machine! A verandah overlooks the vineyard & paddocks and has an outdoor setting & BBQ for your enjoyment. Both rooms of the cottage are air-conditioned, the bed has an electric blanket and will be made comfortable for your arrival. There is a range of condiments in the kitchen. Also available are towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner, a hairdryer, and iron/ironing board to make your stay easy. Guest AccessWe are happy to accompany guests on a walk through the vineyard & tour of the SHORT SHEEP Micro-Winery with a personal wine tasting. Depending on the time of year experience a range of winery & vineyard operations. Vintage is between February & April but there is lots going on at other times of the year. Interaction with GuestsOwners Sue & Tony live and work on the property and are always more than pleased to chat about growing grapes & making wine! The Cottage is separate to the main house connected by a breezeway. The main house contains a Studio that is also available through airbnb. The Micro-Winery & Cellar door, which is located on the property are open to the public 7 days from 10-5. However, due to it's orientation, the Cottage does provide you with privacy. If you are short on time you can fly to Dubbo and drive one hour to Mudgee. Or there is a train service from Sydney to Lithgow with a connection coach to Mudgee. However it is recommended that you have a car as the property is located just out of town. Mudgee is a great spot to base yourself to see so many wonders of Australia. You are located 2 hours to the heritage listed Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves. You are an hour to the famous Western Plains zoo at Dubbo. You are only 3.5 hours easy drive from Sydney. The SpaceOur home Eastonville is one of the few remaining historical homes in Dubbo. It was built around 1878 and has been lovingly restored to it's original glory. We are located close to the CBD area only minutes walk to the Cultural centre, cafes, restaurants, Victoria park, theatre, shops, railway station and 10 minute drive to Dubbo Zoo. We are happy to provide pickup and drop off transport to and from the airport with adequate notice. We have a double room for 1 or 2 guests with separate access. There is plenty of on street parking available and off street if required. We are more than happy to provide a tour of our historic home and Paul's collection of restored vintage/classic cars. Guest AccessWe do not allow pets at our accommodation and smoking is only accepted outside. We try to be flexible with check in/out times and personal needs.     The SpaceThe Garden Apartment has a private entrance into a courtyard which has an outdoor seating area. Inside is two sofas and a king bed. A fully fitted kitchen and large refrigerator means that you can cook and eat-in and relax. The Apartment is air conditioned and for the colder months, a real combustion fire. There is a dressing room and separate shower and toilet.

    The SpaceShare our unique slice of history, a perfect blend of old and new. Our unique residence will make you feel welcome and part of the Gulgong History. Built in 1871, the Chapel was one of the first buildings erected during the gold rush days and has Local heritage status. This building has two histories, that of the Wesleyan Chapel and the Oddfellows Hall. The additions which are now used as our guest accommodation, have be acknowledged with a heritage award for "Best sympathetic additions to a residential building". The immediate neighbourhood is mostly heritage listed and set in the Church Precinct, making for interesting walks and photo opportunities. A continental breakfast is served in the Chapel Dining Room where we have historical literature and photos available for perusal at your leisure. The Downstairs Studio has a Queen Size Bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a bar fridge, TV/DVD, comfortable seating arrangement, reverse cycle air conditioner private bathroom with shower and ball and claw bath. Private entry via french doors onto the courtyard. l Guest AccessOur guests have access to the courtyard and BBQ facilities, they are also most welcome to wonder through our garden. We have Wi Fi network available and each room had its own private bathrooms. Interaction with GuestsWe respect our guests needs, should guests wish to share time with us we enjoy sharing our knowledge of Gulgong and surrounding areas, However should our guests like to enjoy their time together in private we respect their wishes The NeighborhoodOur neighbourhood is quiet, We are surrounded by churches so a stroll is perfect at sunset and photo opportunities are wonderful from the top our little Lane Hill. We are a short walk approx 500m to the centre of town no need to turn a wheel once you have arrived. Everything is within walking distance, clubs, pubs, restaurants and museums. Getting AroundAny activity within Gulgong is an easy walk, however should you wish to visit Mudgee it will take 25 mins by car. Should you wish to take a wine bus tour this can be arranged via Mugee and from Gulgong times and numbers would have to be confirmed. Other Things to NoteShould you wish to day a lovely walk there is a lovely area 24km from the B & B called the Drip. Beautiful rocks and pebble creek. Well worth a visit in dry weather.

