I am more than happy to share a glass of wine/cup of tea and to pass on my knowledge of the area, places to see, things to do etc and just chat. The NeighborhoodKensington is a great suburb..
It is centrally located to the Sydney CBD, Mascot airport, Sydney's Eastern beaches.. Bondi, Bronte, Clovelly, Coogee, Maroubra, Prince of Wales Hospital (and Sydney Children's Hospital and Royal Hospital for Women), UNSW, Centennial Park, Randwick Racecourse, the Sydney Cricket Ground and the Sydney Football Stadium (Aussie Stadium).
Kensington is a very settled (quiet) suburb, with a good mix of apartments and some lovely houses (think large Californian Bungalows, Australian federation style homes).
Kensington is very close to some great eating strips (there are a good mix of local restaurants and take aways within the suburb, but I'd recommend visiting the surrounding foodie havens just one or two suburbs away (Waterloo and Surry Hills are the closest).
There's a nice French style coffee shop less than 50 metres from my apartment that does great coffee, pastries and ready made baguettes.
Kensington is well serviced by public transport with express busses to the city (and to central railway if you need to catch a train further afield) and very regular busses to the beaches and neighbouring suburbs.
If you're driving, there is plenty of on street parking in my street. My apartment is just a short walk to bus stops with very regular busses to take you to the city (Sydney CBD) or beaches or surrounding suburbs. Getting AroundThere are lots of public transport options ( a host of different bus routes) within easy walking distance to get you where you'd like to go!
