The SpaceEastern Rise Studio is a wonderfully renovated studio located in the Byron Bay Hinterland region with unsurpassed views back to the Cape of Byron and the Pacific Ocean. A large deck with movable shutters to sit on and enjoy the landscape and morning sunrises is located directly off the kitchen/lounge area with two generous size bedrooms both with Queen Size beds and open storage for easy holiday planning. With amazing views looking at the Pacific Ocean and the Cape of Byron Eastern Rise is located in a small hinterland precinct called Montecollum, which is situated 5 minutes away from Mullumbimby. The following towns surround you and are all worth a visit. Mullumbimby – 5 minutes North. Turn right out of the the property – Coolamon Scenic Drive will lead you straight into town where you will find all requirements from Grocery stores to coffee shops. Byron Bay – 20 minutes East. Turn right out of the property drive about 3 kms, turn right at the golf course onto Manse Road. This will take you directly into Byron Bay. Brunswick Heads – 15 minutes North East. Turn Right out of the property and drive into Mullumbimby. Turn right at the Post Office, cross the railway tracks and continue until the T Intersection (Uncle Toms pies should be right in front of you) Turn left. At the roundabout take the Brunswick Heads exit. Bangalow – 15 minutes South East. Turn Left out of the property, travel along until you get to a T-intersection and turn left. Follow this to the Pacific Highway. Turn right onto the Pacific Highway then left at the Bangalow Turnoff. The local newspapers will be delivered each week at the top of the road. The Cedar Cottage overlooks one of the last rainforests in Northern NSW known as Fern Gully...yes this same valley that inspired Diane Young to write the story "Fern Gully" that so many of us are familiar. Conveniently located near Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads, Bangalow and Byron Bay. You are far enough away to enjoy the countryside but close enough to everything you would require including a nearby hospital. Stay at the Cedar Cottage and enjoy the peace and quiet or head out into the nearby surrounds with countless options of enjoyment just minutes drive away. It is truly an exceptional spot to be. The SpaceGreat two bedroom cabin with amazing ocean views and Byron Bay and its famous lighthouse in the distance. The apartment has two bedrooms, bathroom, laundry, tv including foxtel, wifi and a fantastic outdoor seating area that takes full advantage of the view. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second has two single beds that can be joined together to make one king size bed if accommodating two couples. Sunrises and full moons are spectacular from the hammock. The apartment is joined to another apartment but is screened off and private with it's own entrance. There is also an outside shower and bath close by in our banana packing area. It's a wonderful way to rinse off after a day at the beach. The Featherview property is a working organic banana farm. We manage the property with the best landcare and environmental practices and don't use any chemicals or harmful pesticides. Also, we focus on creating a beautiful farming landscape as much as a healthy, productive crop. Half of the property is natural bushland with pockets of rainforest and there are walks and lookouts to enjoy it fully. There are many rare and threatened species like koalas, birds, frogs, echidnas. We also have wallabies, possums, snakes and many other creatures too. Every day we have a new surprise visitor from the natural world. Due to our commitment to wildlife conservation we can't accept requests with dogs sorry. The local area is full of colour and culture with a leaning to alternative lifestyles. Friday's farmers market is a highlight not to be missed. The closest beach is a fifteen minute drive and the famous beaches and sights of Byron Bay are half an hour away. The rate starts at $130 per night but varies according to seasonal demand. Off season rates are negotiable for singles or couples. Don't be shy to make an offer and look out for last minute standby deals. Guest AccessGuests have access to kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, private bathroom, TV with Foxtel, comfortable beds. The SpaceWe have a beautiful home near the Crystal Castle five minutes drive from Mullumbimby with breathtaking views of the ocean and Byron Bay in the distance! Situated on 22 acres of beautiful Byron Hinterland farm land and bordering a nature reserve, we have a great, private single room self contained apartment on the ground floor of our house for one or two guests. The apartment has a basic kitchen, laundry, TV, queen size bed, fold out sofa lounge, wifi internet. Entrance is separate to the rest of the house which adds to the privacy. We often don't see guests after check in unless interested in a farm tour. The solar heated, rainwater shower and bath is outside in the garden so it may not suit everyone but anyone with an inner hippie will love it. It's our most popular feature and many return just for the shower! It's like showering under a warm water waterfall with fresh air and greenery all around. It suits nature lovers or naturists and not so suitable for anyone not comfortable with that idea. There is NO inside shower. We should point out we live directly upstairs and have a toddler so toddler noise might vibrate through the ceiling occasionly. We discount the rate slightly due to the potential noise although it hasn't been an issue so far. The property is a working banana farm. Although we are not certified organic we manage the farm using natural systems ie. nutrient cycling with mulch and compost and we don't use chemicals. We harvest year round and love showing off the property and farming operation and sharing ideas about landscape management and sustainability, We always have lots of bananas for guests. Over half the property is natural bushland with lots of wildlife including koalas, wallabies, echidnas, rare birds and frogs. The property has some beautiful bushwalks including one to the top of our hill where you will see some of the best views in the region. We are about a 20 min drive from Byron Bay and 15 minutes from the beaches of Brunswick Heads. Rates start at $60 per night and vary according to seasonal demand. Longer term stays are welcome and very negotiable so if you're interested in accommodation for a month or more don't hesitate to contact us and ask questions or make an offer.

