    The SpaceDouble bed suitable for two. I live in the house so we will share the kitchen, living rooms and bathroom with you. Plenty of space and privacy. Big kitchen. Two living rooms. Please note it is a home, not a serviced apartment or hotel. It is a lived in cosy space. Guest AccessSpacious room with double bed, wardrobe and desk. Two living rooms, TV, dvd, wifi, kitchen (vegetarian food only please) and bathroom with bath and electric shower. Electric shower works by pulling the cord in the bathroom. Sunny back yard (English weather permitting!) for sitting out in. Interaction with GuestsI love meeting new people sharing a coffee and a chat. However I do work full time so I am out a lot. It is just me living in the house so we would he sharing the living rooms,bathroom and kitchen space. I will be around some of the time. I can also be reached quickly via mobile or email. I have lived with different people and totally respect people's need for privacy and space. I have lots of friends near by so always someone to help out and advise on the local areas. I may also have friends and family around for a visit or to stay. However generally the house is quiet. The NeighborhoodI love living in the area I do. Aigburth has the stunning Sefton park five minutes walk from my house. Near by are the restaurants and bohemian bars of Lark Lane. On major bus routes to city centre and John Lennon airport. Close to the train routes into the city centre and links to airports and stations across the UK. St Michael's Station is ten minutes walk from my house. Close to supermarkets and local shops . Fabulous desirable area to live and visit. Close to Otterspool Park and walks along the Mersey. Getting Around Really close to Liverpool city centre. The bus stop is a minute walk away and takes fifteen minutes to the city centre. The train from St Michael's Station takes ten minutes. Close and easy to the airport and Lime Street station and M62 motorways. On street parking on the road. Other Things to NoteFriendly easy going house A home from home. Really easy access to the city centre and main tourist attractions. Easy access to main transport links in and out of Liverpool. Shower is switched on using the cord by the bathroom door. We would need to prearrange arrival times as I work so we would work out a mutually good time. Depending on schedules. Please be aware of this. Departing times can be flexible depending on if other guests are arriving that day or if the room will be free. If the room is free you could possibly stay later that day. We can arrange this to suit both.

The mattress is on the ground. The room is clean as is the bathroom. The living room is exactly as busy as it looks in the picture. Our home is NOT minimalist, Birgit is an Artist with her studio and Art work stored in the flat . The bookshelves are overflowing with books and the apartment full of Art. To book with us PLEASE have some pictures on your profile page and please write a description of yourself on there, too. We are strangers visiting strangers, hosting strangers. Even so we exchange money, we also share a personal space. Please share your story & introduce yourself! Additional option: We can rent you one bicycle during your time We have FREE car parking on our drive way. The KITCHEN: 1) you can use it a little 2) apologies to those who think I'm mad: No meat or poultry. 3) you can use the water filter, toaster, space in the fridge. 4) I eat a lot of brown rice & lentils, there will sometimes be a little portion for you if you are hungry. About SMOKING: sorry, no smoking please. Guests with BABIES: Perhaps a challenge, but possible. We are open minded about midnight baby cries. The BED: The comfortable mattress is on the ground, we don't have a bed base for it, but it is a comfortable mattress and there is normal, clean bedding. We will have fresh bedding for you, and an extra blanket. The ROOM: Your room is quiet and I am regularly making efforts to make it as nice as I can. Clean towels for guests. We have no tv sorry. WIFI: YES THE APARTMENT is nice from the inside: Our apartment is in a house which contains several other apartments. The guest bedroom is small, bright and quiet. The street is green and leafy. The apartment is on the first floor (2nd floor if you are American). The exterior of the house: Sadly on the outside the house looks run down and not very inviting. But YOUR ROOM (& the majority of the apartment including the bathroom) was in recent years completely renovated, including new window frames, freshly plastered walls & a new sustainable bamboo hardwood type flooring. DISTANCES: We are really very close to town. You can walk or take the bus. The bus stop is 5 minutes walk away. When my back-up bicycle is working I may be able