The SpaceThe room is a comfortable size for two and while personal items will still be kept in the chest of drawers you will have a clothing rail with hangers to keep your clothes on! Please do note that I live with two other really lovely East Londoners Abdul and Jack. We're a great bunch so don't hesitate to ask as for advice, recommendations and just to have a chat as well. Guest AccessYou are most welcome to use all the communal areas such as the kitchen and living room. Cooking utensils are all yours so long as you wash them afterwards. There's also a washing machine if you're looking to do laundry! Interaction with GuestsWe're a friendly bunch so if people are around we're always happy to have a chat and give suggestions on where to go. During the week we all work so will probably not be in the house as often. If you are booking my room the chances are that I have left either for work or am on holiday. As such I rarely have the pleasure to meet guests but when I do, it's always been a great experience.

The SpaceThis is a pleasant room with a double bed, television and lots of books, next to a shared bathroom. (There is a second separate toilet.) It's designed for 2 people, but if needed I can provide a mattrass for a child. The main living room leads out into a secluded backyard with grapes in the autumn. Surprisingly quiet, given it is so close to the City of London; young people do descend to the area for its cool clubs at the weekend. The room is on the first floor of a three-storey Victorian terrace in Shoreditch - termed the 'coolest' area of London, and a great place to live. I've been here for over 12 years and love it. It's diverse and vibrant with a strong history: it's welcomed waves of refugees and incomers - Huguenots, Eastern European Jews and now Bangladeshis. Shakespeare had his first theatre here and some of his company are in the local churchyard. It is a bit grubby (people compare it to parts of New York) but very alive with galleries, artists' studios, clubs, cafes, the famous Sunday Columbia Road flower market round the corner, and the 48 Indian restaurants of nearby Brick Lane. Central London is easily accessible - just 15 minutes by Underground. And day trips out are particularly easy from here - to Cambridge, Brighton, for instance, and stately homes like 16th-century Hatfield House where the young Queen Elizabeth I grew up. There are excellent connections by both bus and Underground as well as being not far from the mainline station at Liverpool Street. Gatwick and Stansted airports are especially accessible. You'd never be at a loss for things to do! Guest AccessI am happy for you to share the kitchen. And the little garden in the fine weather is a treat. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy having guests, and I love hearing about your London experiences. It makes me look at my city with new eyes. But I do realise that being a tourist can be really tiring and there are times you will just want to put your feet up. So it is up to you to call the shots, and I will listen to you. The NeighborhoodShoreditch is a fabulous neighbourhood - full of little galleries, clubs, coffee shops and a wealth of history. It's like a villlage, but at the same time so close to the city centre that you get the possibility of two worlds - the tourist world and the local world. Getting AroundPublic transport could not be better. The place is in walking distance of three different underground stations, close to two mainline stations and a large number of buses. Once you book, I'll send you details of how to get to my place, and can also look up trains for you, if that helps. Other Things to NoteFor people with allergies - don't worry: there are no pets.

The oak dining table expands to accommodate 8, and the low coffee table might double as a serving space for 4, if you like eating whilst sitting lower and nearer the hearth. The home is very clean and quiet, perfect for someone who wants a bit of alone time, or for a couple with dream of a romantic stay in buzzy East London. It's also lovingly furnished and the kitchen has recently been refurbished. Photos included. My flat is two tube stops, or a 25 minute walk, from the 2012 London Olympic Stadium, which was the most amazing athletic event of British history. Buses 8 and 388 will whisk you right into town, and they both stop within minutes of my front door. The D3, to Canary Wharf, is even closer! The best thing about the whole place, other than the fantastic views and peace, obviously, is the location. It's so quiet, overlooking a large, dynamite park and is just a 5 minutes walk from Bethnal Green Tube on the central line. Any Londoner will tell you, the Central Line is the key to the whole city, getting you anywhere in London, fast. Soho 20 minutes Notting Hill 25 minutes Camden 25 minutes Dalston 15 minutes Hackney 5 minutes Bank 10 minutes Borough Market 15 minutes Islington 15 minutes Brick Lane is a brief walk away. You can even walk into Shoreditch, the best place in the whole of London for trendy bars, shopping and restaurants, in 7 minutes. London Fields, with its outdoor 50 metre swimming pool, is a 15 minute walk, and one of the funnest places to be in London during the summer. The quirky Broadway Market offers a great day out every Saturday with it's fine organic foods and vintage clothing stalls. A few truly amazing restaurants really worth checking out right next to the flat are Viajante, Bistrotheque, Braun, Buen Ayre and Corner Room. Victoria Park is simply a 15 minute walk and is spectacular in the summer. Around the park is also a haven of great gastro pubs and restaurants, amazing fresh fishmongers, grocers and butchers. Thanks and enjoy! Guest AccessGuest will have access to the flat. There is a large, lovely park directly across the street, easily accessible from sun up until sun down. Interaction with GuestsI interact very little with guests - when renting the flat, I'm usually away. My neighbour below however is on hand and very helpful, if necessary. The NeighborhoodVery chic and resplendent with lovely bars, restaurants and galleries. My area is easily accessible using any mode of transport. Getting AroundConvenient transport abounds, including the tube, trains, buses and mayor's bikes. Other Things to NoteAll the kitchen appliances are new and the building and surrounding area is, again, very quiet.