A waste water system processes all grey water on the property and we have solar hot water and solar panels on the roof. The property is a haven for birds and other wildlife. Spend your days relaxing on the verandah, reading or napping, yoga stretches on the deck and dipping in the pool. Original artworks and beautiful antiques furnish the interior space. You are welcome to use our board games and borrow books from our library during your stay - just please don't take them to the beach! The kitchen garden has herbs and greens for your meals and fruits in season. We ask that you compost and recycle during your stay. A cot and highchair available on request. There are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and a further 2 beds - one a single in the study and the other a double Indian daybed in the lounge room. Interaction with GuestsWe are often away as we do volunteer work overseas but if not we will be living in the studio on the property. If we are absent, our 2 adult sons are also living on the property and are there to assist you with any problems, care for the garden and pool. They will be sensitive to your privacy and tend to maintenance discreetly. Being 3 minutes drive into either Mullumbimby or Brunswick Heads (which has some great beaches) is wonderful. We are also only 15 minutes drive to Byron Bay. We have an established orchid that you can enjoy too. Getting AroundThere is a bus stop right at the end of our driveway at Uncle Tom's Pies which can take you to Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads or Byron Bay making it easy to get around. The SpaceWelcome to our beautiful big modern studio, all timber, with lots of windows and lovely views! It is shaped like a yurt: round, with an extra rectangular bedroom area. Inside you will find a very comfortable queen size bed with a pillow top mattress, facing huge concertina glass doors, and a large open lounge/kitchen/dining area. There is also a king single day bed and a pull out single foam mattress for an extra person. There is a modern bathroom with a shower and toilet inside the yurt. It's in a quiet spot only a 15 min drive to Byron Bay and 5 min to Mullumbimby. There is a full kitchen and the yurt is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots and pans needed to cook a great meal. A selection of teas and fresh coffee , as well as milk, sugar and other bits and pieces will be waiting for you. Breakfast can be provided at an extra cost upon request. A lot of the neighbourhood is dairy farmland with rolling hills of beautiful green pasture Smoking outside only and well behaved animals are welcome. The SpacePallis Hills is a country retreat with a small citrus orchard on 5 acres in the quiet gentleness of the Byron hinterland. We are in the middle of a Koala corridor, with occasional sightings, and are regularly visited by the Kangaroo and joey you see in the photograph, plus amazing bird life. The laneway is a popular walking path for locals. The house is a large Queenslander, and your space is fully self-contained in the downstairs portion (see map in the photos). The apartment is on ground level, with French doors that open to let in the breeze. Freshly painted and decorated. Will comfortably fit 2 people, with both indoor and outdoor living spaces to enjoy. Or we have a 2nd room that can be made available (inquire costs based on availability). We will leave you supplies to get you started including breakfast cereals, bread, fruit and milk, and there is the pod based coffee machine for your use. The 20 m lap pool is available for your private use during your stay. The property is situated 10 minutes to Mullumbimby , Brunswick, Bangalow and 12 minutes to Byron. All these local places have a farmers market on different days of the week. We leave the local paper & brochures so that you can see whats on in the area.You will need your own transport to get around as you are in the countryside with limited public transport. The SpaceThe Cottage is an 8 sided hard wood, hand carved structure made in Bali to my design. It is self contained with it's own kitchen and bathroom. It has a veranda all around it with an outside sitting area catching the afternoon sun. It is right next to a small secluded river which also has a sitting area next to it. It's lots of fun rowing around on the river in our 2 rubber boats. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, large fridge, double sink and also with a blender and toaster. An assortment of teas, coffee, honey, sugar, long life milk, soya milk , muesli, jams & spreads are provided. You are also most welcome to help yourselves to any vegetable and fruit growing in our certified organic garden. The kitchen and bathroom are outside on the verandah. They are in absolute privacy with no one able to see in at all. The nearest neighbours are a long way away and the place is totally secluded by trees. You can sit on the loo and really enjoy the best seat in the cottage overlooking the creek! In case its raining strongly there are huge lined bamboo blinds that roll down enclosing the kitchen and bathroom completely. There is a brazier in the outside sitting area next to the river and lots of wood for you to make yourselves a nice fire in the evenings. Many guests have enjoyed this fire under the stars. Guest AccessThere is easy parking access on the lawn at the end of the driveway. You are also welcome to use the 11 mt. x 4 mt. oval swimming pool and it's shaded wooden hut - the "Bali Bale". Interaction with GuestsAs it's the "Honeymoon Cottage", we will leave you totally alone, once we have shown you around, so you have total privacy. However should you like to knock on our door, call out, ring us or SMS, you are more than welcome to do so for any reason. We will gladly provide advise or anything you may need. