It is 30 minutes away from cosmopolitan San Francisco with its museums, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. It is 15 -20 minutes away from charming Mill Valley or popular tourist destination Sausalito and just 8 minutes away from Muir Woods National Monument. Muir Beach is a perfect base from which to make day trips north to the coastal towns of Tomales, Point Reyes Station, Stinson Beach, Bolinas, Inverness or Olema; venture north east to the wine country estates of Sonoma or Napa counties, or south or east to other destinations in Marin or the East Bay communities of Berkeley and Oakland. Visitors to Muir beach enjoy the area for its natural beauty, sweeping views, peace and tranquility and outdoor adventure. While this home does not have ocean views, a 2 minute walk over the hill provides a breathtaking view of the Pacific, the rocky coast and San Francisco in the distance. Trails take visitors down to the beach in minutes or up the coastal trail to hiking destinations in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Mount Tamalpais State Park or Muir Woods.
