The SpaceThis flat is super cosy, clean and tidy.
The room has a big window that faces the balcony. Big built-in wardrobe with mirrors. The room has a queen size bed, a standing desk and a little fan for those warm summer days in Sydney. Guest AccessBed sheets and towels are provided, and you can use all the facilities: living room with TV, bathroom, full-equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Interaction with GuestsI'm very open to help you with anything you need to move around the city. This will make your life easier and fun. The Inner-West suburbs are known for their vibrant cultural life, and Marrickville definitely one of them. If you're visiting and interested in the cultural activities the city and the area has to offer, I can give you lots of tips. The NeighborhoodYou’ll love my place because it’s cosy, bright, tidy and sunny. It's super well located and very close to all the wonders that Marrickville has to offer: Vietnamese restaurants, shops, ATMs, cool bars. Marrickville is known for its cultural underground vibe. On Sundays you can visit the Organic Foods Markets on Addison Road (20 min walking distance), and get all your fruit, veggies, nuts, bread and lots of delicious treats and beautiful coffee. Getting AroundWell located in a quiet street just two blocks away from the main road (Marrickville Road) and 10 min walk to Illawarra Road. Marrickville train station is 20 min walking, and bus stops are 5 min walking from the building. Marrickville is also 20 in away from Newtown by bus, and 10 min away by train.
If you like the beach, there's a train station (Sydenham) that takes you to Bondi Junction (station where you take the bus to the beach). There are not train stations at the beach, so you'll have to take the bus either you stay in the inner west or any other inner city suburbs. If you drive to the beach, it will take you around 25min without traffic. It's not easy to find parking (and it's expensive) close to the beach, but you can always park a bit further and walk.
If you have a car, there are plenty of parking spots on the street. If you're travelling and want to rent a car there's a "Car next door" just outside the building, and I have a spear bicycle if you want to ride around the area. Other Things to NoteIn mid January I won't be here so you will be sharing the space with my flatmate.
I'm a phd student and I will be visiting my family for a month (15th Jan - 19th Feb). My flatmate is a full time professional, very sweet and considerate. We are both pretty chilled 34 years old girls looking for someone alike. We don't mind partying as long as it's not in the flat, as we like to keep it clean and tidy.
I'm Chilean, and my flatmate is Portuguese-Australian. We normally speak English at home, but if you speak Spanish or Portuguese and you're tired of thinking in English all day, this is your place. Mind you, I won't be here all the time.
