The NeighborhoodBordering Coogee and its beaches and Centennial Park and its green lawns, Kingsford is a convenient and cheery neighbourhood in Sydney's southeast. Buses connect Kingsford with Bondi Junction's shopping attractions and boards and bikes roll residents around to the beach.
Kingsford is bordered by Coogee, Randwick, Queens Park, Waverly, South Coogee, Maroubra, Bronte, Clovelly, and Kensington.
A patchwork of university students, center-city commuters, and local bakers and butchers, Kingsford feels conventional without feeling commonplace. A few miles from the CBD, it’s a convenient hub and convivial meeting spot where it’s nice to say hi to your neighbor from your apartment balcony and hail the bus driver before the light turns green. Kingsford’s not swanky or chic, but its proximity to beaches, parks, and good nature make it hard to pass up.
There’s a strip of restaurants in Kingsford where you can’t have a bad meal. From UNSW to uptown Maroubra you’ll find some of the best Chinese, Malaysian and Indonesian food Sydney has to offer. Getting AroundThe Sydney Domestic and International Airport is a 13 minute drive away, Coogee Beach 9 minutes and you can be in the Sydney CBD in 15 minutes.
