The SpaceOur beautiful apartment is in a small block of 12 units, in the harbourside suburb of Wollstonecraft. Wollstonecraft is a secret little suburb unknown to most, and we like to keep it that way! It is safe, leafy, within a stone's throw of all the best that Sydney offers, close to public transport, restaurants, bars and beautiful Sydney Harbour.
Our apartment is breezy, light-filled and full of character. Guest AccessYou will have complete access to a beautiful double bedroom with ample hanging space for your clothes. The bedroom is light-filled but has block out blinds if you need to sleep in. There is also a ceiling fan to keep you cool.
You will also have space to all shared areas.
Our apartment was recently renovated and has a brand new bathroom with massive shower with the added luxury of a rainwater head and a semi free-standing bath. Jen is a bit of a foodie, so the kitchen is fully equipped. We have a microwave, dishwasher, oven and cooktop. Cold water is available on tap from our water filter. You will also have access to our washer and dryer which are located downstairs.
We have high-speed internet and a Smart TV with Netflix, Stan and Apple TV. We also have a soundbar that you can connect your phone to and play music.
You will also have access to our beautiful balcony and BBQ. One of our favourite things to do is to sit outside in the afternoons with a cold drink. Interaction with GuestsWe are currently having a digital lock installed which will give our guests freedom at check in. In the meantime, Jen will greet you and show you around and give you any advice you need about activities or getting around the area. We will also be contactable at all times, by email or text. Getting AroundOur apartment is less that 4km (walking or driving) to the Sydney CBD, with two train stations a short walk away, a bus stop at the door that takes you right to the harbour and McMahons Point Ferry terminal and the beautiful Berry Island only a few minutes walk away. We are also only a few minutes walk from Crows Nest, one of Sydney's most vibrant villages, packed with restaurants, cafes, bars, spas, gourmet food stores and shopping.
Public transport services in Wollstonecraft are fantastic! Take the train from Wollstonecraft or Waverton station over the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the CBD and in 10 minutes be at Sydney's tourist attractions like the Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay, the Botanic Gardens, The Rocks (Sydney's vibrant historical area), China Town, Darling Harbour and the new Barangaroo development. Museums, art galleries, shopping, theatres and amazing restaurants!
Bus services also run from close to the apartment to Luna Park, Taronga Zoo, Neutral Bay and some of Sydney's best beaches.
For those seeking a bit more freedom, GoGet cars are conveniently located all over Wollstonecraft, with one on our street. Street parking is free and readily available outside the apartment block.
Our space is suitable for most, including travellers, those here on business or those visiting friends and family. For those visiting friends or family in hospital, we are on the same street as the Mater Hospital. Other Things to NoteAbout Us
We are Jen & Chris.
Jen is a local Sydney-sider. Her whole family lives in the area. Jen is a lawyer and works in the CBD. Her favourite things are travel and cooking/eating. She has lots of good tips on things to do in Sydney, and has an uncanny way of finding out about the best new bars and restaurants!
Chris is originally from Melbourne but moved to Sydney in 2014. He is a qualified accountant and engineer but finds it difficult (or boring) to explain what he actually does for a living. Chris LOVES sport, particularly American sport. If you like talking stats, Chris is your new best friend!
Delly is our kitten. She is named after Jen's favourite basketballer, Matthew Dellavedova. Delly is a beautiful Burmese who loves humans and plays fetch like a dog. Delly will mostly keep to herself but doesn't mind the odd pat on her head and she likes her tummy rubbed. Please don't be turned off by her - even the most cat-phobic have had their minds changed by Delly!
