The NeighborhoodLeblon is one of the noblest districts of Rio de Janeiro, right in the heart of the South Zone of the city, which took shape between Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, the Atlantic Ocean, Dois Irmãos Hill and the Garden Channel of Alá. The neighborhood is bordered by Gávea, Lagoa and Ipanema. Its inhabitants include some of the names of the elite cultural, economic and political Carioca, reason why the own flanar by the streets of the neighborhood is considered a tourist attraction. Besides, of course, its exuberant beach, from where the cariocas usually applaud the cinematographic sunset behind Morro Dois Irmãos. Some of its most traditional streets, which give shape to the life of the Rio de Janeiro national elite, are Avenida Delfim Moreira, Avenida Ataulfo de Paiva, Rua Rainha Guilhermina, Avenida Bartolomeu Miter and Avenida Afrânio de Mello Franco. At Rua Dias Ferreira, the continuation of the street where the apartment is, is where all the restaurants and bars, from the most traditional to the latest, where it is impossible to spend a night without bumping into some celebrities. Other attractions in the neighborhood are its ice cream parlors, juice houses and its shops - both the street trade (mainly at Avenida Ataulfo de Paiva, parallel to the studio street), and mall (Shopping Leblon and Rio Design Leblon). In addition, a few blocks away, guests have the chance to enjoy coconut water or cold beer on the incredible view of the beach from the Mirador do Leblon, at the foot of Morro Dois Irmãos. Getting AroundThe neighborhood subway station is 1 block away at Antero de Quental Square, and can take you both in the direction of Ipanema, Copacabana, City Center and Maracanã, as well as to the Olympic Park and the beaches of Barra da Tijuca . The neighborhood is also well served by buses everywhere. Uber, always available and fast in this area, is a more luxurious option, but still very cheap and safe to move in Rio de Janeiro (cheaper, safe and comfortable than taxi here, it is worth downloading the app). There are also several bike points around the apartment (you should download the "Rio Bike" app) and the neighborhood is well served by bike lanes as well as its surroundings.
