Stockwell lies in the borough of Lambeth which is well known for its many parks, iconic Clapham common is a 20 minute walk or a short bus ride away. It's a great place for a stroll any time of the year and there are a couple of nice cafes to enjoy a coffee or brunch. Clapham Common's "The Pavement" is a unique street with boutiques and restaurants and nearby Clapham Picture House is a wonderful cinema to watch the latest flick. It's very easy to get into central London speedily from Stockwell and you can be at the theatre in the west end within 20 minutes. With its high ceilings, original fireplace and immaculate furnishings, this room is both welcoming and comfortable. With a south-facing aspect, the room is flooded with natural light and it's a real treat to sit here on a sunny afternoon, especially with the huge choice of books on offer! Leading on through towards the back (and very quiet part of the property) are the two bedrooms, both of which are decorated in muted tones. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. Also in the property is a second bathroom/shower room; perfect for use by the second bedroom. The kitchen is located at very the back of the property and is a modern extension with lots of light flowing in from the skylights and French doors which open onto the terrace. Refurbished to a particluarly high standard paying exceptional attention to detail to the overall finish and decoration. As the apartment is situated on the 7th floor there are exceptional views of London giving the apartment excellent natural light. Broadband WiFi available. Kitchen: fully equipped with kettle, dishwasher, fridge and freezer and a breakfast counter with two high chairs, sipping your morning tea while looking out from large windows overlooking the roofs of London, St. Paul's cupola and the Gherkin and all the way to the docklands. Really breathtaking. Living Room: With TV. Sofa that turns into a single bed and an armchair that turns into another single bed Bedroom: with large built in wardrobe and a double bed Toilet: with shower and a 5 kg washing and dryer machine IN NOVEMBER 2012 THE BATHROOM AND SHOWER HAVE BEEN COMPLETELLY REFITTED AND ARE BRAND NEW.         The SpaceMy guests regularly tell me how they would love to own my apartment. It just has something so special about it and being in the heart of Covent Garden makes it unique. Small but beautifully formed with all you need for a relaxing stay. The bed is especially great for a good nights sleep. Guest AccessYou have access to a lovely roof space which is private. Interaction with GuestsI live in North London about 30 minutes away so I am not on site but can get into town fast if you need me. I mentioned that I have hosted famous guests but as far as I am concerned all my guests are special and receive the same attention...... The NeighborhoodThis is such an interesting part of the City. You can be in the theatre and home in less than five minutes. The Royal Opera house is just down the road. The National Gallery, Portrait Gallery, British Museum are just a short walk away. Boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants abound and spoil you for choice. You can walk everywhere. The Southbank centre and Festival Hall, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe theatre are all accessible by foot or jump on the water bus! There is so much to see within easy access it's ridiculous! If you download the app 'Pearlshare' I will share my recommendations with you for all that you need in the area...... Getting AroundFantastic public transport! But also so much to access on foot. As I said you can jump on the river transport for a river trip!

The area The location is hard to beat as it is really easy to get to all the main sights and attractions. For example, the shopping opportunities of Oxford Street and Covent Garden, the shows of West End theatres and the excitement and glamour of Soho are all within walking distance. If it’s culture you’re looking for, then both The British Museum and British Library are very close by. Restaurants of all types, offering a wide range of cuisines are many and varied in this area. If you’re looking for supplies to make your own meals or snacks, there are branches of several major supermarkets very close by as well as a range of smaller, local enterprises selling more unusual and specialist items. We are also close to several of the lovely London squares including Russell Square and Tavistock Square. Our particular favourite is our local one, Queen Square, which is one of London’s hidden gems and has a great pub at the side. The world famous Great Ormond Street hospital is located here. Getting around The area is really well served for transport links: •The nearest tube station is Holborn which is just 5 minutes walk away. •Convenient bus stops in the area provide access to the many different bus routes. •The main line stations of St Pancras and Kings Cross are only 15 minutes walk away. •The nearest rack of “Boris” bikes can be found in the nearby Red Lion Square The apartment Lounge with a sofa bed that can accommodate up to two additional guests. There is also a TV with digital box provided. Free wifi is available. Spacious bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and storage drawers. Bed linen and towels are provided. Kitchen equipped with everything you need to make snacks or proper meals including a cooker, fridge, microwave and toaster as well as all the expected pots, utensils and crockery. There is also a washer/dryer. Brand new luxury bathroom with bath and shower. Please note The flat was built about ten years ago on top of an older block so it is light, bright and modern. However, it is on the fifth floor and the one downside is that there is no lift.