    The SpacePLEASE READ ABOUT OUR ROUTINE :We are a working couple who offer our home as a base for people to enjoy the beautiful Mudgee region. We offer a private room with queen bed.There are two rooms and each room is the price as listed - each room takes a couple. We welcome friendly people who want to explore the Mudgee Region and all its beauty. Mudgee is a winegrowing and agricultural area as well as a small town with beautiful buildings and alfresco eating in many areas of the streets. There are boutique cellar doors and plenty of restaurants open in the area as well. We can drive you to a local place if our schedule allows if you wish to have a few wines at a cellar door. We are a working couple and sometimes are up early in the morning to go to work. This would be about 6 am if at all .We are not excessively noisy however would like people to know this. We are 6 to 10 mins out of town by car from Mudgee and 15 mins from Gulgong an historical mining town. Dubbo is 1.5 hrs away with a world famous zoo. The accomodation is in a private room with bathroom and toilet down the hall which would be shared with other guest if there are any at the same time. Electric blankets on every bed as it can get cold here in Mudgee in winter. The accomodation includes continental breakfast that you would make yourself. You are welcome to make tea and coffee whenever you like .You are welcome to have homemade scrambled eggs for breakfast if you want to cook it for yourself - the eggs are fresh from the nest!! We hope you like our house and our sheep, shetland pony chooks and cows - we love our home and think it is a great alternative to pokey motel accomodation Importanty,we love our 3 dogs and they do come inside so please only book if you enjoy the company of dogs and sheep in the paddocks bleating etc. We have WiFi and there is plenty of parking in the house yard There is a gate to open as you drive into the 25 acres due to our cattle grazing near a main road so you would have to open that to get to the house which is at the end of a 400 metre drive on gravel road. The scenery is magnificent and the gardens a beautiful place to sit and unwind. Guest AccessGuests basically have a whole house to themselves even though it is connected to our home it is separated by a swimming pool and atrium. They have access to the grounds vineyard paddocks , swimming pool Interaction with GuestsWe are always available for any needs our guests may have . However we keep to our own private residence. Once a day I catch up with guest to make sure they are ok and if they need any advice about the area and any recommendations. The NeighborhoodThe Eurunderee valley is very picturesque with a mix of vineyards , pastures and orchards. All seasons of the year have their own beauty from the lush greens of summer to the misty cold mornings of winter . Always a delight to walk amongst the vines in any season . Getting AroundWe do not have any public transport in our rural area. However we do have taxi service that will do pick up and drop off. Approximately $25 each way. Other Things to NoteLynwood house is a smoke free zone. Because we experience long periods of drought seasonally it is important that no smoking inside or outside the house be adhered to . Bush fires can be a problem .

    The SpaceDewhurst Studio is set in a quiet cul de sac, surrounded by Dewhurst Reserve. A large stand of trees surrounding Dewhurst Studio attracts many large birds including kookaburras, galahs, cockatoos, king parrots and rainbow lorikeets. The birds enjoy using bird baths and feeders located in the established gardens surrounding the main residence. The studio is self-contained and a generous breakfast platter is provided along with a bottle of Vinifera Wine (local), complimentary with each stay. This will encourage you to visit local wineries and the many attractions that Mudgee and its surrounds have to offer. There are a number of pleasant walks that can be taken within the immediate vicinity and the town centre can be reached within comfortable 20 -25 minute time frame (or a 5 minute drive). Bedroom 2 views are of the hill behind us - enjoy watching the wallabies as they come down from the hill from the comfort of your bed. Bedding configuration is two queen beds and one queen sofa bed (located downstairs). Guest AccessThe Lookout is situated on our property which we live on as well. Our house is located about 200m from The Lookout, so guests can enjoy the privacy of an entire house during their stay. Enjoy breakfast on the balcony or the courtyard. A lovely place to settle for a few days. We welcome children to play on our beautiful lawns. We are a nice stroll to the magnificent Mt. Frome district which has the Cudgegong River flowing through it. We can organise bike riding and wine tours. We can comfortably fit a group of up to 7 people (3 doubles and 1 single in 3 seperate bedrooms). Extra charges apply for use of the additional rooms. $10 extra we can provide a fold up bed for a child in the lounge room of the Old School House. The NeighborhoodThe Burrundulla district is considered one of Mudgee's finest with rich grazing and farming land on the river flats of the nearby Cudgegong River. As such there is a variety of small farms. The drive along the Burrundulla Rd from town is very pleasant as you pass vineyards, horse studs, sheep, cattle and olive groves. You get spectacular views of the surrounding hills. Its very peaceful and very pretty. We are next door to a vineyard and some wandering livestock. We have nice views of the surrounding hills and river flats. Getting AroundA taxi into town for around $20 should you want to leave the car at home. You can hire push bike or bring your own for the easy and pleasant riding into town and through the vineyards. There are several tour operators that will pick you up and take you wine tasting for the day. The Old School House is a very pleasant 10 minute stroll to the beautiful Mt. Frome district which lends itself to many spectacularly beautiful picnic and fishing spots along the Cudgegong River. Other Things to NoteThere are two other nice bedrooms available for an additonal price. The other room is a standard motel style room with a double bed and ensuite. The 3rd bedroom known as the Weather Shed has a constable queen bed with a new bathroom. Please note it is a minimum 2 night stay on Fri and Sat nights.

