From the apartments you can reach most of Salzburgs attractions by walking. The fortress, museums, the Festspielhaus where most concerts and operas of the Salzburg festivals take place, Mirabellgarden , etc.
If you are staying 3 days or longer I recommend getting a Salzburg card for 3 days (not so much more expensive than for one day) , it includes free access to all museums and sightseeing places, the cable car up the Untersberg and all city busses.
In the winter there is a ski bus taking guests from Salzburg to the nearby skying resorts. Guest AccessOn the ground floor there is a washing room belonging to all 3 apartments with a washing machine and tumble dryer. No extra charge. You can also use the small garden in the back and the bike hut in case you rent a bike. Interaction with GuestsAs I don`t live in Salzburg I am not always able to wait for my guests at the apartment or meet them. Therefore I send them detailed instructions how to access the keys and informations about the apartment. My neighbor on the ground floor left door, Mariana Teodorian, who speaks perfect English, takes care of my guests and my apartments when I am not there. The NeighborhoodA nice quiet neighbourhood, yet close to the historical center. Many restaurants in walking distance , a bakery 4 minutes, supermarkets 8-10 minutes and bus stations 3-5 walking minutes away. You walk about 15 minutes to the historical center and 20 minutes to the Festspielhaus (concert hall). You will find a list of restaurants and coffee shops with their addresses, phone number and opening days in the folder on the kitchen table. Also of the nearby supermarkets. Getting AroundBus 27 from the train station, to the center, train station and airport. The bus station is about 4 walking minutes away. Bus number 2, 5-6 minutes away, from the airport, get off at Hans Schmidt Platz, walk back until Glansteg, turn left, cross the little bridge, first street right is Ganshofstrasse.
Don't take bus 27 from the airport, it takes much longer than bus number 2. Other Things to NoteIf there are no guests leaving the day you arrive you can check in any time, otherwise the apartment will be ready around 13 o`clock but if you arrive earlier you can bring your luggage after 10 and go for a walk until the apartment is ready.
On the day you leave I need the apartment at 10 o`clock for final cleaning if there are guests coming that day, otherwise at 12.