        The SpaceThere are 3 spacious bedrooms on the ground floor, all are clean and minimal in decor with wooden floors and crisp white walls and sheets. Framed prints and wall art add splashes of red to the monochromatic palette. Stylish bedside tables offer space to rest belongings and to plug in any electricals. Large windows let in plenty of light and are fitted with beige roman blinds to ensure you get a good night’s sleep and privacy. There is plenty of wardrobe space to go around - with double wardrobes in two of the bedrooms and a hanging coat rail in the other. Additional storage can be found in the pull out drawers under every bed. The fourth bedroom is on the mezzanine level, up the staircase in the living area. It is a cosy, quiet sanctuary where you will find a double bed under the sloping ceilings. There is a chest of drawers behind the bed where you can store some of your belongings, or rest drinks on top of. The grey textured bean bag in the corner by the top of the stairs makes a sweet spot for some reading. The main bathroom is sleek and modern with dark charcoal tiles, a dark wooden cabinet with modern basin and tap fixtures, a large mirror, complete with a large walk-in shower with a recessed niche to store all of your shower products. The frosted window lets plenty of light in whilst retaining privacy. Adjacent to the main bathroom, you will find a smaller bathroom also with a modern shower, toilet and sink. Opposite, is the third lavatory with toilet and sink. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area is well set up for socializing as there is plenty of room for everyone. The white rectangular dining table has 6 trendy ghost chairs seated around the sides and 2 white eiffel chairs at both ends. Curl up around the flat screen TV on your choice of the 3-seater black leather sofa, the large reclining cream lounge chair, or two cream stools. The kitchen is modern with wooden countertops, chrome fixtures, and white handleless cabinets giving a clean, contemporary linear look. Here you’ll find all the basic utensils, pots, pans, and crockery to prepare a nice home-cooked meal. Appliances include a Russel Hobbs kettle, Delonghi coffee maker, John Lewis toaster, Lamona oven and microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and Indesit washing machine. Bedford Court Mansions along with the rest of Bedford Avenue was constructed in the 1890s to replace the mews to the South Side of Bedford Square.           The SpaceMy home has a mix of rare paintings, photographs and furniture - the rooms are spacious with high ceilings, The bathroom has a hand shower and a real iron bath! The kitchen is small but serviceable and I cook in it most of the time. Sunlight floods in through the the front room in the mornings. In my bedroom the large oil painting is by my grandfather Detmar Blow. He was famous as an architect. It shows the East End of King's College Chapel in Cambridge with his design for the reredos, altar, and panelling. There are spacious clothes cupboards and a high definition television plus a blu-ray for dvds. Other paintings are by my great-uncle Stephen Tennant and the artist Michael Wishart - also Cecil Beaton. While signed Cecil Beaton photographs of my famously beautiful grandmother are in the hall and front room. The apartment is very peaceful while being in the heart of Covent Garden. The place is buzzing with restaurants, shops, and theatres. The Royal Opera house is five minutes walk away. The tube stops are either Holborn or Covent Garden - both a few minutes walk. There are many bus stops to most locations. The way it is furnished makes it unique. And it feels as much like an apartment in Paris as one in London.I am always very happy here.