Built in 1871, the Chapel was one of the first buildings erected during the gold rush days and has Local heritage status. This building has two histories, that of the Wesleyan Chapel and the Oddfellows Hall. The additions which are now used as our guest accommodation, have been acknowledged with a heritage award for "Best sympathetic additions to a residential building". The immediate neighbourhood is mostly heritage listed and set in the Church Precinct, making for interesting walks and photo opportunities. Settle down after arriving or touring the area to a quiet drink under the trees and enjoy our magnificent 360º views of rural Australia. Of a night, lay on a rug under the stars which are finer than most have ever seen. Enjoy the summer nights and the absolute quiet of rural setting which most have never heard. Or the open fire with marshmallows. The 3 studios are king-size rooms, containing a large ensuite (and description below) and an internal door between the Aqua Studio and both others if you wish. No linen required. All studios with full glass wall/doors leading out to the 20 metre veranda facing north and Dubbo: 1. Heritage Studio (red wall in photos on website) has a king bed, single bed with pull out double sofa bed (children), sleeps 5 comfortably. 2. Aqua Studio (aqua wall in photos on website) has king bed, 2 single beds with trundle and a pull out double sofa bed (children), sleeps 7 comfortably (an extra fold up bed could be added to sleep 8). 3. Earth Studio (beige wall in photos on website) UsualIy on arrival, I give a little talk explaining the rules, introducing our animals, showing guests their studio and communal areas, settling children and animals into our property. Many guests it is their first time on a rural property and often don't know what to expect. Rural life is very different to city life. I am available from 8 am till 8 pm for guests and enjoy showing off our wonder place. During your stay we feed the animals and I usually give a talk about the animal including "Striker" our huge bull, weigh approx 1 ton. (has a king bed, single bed & a huge lounge which extra people can camp on, sleeps 5. There are stairs off the veranda (table & chairs) to come to the garden, games room, alfresco area (wood pizza oven, BBQ, oven & open fire) main house (where I live) with communal fully equipped kitchen (gas plates) and formal lounge/dining room. The paddocks are rocky and uneven with many native grasses growing with sheep and cattle grazing. Breakfast FREE Continental Breakfast - juice, warm savoury croissants, tea or coffee. Hot Breakfast Pack “Cook yourself Pack” on the verandah BBQ - $15 pp. Cereal, milk, tea/coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, bread for toasting, spread & fruit. “We cook for you” Times 8 am – 9.00 am - $20pp. Cereal, milk, tea/coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, toast, spread & fruit. For you too self-cater, on the veranda off the studios, you have a 6 gas burner BBC and hutch with everything you might need (plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, bowls, platters, cooking utensils, wash basin, tea towels, drainer etc). At the bottom of the veranda stairs there is a hooded gas BBQ as well. There is also a heat bead Webber. Should you need other equipment or want a small oven or gas stove top, there is the communal (shared) main house kitchen which is well stocked with everything I could imagine you could need to cook up a storm. In the alfresco area, there is a wood BBQ, stove, pizza oven, and open fire. The alfresco area is off the main house kitchen. There is also a lounge/dining room for guests use in the main house. There are wonderful natural surrounds, including a lovely view of the Dubbo countryside and town in the distance, games room and animals (including dogs, chooks, ducks, sheep & cattle and native animals for you to feed) for you to enjoy and relax in. The garden is littered with toys and equipment (trampoline, climbing frame, toy stove, digger, table tennis etc…to amuse the children, and allow the adults to sit up on the elevated veranda to enjoy a wonderful time of peace and enjoy drink or two in the natural surroundings. Huge parking at the top of the driveway where you see large gate entrance and small walk-in gate. Well behaved animals are welcome and outside accommodation is provided (approval by management). Guest AccessYou do need to drive up the dirt driveway from the letter box through the left hand gate entrance and up the hill to the premises. Once at the top of the hill, park your car and walk through the single gate next to the bougainvillea and stairs to the studios. We do have a ramp instead of stairs for any disabled to the veranda & studios. The Earth Studio (disabled compliant) as a slight ramp to get over the sliding door runs. There are no screens in any of the showers, only an ever so slightly graded floor runs the water to the drain. You can use wheelchair access to the front gardens, past the back of the house, around to the gardens via our house grass/lawns to the games room and then there are ramps up in to the alfresco area and main house. Guests use their Studio, and have access to all other areas which are communal including the veranda, lawns, play area, games room, rustic alfresco area, kitchen, lounge/dining room and wander around the farm. My dogs and I have our private spaces in the main house off the kitchen and upstairs. If travelling north & coming from Molong, take the Cumnock/Yeoval turn off just coming out of Molong. Turn left onto the Banjo Paterson Way/Obley Road and travel about 45 minutes, and after going through Toongi (it is tiny so don't miss it) you will see Benolong Road on the right of a large bend.
