The SpaceOur farm is tucked into a beautiful, isolated, north-south valley on the western slope of the coast range of southern Oregon, with a clear and clean river named Middle Creek running through. Lush pasture, a 100 year old conifer forest, barns, and a home surrounded by productive and established orchard, flower beds and veggie gardens, the land sits a mile or so below a narrows in the canyon of blue-green mountains that face the sea. As a place of serenity and lush beauty close to nature, this is the ideal retreat or inspirational getaway far from the hustle and bustle of big cities and busy highways.
Our two available bedrooms sit in the west wing of our craftsman/lodge style farmhouse. They are available separately or together and this listing is for the smaller room with a queen sized bed. The other room (also with a queen bed) can be booked via the other listing for this location. There is a tile bathroom with a sink and toilet in between the two bedrooms, and a shared deck directly outside. The underwater themed tile master bathroom, across the living room, has a shower for guest use. The property also houses a studio building with a mirrored dance/work-out/yoga studio/home theater on the upper level that is available for AirBnB guests to use upon request. Our living room and kitchen are shared spaces, available for your use at any time.
As we host work-traders through the WWOOF organization from Spring to Autumn, we have breakfast together in the morning after the goats have been milked and the chickens have been fed. You are welcome to join us for this meal if you are an early riser! We all have group meals for dinner around 7 PM. All meal details will be arranged at booking.
A winding, scenic, paved 20 minute drive takes you to the old town and county seat of Coquille, and another 20 minutes lands you in the city of Coos Bay, which is the second largest port on the renowned Oregon coast. South of that is the quaint town of Bandon-by-the-Sea where the southern stretch of breathtaking sea-stacked rocks begins, leading to the giant redwoods in northern California. Old-growth forests are a short drive from the farm, and beautiful hiking, running and biking routes along the river and within the canyon are accessible from our property. There is also a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole a mile up the road from the farm (right onto Middle Creek Road from Driveway). Roseburg and the I-5 corridor are slightly over an hour away with easy access to winery tour routes and other parts of Oregon or California.
*A few of our main flower gardens are currently under renovation, sorry for the inconvenience.*