The apartment is within easy walking distance to the University of London, The University of Westminster, the British Museum and the British Library, the squares and the gardens of Bloomsbury area, and the three main line stations of Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancras. The nearest underground stations are Russell Square and Kings Cross. For shopping, Oxford Street and Regents Street are within walking distance as are many West End theatres. There is also a good bus service to the West End. The number 73 from Euston Road and the number 7 from Russell Square are within easy access. The Picadilly line connects Russell Square with Heathrow Airport and the Thameslink line next to Kings Cross station connects with Gatwick Airport. There is a nearby supermarket in the Brunswick Centre near Russell Square and the area is served by many small interesting shops and restaurants. This deposit is encashed and held for the period during which the apartment is occupied and is returnable following departure. 3 PROPERTY DESCRIPTIONS: Are made in good faith but do not form part of this nor any agreement and Apartment Services accepts no responsibility should the property prove unsuitable for fails to conform to expectations, occasionally facilities are altered. 4 PROPERTY AVAILABILITY: In the unlikely event that property becomes unavailable Apartment Services will make reasonable endeavour to offer alternative accommodation but if this is not possible applicants will be entitled to reimbursement of monies paid but to no other payment nor indemnity. 5 CANCELLATION: Deposit is forfeit if apartment booking is cancelled more than six weeks before arrival. If cancellation is less than six weeks before arrival then full rental amount is due to owner. Rental money less 12.5% will be returned if apartment is rebooked, in full or part. Clients are strongly recommended to ensure that they have suitable travel insurance arranged at the time of booking. 6 NUMBERS OF GUESTS: Must not exceed those stated on the reservation form, or will be immediately asked to leave. 7 ACCESS: Guests are to permit the owner or the owner`s agents, housekeeper or workmen, at reasonable hours, (by prior arrangement if possible, to enter upon and view the apartment and carry out services and works. 8 LIABILITIES: Apartment Services accepts no liability for itself and for the owner for any loss, damage or injury to the applicant, his party or guests or possessions. 9 OCCUPATION: The applicants license to occupy reserved premises with contents per inventory is subject to the accommodation being used for holiday purposes only with no security of tenure. 10 RENTAL: Guests are advised to notify Apartment Services of any discrepancy between the conditions of the apartment and contents as found and described in the inventory. In the event of malfunction of electrical apparatus and supply of services the guest should notify Apartment Services and the owner who will take action as soon as appropriate. In the event of a callout and no fault found the guest will pay the callout fee, usually between £35 to £50 per visit. The apartment should be kept and left in the condition recorded in the inventory and should be kept tidy with cooking and dining items put away to facilitate cleaning. I live in my flat for most of the time. I like a calm uncluttered look. Although very central, the flat feels like being in the country- with views from its windows onto trees or the garden. This recently decorated (mainly white) flat is on the second (top) floor of a historic, small (15 flats) listed building. It has a contemporary, Bohemian feel to it. I am a poet and art collector and the flat is filled with original art works. It offers comfortable accommodation for a maximum of two people. Outside is a secluded, beautifully landscaped garden with sun terrace. Perfect for Alfresco dining. My flat has one bedroom and one double bed. It is suitable for singles, couples or 2 people who don't mind sharing. Sorry, my flat is not suitable for young children or babies.             The SpaceClean, well-equipped flat with 5-star ratings, by Covent Garden tube & Soho. Superb super-central yet quiet location. Fast, reliable and unlimited WiFi. The apartment building itself is ugly with shabby, zero-style décor in the communal hallways. It's okay but it's *not* a 'luxury block', - no carpets or chandeliers! Just an ordinary sort of block... But, it's safe and cosy, and it's definitely authentic - staying here, you'll feel like a Londoner, not like a tourist (which personally is one thing I really *love* about Airbnb when I'm staying as a guest!) The NeighborhoodThe apartment is surrounded by Covent Garden's many theatres, boutiques and Michelin starred restaurants. Coffee shops and cafes are round every corner and Leicester Square is 10 minutes walk away where theatres, restaurants and bars stay open late throughout the week. Trafalgar Square is equally close, and a 15-20 minute walk will get you to Big Ben and Piccadilly Circus. Being situated closer to Holborn, the area is quieter, meaning you can have a more relaxed stay, but also be a 5 minute walk from the heart of the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden, Holborn, Oxford Street etc. Getting AroundThe apartment is 3-4 minutes walk from Holborn underground station (Central Line) and Covent Garden (Piccadilly line).