to lend it to you. Location: Our place is 5 minutes walk from Lark Lane; a cute street with Cafes, bars and restaurants, 2 parks, the bus stop to the airport and to the city center (journey time respectively 25-35 minutes and 10-15, walking time about 25 minutes to the city). We also live a short walk from St Michael's Train station from where you can catch a direct train to the city center and to Formby beach and Southport, with many other locations if you change trains. the host(s): We will live in the flat when you visit and are able to point you to a few places that you might be interested in. Jason may or may not be here depending on his work-schedule in America. Parking: free and available off the street (we have a drive way). external appearance of the house: it is in need of restoration. But you'll be inside an apartment that has been completely refurbished and renovated 2 years ago. Your room & the bathroom will be clean. The remaining apartment can be a bit eccentric.. nearby entertainment: 1) the many choices of bars, cafes, restaurants and even live music on Lark lane. 2) Sefton Park and Princes Park 3) the public library 5 minutes from the apartment 3) you may read a book from Birgit's bookshelf 4) a community center on lark lane offers pottery classes, yoga classes and massage treatments & you have the option to take a Yoga Class with us, we both teach. REQUESTS: We rarely accept requests without a short letter. Please write a little about yourself when you put in a request for the room. And ideally you are verified through Airbnb's various verifying options. If you are a man then the above are essential. ABOUT THE ROOM & BED first things first: Please understand that we are not providing hotel style accommodation. The price charged is for your clean private room & the bathroom mainly... A dormitory space in a youth hostel may cost around the same as what we are charging. What we make per night on Airbnb is the actual cost of having the room & paying the share of the utilities. We make much more giving private yoga / tai chi classes than hosting through Airbnb. So: Why do we even host?: Our reason for hosting is that we enjoy having occasional guests and we don't always need the room for private students, so it seems like a nice opportunity to welcome a guests for a cost that is as low as we can keep it to help fellow travellers, fellow artists, fellow academics, fellow vegetarians, fellow nice human beings.. (Birgit once was on the path of academia but fell off the narrow edge..). more about the room: The duvets are real feather, which will help keep you warm in case the night is chilly, the duvet covers are either very high cotton or 100% cotton. The cushions vary, some have feathers, some are synthetic filled, all cushions are usually covered in 2 (!) layers of cotton pillow cases. There are extra blankets to use in case you need more layers to be warm The covers are washed with environmentally friendly washing powder. There won't be artificial air fresheners or strong scented deodoriser smells in your room. Usually the air is clean and nice to breathe. {I am writing this as my first and only experience of being a guest through another hosting site included a toilet air freshener, highly deodorised sheets and no window to open! This will NOT happen to you in my place. Your room has 2 windows and comes pre-aired!} Your towel will be freshly washed, with environmentally laundry detergent, I do not use conditioner on laundry as it is not good for you or the planet. I have wifi and will provide you with the password for it. P.S. important: Birgit works from home most of the time so coordinating arrival and departure times is quite easy. You can contact us to check your approximate schedule with us. We got on really well with previous guests. A bed in the youth hostel dormitory would cost you about the same as staying with us, the advantage of staying with us is that you get your own room AND the cost for a couple is relatively low in comparison with the Hostel. + the area is really nice ;and very close and easy to travel by bus to the city center. == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == == We ticked the kids friendly box, however there are a lot fragile art works around the apartment. We ticked yes to kids and have hosted a few; but PLEASE contact us about the suitability before booking. It may be boring here for children .. 