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is rural countryside with cows and some goats up the road. It has rolling hills and a small untouched river runs through the middle of our 7 ares. The river runs into a Nature Reserve with the large Lagoon on it just at the edge of our property. We are just 4 minutes drive from the wonderful alternative town of Mullumbimby with it's excellent whole food store and supermarket and 16 mins. from Byron Bay with it's wonderful beaches and fabulous shops. Getting AroundThere is public transport going between Mullumbimby and Byron Bay but it isnt very frequent. Hitch hiking is very easy in our neighbourhood but having your own car is definitely recommended. Taxis are available too and can easily be booked. Other Things to NoteIf you have young children and want them sleeping in the same room as you, we can provide extra mattresses and bedding. For older children and teenagers, there is a delightful real "Mongolian Yurt" 40 metres away that they can sleep in. It has mattresses in it and bedding can be provided for a small extra cost. Please ask for photos of it and prices. We have a cat but he will only come and visit you if you encourage him to do so! There are lots of birds, ducks and other river birds around to serenade you. There are Bandicoots who like to dig up the lawn now and then. If you're lucky you will see the pair of Possums, the water dragon lizards and the 4 Black Cockatoos !

The main bedroom has a king sized bed, walk-in wardrobe and full bathroom. The second and third bedrooms have queen-sized beds and built in robes. There is a separate bathroom across the hall. The floors are timber with scattered rugs and all rooms have ceiling fans. There is a large deck with with an outside dining area, beautiful sunsets and hinterland views. The house is set on a 24-acre piece of paradise with active bird life and surrounded by expansive lawns for children. Brunswick Heads (13 min drive) provides amazing beaches, a beautiful river, shopping and restaurants. Byron Bay (15 min drive) provides amazing beaches, walks, restaurants, movie theatre, incredible shopping and a great nightlife. A private sanctuary high set on an expansive ridge line with some of the best magical hinterland views in the Byron Shire. We are also nestled amongst lush gardens, huge fig trees, macadamias, mangoes and wildlife in our echo-friendly rainwater retreat yet only minutes to the funky town of Mullumbimby. Country Castle is ideally located 6 minutes to the Blues Festival site; 10 minutes to Splendour, 6 minutes to nearest beach at Brunswick Heads, 5 minutes to the famous "Farm" and 15 minutes to Byron. Indulge the vast north facing terraces, endless skies, all day winter sun and coastline breezes. This elegant lady has large rooms with 16ft high ceilings, eclectic mid century and deco furniture, original hoop pine heritage floors and a very chilled feel. Two verandahs take in the vista, plenty of lounge spaces, a formal dining room, piano room and reading and writing nooks. There is a cosy TV wing with huge usb TV, Netflix plus old fashioned board and lawn games for all your big kid needs. The little kids have their very own miniature queenslander house to play in complete with slide and sand pit and plenty of flat lawns to run and play. We also have a horse called Prince in our lower paddock who loves to be fed apples and carrots each day! The home has 4 queen bedrooms; 3 upstairs and an enormous self-contained studio apartment downstairs. The apartment doubles as your yoga/dance studio with mirrors and barres in place and gorgeous views over the garden. We recommend 8 persons to share the two and half full bathrooms, however there are additionally 2 x twin king singles for an extra charge. Although you will feel far away from it all, Mullumbimby's restaurants, 18 hole golf course and a tranquil olympic pool set amongst palm trees are only a couple of minutes drive away. Country Castle is 35 minutes to Gold Coast and Ballina airports with stunning National Park walks only 30 minutes away. The Blues Fest site is less than 10 minutes drive across the highway and of course Mullum Music Festival just down the road depending on what time of year you wish to visit. splendour venue also 10 minutes away. Ask us about transfers. Beaches and the gorgeous town of Brunswick is 7 minutes away, Byron just 15 minutes and quaint Bangalow the same. We are literally in the heart ❤️ of it all!
