The SpaceOur modern house is located in central Woolgoolga, on the east side of the Pacific Highway and within walking distance of shops, cafes, the beach and the popular Whale Watch Headland where you can see the whales on their northern migration (July to October).
Our house is on 2 levels, and we live on the top level.
For our guests, we have two good size bedrooms available on the downstairs level along with bathroom and large family room with TV.
Glimpses of the ocean can be seen from the "French" bedroom. Our second bedroom (the "Canadian bedroom") can be booked concurrently for additional guests. These light and airy bedrooms have Queen sized beds and ceiling fans. Both have access to outside areas where you will find peaceful places to sit and relax surrounded by pleasant gardens.
Linens, beach towels and hairdryer are provided.
A bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities are available in the guests family room.
We have no pets and the house and property is non smoking. Off street parking is available. Guest AccessYou are welcome to come upstairs and use our well equipped kitchen while enjoying the view of the ocean. Oil and spices are complimentary.
If you would prefer to eat out, you are within walking distance of cafes and clubs, or alternatively, order takeout and eat in any of our pleasant sitting areas, either inside or outside.
Our washing machine is available to you and laundry soap is provided.
You are welcome to use our bikes and boogie boards.
An upstairs deck overlooks the ocean to the north and is a popular place to eat or just relax. A BBQ is available on the deck for your use. From this vantage point you may even sight the migrating whales and other wildlife. Interaction with GuestsWe will respect your privacy, but we are also happy to share our home with you. The NeighborhoodJust 550 kms North of Sydney, 25 km north of Coffs Harbour and 365 km south of Brisbane you will find the beautiful seaside village of Woolgoolga. If you are coming into Woolgoolga from the south, you will see the imposing Guru Nanak Sikh Temple from the old highway. Woolgoolga is home to a large Sikh population who are engaged in the local blueberry industry. The annual Curry Festival showcases the Indian culture which is alive and well in Woolgoolga. Curryfest for 2016 will be held on Saturday 24 September.
Local activities include surfing, fishing, snorkeling, diving and bush walking to name a few. Bikes, boogie boards, snorkels and flippers are available for your use. The 18 hole Safety Beach Golf Course is a 5 minute drive away, and there you will be joined by a herd of kangaroos who have made the course their home. Explore the wonders of Solitary Islands Marine Park. Enjoy a wander along Woolgoolga Beach and discover the Buster Shipwreck.
With your base in Woolgoolga, you will have many day trips to choose from. Visit Coffs Harbour and enjoy its popular yet uncrowded beaches or its wide range of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences. If you wish to wander further, we recommend a trip to Bellingen and then along the Waterfall Way to the World Heritage listed Dorrigo Rainforest and Skywalk. Less than an hour to the north is the beautiful Jacaranda City of Grafton on the Clarence River.
Woolgoolga Beach Markets are held each month on the second Saturday. These popular markets are held on the beachfront reserve. Getting AroundOur home is a 10 minute walk to the main street where you will find cafes, clubs, butcher, chemist, baker, banks, art gallery and supermarket to name a few.
The Guru Nanak Sikh Temple is within walking distance of our home and there you are welcome to enjoy an Indian meal at various times during the week.
A sign posted walking tour of the village will give you an insight into its history.
There is a bus service to Coffs Harbour or Grafton from Woolgoolga. The Greyhound Bus Service also stops here if you are travelling up or down the east coast.

Each bedroom accommodates two people.
Our bedrooms are only booked concurrently by guests who are known to each other. You will not be sharing a bathroom with strangers.
Our minimum fee is $80 per night for the first room, whether it be occupied by one or two guests. The fee for additional guests in the second room is $40 per guest per night.