3rd PERSON ??: It is possible to arrange makeshift bedding for a third person, our 3rd person solution would be a very thin single futon mattress, so be aware of this not being the most comfortable arrangement. The room is quite small, too for adding a 3rd person, but if you are stretched for budget or absolutely want to come and stay with us then you will probably be ok. Limited because I am vegetarian (no meat please) and I am also working in the kitchen / living room so it really is a studio / office. But a comfortable environment in which I do welcome you to share the space, drink tea and use the wifi. We CAN'T give out our key (it's one of those impossible to get a copy of). And we are generally asking our guests to leave the house when we do. (again: Birgit works from home 12 hours most days so coming and going is usually no problem) Note to Guests: I like you! Even if I am busy and vary in how much time I can give you Interaction with GuestsHow much time I can spend with guests depends on my schedule, I have a couple of Liverpool maps that you may borrow and can help you finding your way around Liverpool. I work from home and it varies how much time I have to socialize but it should always be enough time to make you feel comfortable and welcome. IF you are lucky & read this far: If you a re travelling alone (single guests only), arriving later in the day and IF Birgit is free then she might MAYBE collect you from the train station by car but not from the airport (because there she has to pay to pick you up, airport parking is so expensive you are better of spending the money on a taxi!). The NeighborhoodMy favourite thing about my neighbourhood are the old architecture, the rich green foliage around and that I live within 5 minutes walk of 2 large public parks. Lark Lane has some Cafes that are nice to go and eat lunch or dinner at, which makes things easy for visitors. A choice of grocery shops, a bank, bus stops and a train station are nearby. Getting AroundMy house is 3-5 minutes from the nearest bus stop, from where you can get into the city center (or with a change of busses, you can also reach the airport from here). A local train station is 10 minutes walk away and taxis in Liverpool are priced fairly and a taxi ride to the airport might cost around £12, to the City Center Train Station: approximately £8 It is quite easy to get around in Liverpool.     The SpaceWe are offering two of our four guest rooms on Air BnB. In Elegant House each room has its own style and character. This one is a large ground floor room in our Victorian townhouse. Elegant House is an eclectic mix of minimalism, 1950s furniture and up-cycled cottons, tartans and kilims. Your room is furnished with double bed, Ercol daybed, armchairs and wardrobe. The comfortable daybed is made up if you want to use the room as a twin. Let us know when you book. You will share an adjacent bathroom with one other guest-room. It has a good shower, but no bath. We do not accept more than two guests sharing this room because it does not have its own bathroom. Towels, bedding, bathrobe, slippers, soap and shampoo are provided as well as tea and coffee making kit and a hairdryer. Guest AccessDownstairs you will find the Library where you can watch TV in the evenings, and the kitchen diner opening onto the terraced garden. A continental buffet breakfast is included in the price of the room. When possible food is regionally sourced and home-cooked to traditional and contemporary recipes that reflect the multi-cultural district of Princes Park. The kitchen is open for breakfast. In the evening, by arrangement with John, you may cook or bring in a take away as long as you clean up after yourselves. There is a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board available if you need them. Interaction with GuestsWe have visitors from all over the world- you may meet them at breakfast. The style is quietly sociable. John will provide you with a hand drawn map and local knowledge of places to go and the best way of getting to them. The NeighborhoodWe are part of a fabulous terrace opposite embassy style villas with gardens to Paxton’s Princes Park. This is one of Liverpool's most cosmopolitan districts with lush Victorian developments of parks and villas adjoining traditional terraced streets. From the house you can stroll across Princes Park to Lark Lane's busy restaurants or into Sefton Park and through to the river at Otterspool Promenade. Getting AroundTaxis are cheap and plentiful. Football grounds and the airport take 45 minutes by bus or 40 minutes in a taxi. The Albert Dock and tourist attractions are a 20 minute walk or 10 minute bike-ride. Bikes can be hired at Princes Park Gates and returned all over the city centre. There are frequent buses to the city centre and national rail network. Other Things to NoteOn arrival you will be provided with a front door and room key. Come and go as you please but be considerate of other guests and neighbours. We are in a quiet road with plenty of on-street parking and we have one off road parking space in the garden. You will need to reserve it when you book.