The SpaceThis is my home - not a buy-to-let rental. I live in this stunning development in Sclater Street most of the time and, when I'm not here, make it available on AirBnB. So, it's a quality place to stay: from the superb TV and AV system to the gorgeous chocolate leather sofa and chaise longue, classic armchair and dining set, I've invested in luxurious, designer furnishings. It feels cosy but it's smart and clutter-free. In the kitchen, there's an induction hob, oven/grill, microwave oven, a washer dryer, dish washer, fridge freezer and a nifty little wine cooler. There's a stock of tea, coffee, herbal teas - feel free to use them, as well as any condiments, milk, butter and juice that's in the fridge. In the living room, there's a 60" 3D TV with Sky satellite TV (complete with all movie and sports channels), a 5.1 surround sound system and an Apple TV. The main bedroom has a smaller TV with digital channels and an Apple TV. The living room has spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows on 3 sides, but ALL the windows in the apartments have blinds, so privacy and shade is not a problem. This is a two-bedroom apartment for a maximum of 4 guests. The main bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has a 4' Muji small double sofa bed which was bought new and is very comfortable. The main bathroom has both a bath and shower. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating and cool lighting. The whole apartment has comfort cooling: a type of air conditioning that's easier on the lungs than a/c, and both heats or cools the apartment. I'm vegetarian and I do find meat and fish cooking smells linger, so hopefully you won't mind me asking for this to be kept to a minimum if possible. There are dozens of local restaurants on the doorstep including several in the building complex, so you might not want to cook too much meat anyway... Finally, the property is let as accommodation. Strictly, no commercial, filming or photographic use (or similar) without express prior arrangements. Guest AccessThe eighth-storey apartment has 24/7 concierge, a communal first floor residents' lounge with tv and wifi which is great to escape to, a communal roof garden, a courtyard garden and secure bike storage in the basement. There's secure underground parking available, usually available by prior arrangement (I have to re-locate my own car, which requires notice). The space works very well for business travellers: there's a small desk in the second bedroom but but the large dining table has comfortable Charles Eames Organic chairs and an amazing view. The apartment has reliable wifi, a laser printer and Laundry Republic dry cleaning service - which collects and delivers to the concierge. The first floor residents lounge also offers a good space away from the apartment for meetings. Interaction with GuestsI only let my home when i'm away so I let the whole home. When possible, I'll be there to check guests in and out but more usually I'm away, so I have a check-in service. Even if I'm away, I'll do everything I can to be on hand to deal with anything that may arise - and of course happy to advise on the stay in advance. What else do you want to know? :) The NeighborhoodShoreditch is a unique area: world famous markets on the doorstep including Spitalfields, Brick Lane and Columbia Road; it's the creative centre of London and has dozens if not hundreds of restaurants, bars, and great places to explore. If you happen to be a member of the Soho House group, the apartment is opposite their spectacular Shoreditch House 'branch'. The New York Times say "Known for its cutting-edge bars, offbeat galleries and ethnic restaurants, East London is by far the city’s trendiest area (just ask Ralph Fiennes and Keira Knightley, who both live here), crowded with shoppers during the day and clubbers at night. Wear comfortable walking (and dancing) shoes to discover its neighborhoods east of the Tower of London, namely, Shoreditch, Bethnal Green, Hackney Wick and Dalston. You’ll find some of London’s best fashion, craft and design businesses, mostly in renovated historic buildings and warehouses off leafy squares and winding streets. Though the current crop of creative merchants echo the area’s 18th-century history as a center for silk weaving and furniture making, East London’s artists today hail from anywhere but the past." Getting AroundShoreditch High Street Station: 1 min walk. Liverpool Street train and underground station (major station with Central line, District Line, Hammersmith & City Line, Circle Line): 8-10 mins walk. Numerous buses. "Boris Bikes" - push bikes for rent - right outside the building. City Airport is not too far away (20 min cab ride). Taxis galore outside!!! A good area for Uber cabs too. Other Things to NoteI will provide a personal check-in where possible but employ a check-in/out to look after this when we're not here. They can make small additional charges working at unsocial hours, but this will be stated in advance. AirBnB verified ID and positive reviews and/or references are required for bookings. It particularly suits cultured adults, professionals and couples - it's definitely not for party people. Please be prepared to show your passport (or UK driving licence) on check-in. Originals only.

The SpaceIt's rare to find a room in Shoreditch with a great view. Even rarer to find one with a view and a cute balconette. And rarer still to find one with a garden. Our place has it all. We love plants, so the place has a fresh, vibrant feel - and it's right in the middle of the best part of town. Guest AccessYou'll have access to a lovely double room overlooking the City, a toilet (which you'll have to yourself), a shared bathroom (with a tub!), a kitchen and a spacious living room. And a garden! Interaction with GuestsI love to host, but sometimes I'm away. If so, my awesome housemate, Michelle, will be around to welcome you. The NeighborhoodThere's so much round here - coffee shops, galleries, museums, restaurants, markets - it's impossible to pick one stand-out attraction. My personal favourite spots are Allpress coffee shop, Columbia Road flower market, and Spitalfields City Farm. (If you listen carefully, you can sometimes hear the donkey from the bedroom!) Getting AroundWe're in one of the most well-connected spots in the whole of London, with 4 tube lines (Central, District, Circle and Hammersmith & City) and the Overground all within ten minutes' walk.