      The SpaceThe flat is designed to a good standard conveniently located for tourists, students and visitors on a budget. It's a very secure place with 24hr security with a big network of restaurants, cafes and bars locally. Lime Street station is a 15 minute walk away, Liverpool Central is 5 minutes away and the bus terminal is at the bottom of the street. An ideal spot to explore both the commercial and bohemian elements of the City. The living room is free to use when not in use but not always ideal when I'm indoors. The flat is much cheaper than it's neighbours so I'm pretty firm about cleanliness and house rules. There's no access to my bedroom or ensuite. I do prefer guests who have some sort of plan while they're here in Liverpool. You will have access to kitchen, your own private bathroom and shower, and WIFI. It's 5 minutes from lots of the best coffee shops and restaurants in town. There is a community feel about the place and is located to lots that guests to Liverpool would find attractive - the cathedrals / Albert Dock and the Cavern for instance. Liverpool and Everton football clubs are 15 minutes away in a taxi. Guest AccessGuests have WIFI access and their own bathroom and shower. They are welcome to use kitchen and washing facilities. Truly, this is a room only flat, there is not an ultimate ban on the living room but the space isn't really designed to sit socially every night :) - all within reason. Interaction with GuestsInteraction varies as I travel quite a lot but always happy to advise guests. The house is very chilled and as surrounding apartments are between £65 and £90 a night, I prefer somebody with solid plans rather than a guest who'll stay in all day. The NeighborhoodThe area is full of life. It's a modern complex with some of the city's best restaurants, coffee shops, museums, cathedrals and tourist attractions. East Village is very cool and close to the bohemian, commercial and Chinatown districts. Getting AroundThe flat is based 5 minutes walk from Central Station, 10 minutes walk from Liverpool Lime Street and 10 minutes walk from the Albert Dock. Also there is a the town's main bus terminal at the bottom of the road. Other Things to NoteI do have a double bedroom available on request under special circumstances, for 2 night stay maximum with no storage provided. This is for an increased rate and for 1 person only.

      I live in a two story apartment with my dog. It has a private front door and garden. The flat has a large living room which leads onto the kitchen and laundry room. The house consists of two bathrooms and two bedrooms. Also a walk in dressing room. The house is 17 minutes walk from the centre or 5 minutes on the bus in a multicultural, multi faith part of the city. This leafy neighbourhood is made up of old Victorian houses and tall elegant buildings.

      My home is 0.2 km away from central Liverpool in the City Center area. Our interests range from sports to fashion design. We have 1 Single and 1 Double available with Desk and Lamp, TV, Mirror, Fridge, Closet / Wardrobe, Radio, and Hair-dryer. We live very close to tourist attractions and main bars and restaurants. You probably wouldn't need to spend money on travel if you're based in the main part of Liverpool. The place is very clean and all brand new furniture. Sophie is 26 and enjoys sports, watching movies, music, gigs, festivals, reading, learning foreign languages, socialising, travel, television, fashion design, and theatre. She speaks English and French

      A beautifully finished one bedroom furnished city apartment. Property is ideally located close to Business district, Universities and Liverpool One shopping district. Apartment comprises: Hallway, lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It benefits from having video intercom and secure door entry systems. The bedroom includes king size bed which will be freshly made before guests arrive. I also have two folding single guest beds. The living room includes two comfy leather sofas and coffee table, large wide screen TV, DVD Player and SKY. Unfortunately, I don't have many DVDs so you'll need to bring your own if you want to watch a movie. The kitchen is fully equipped including toaster, oven, dishwasher and there are plenty of utensils, tableware and cutlery. However, please note that there is no microwave. I'm happy to buy items such as fresh milk, bread, etc ready for your arrival if you just let me know beforehand. There will ALWAYS be plenty of teabags!! A beautiful modern bathroom with large bath and high pressure shower, plenty of fresh towels and toilet paper. A washer dryer for your laundry needs as well as ironing board and steam iron. There is a washing line on the balcony as well a clothes maiden if you prefer to use either of these. The apartment also benefits from a large outdoor balcony from doors leading from the living room. Smoking is acceptable on the balcony. The apartment has Wifi and plenty of hot water. I invite guests to enjoy themselves but be mindful that it is not a hotel it is my home. So, for example, there will be toiletries in the bathroom, a family photograph or two in the living room and food in the cupboards. Close to all transport links. Liverpool Lime Street station is ten minutes walk away. The apartment is on the third floor and there is a lift to all floors in the building, and there are no problems for wheelchair users getting over the threshold of the door as it's a level floor. I have no pets but small domestic pets should be fine, but you'll need to bring your own doggy bed etc as I don't have one.               We are a family run Guest House offering clean, comfy and chic accommodation. We are located just 100 yards from the famous Shankly gates of Liverpool Football Club. We are a great place to stay for football events and as we are only 10 mins away from Liverpool City Centre we are ideal if you are visiting our great city for any other memorable occasions. Our house is a 3 story Victorian house, newly refurbished with a choice of various sized bedrooms. Check out our ensuite fully tiled bathrooms with power shower as standard. We really are a chic boutique style guest house and we guarantee you will be surprised and pleased when you stay with us.
