The SpaceUber stylish, designer apartment in Covent Garden on London’s historic Strand; moments from The Savoy Hotel, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden Piazza. The apartment offers a fabulous base from which to explore the famous West End, either on foot (or a local hire bike) without the need for expensive taxis. We are five minutes from the river Thames, with its paths that lead to the Tower of London in one direction, and Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in the other. The National Theatre, on London’s famous Southbank, is a short, pleasant stroll over Waterloo Bridge, a little further along you’ll find the London Eye. Next door is King's College – with its close proximity to the LSE, City of London, and the Inns of court, the apartment is also an idea base for a business trip and of course we are LGBT friendly. The Apartment itself is open-plan, loft style with a light and spacious living room that leads onto an exclusive garden patio – great for relaxing with a glass of wine! The interior comprises two bedrooms: one with king size bed, and a second with a double bed. The lounge has a very large and comfortable sofa that can easily serve as an extra bed. We have a brand new modern bathroom with a super size tub. You’ll find the Italian designer kitchen (Dada) easy to use, and fully equipped. The apartment is centrally heated throughout, and also double glazed – it’s so quiet you’ll find it hard to believe you are in the centre of London. High speed Wifi is at your immediate disposal – HD plasma screen TV with Apple TV, that covers most American and European news networks; sky sports, movies and Netflicks are available if you want. The apartment is truly a special place to be, the entire area is steeped in history, yet buzzing with London life too; whether it’s a visit to the Royal Opera House or the English National Opera, a stroll down the Strand to catch a play or a west end show. The shopping goes on for ever (quite literally until you drop) either around Covent Garden, or else Bond Street, and Oxford Street are a walk or a short bus ride away. Buckingham Palace itself is another nice walk, just stroll along the Embankment and through Saint James’s Park - a little further on is Westminster Abbey. Transport links are excellent, with five tube stops and three mainline stations in easy reach – buses run twenty-four hours and to everywhere! Travelling from Heathrow takes forty-five minutes on the Piccadilly line direct to Covent Garden Station. Gatwick runs a fast shuttle service to/from Victoria – then a four stop ride on the underground to Temple.

Going live Once, it was the Gaiety Theatre. Then, the headquarters of Marconi, pioneers of the radio. And then, it was the first ever studio for the BBC. Such is this home’s great heritage, but the story doesn’t end there... This gleamingly new apartment has a clean aesthetic, with just a few choice pops of colour to enliven the pale contemporary décor. You’re in the centre of zone one, right next to the river, with theatreland so close that you can be back at home before the second curtain call. Eat out, shop on, and party as hard as you dare. If you decide to stay in, you’ve all the facilities of the neighbouring hotel at your disposal. And be sure to stand upon Waterloo Bridge as the sun sinks low, to take in one of the most iconic views in the world. On the air As befits a building from which so much of the world’s technology first sprang, this home is kitted out with gadgetry right on the cutting edge. Think zonal lighting, an in-shower TV, and a surround sound system that’ll leave you giddy. The open plan living space is gorgeously minimalist, and every line counts, from the gleaming white kitchen to the designer couch. Fresh thinking Sometimes you have to shun the hustle and bustle to feel quite relaxed. And sometimes not. In the heart of Holborn, with Oxford Street one way and Covent Garden the other, Macklin Street is invigoratingly quiet. The walls are white, the artwork assured and, on seeing the patio’s wicker chairs and wandering flowers, you’ll be soothed in spirit and then some. For style, try the antique dining table and fine original floorboards, for serenity, turn to the gigantic corner sofa and skylight. And, for London itself, if there’s a better location than this we should be happy to hear it... Easy does it Your host works within a moment or two of Macklin Street, in the City. He takes a keen interest in art, and having filled the walls, is now lining the bookshelves with all things creative. Light heart No matter how close are Holborn and Covent Garden, to turn into this narrow lane is to leave the bustle behind. And on closing your front door, it’ll vanish without a trace. High and mighty It's hardly surprising that London's upper echelons adore South Kensington. Lawns sweep, houses stand elegant and tall, and the shop windows hold silk, cashmere, oysters and pearls. And it is in this blessed part of town, 'tween two grand pillars and up a winding stair, that you'll find Emperor's Gate. You're at the very foot of heaven, with views out onto chimneys, leaves and sky. When you've finished surveying your domain, turn to discover a chic contemporary apartment, where white walls and sheets of glass and gloss allow light to flow uninterrupted across designer furniture and striking art. With the museums around the corner, and a tube station closer still, this is a home truly deserving of its majestic title. Prince among men Your host is a sociable type. He works in finance and, as you'll see, collects modern art. Sporty, energetic and charming, he's a regular fixture on South Kensington's social scene. The SpaceThis true one bedroom beauty is perfectly proportioned in the heart of Covent Garden. If you are viewing this property, it's location simply cannot be rivalled. There are very few residential buildings in the area and I am lucky to call it home! The apartment has its own bedroom and separate kitchen; allowing the stand alone living room to become a second bedroom should you need it, complete with fold out bed. Washroom: You shall find a completely updated washroom where you can take a shower, read a magazine, or just look at yourself in the mirror. (I tend to do the latter for long periods of time) What? It's a great mirror. The bathroom will always come stocked with plenty of white fluffy towels and all the essential toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel and hand soap that you need to ensure that you have a comfortable stay in London. Hallway: Plenty of room for storage! Floor to ceiling sliding doors open to ample storage for your suitcases, as well as overhead cupboards. Here you will also find a phone entry system. Security is of the upmost importance. Feel safe knowing you are staying in a gated building. Kitchen: This wonderful, updated integrated kitchen comes complete with dishwasher, washer/dryer, full length fridge freezer, and of course cooking facilities such as oven, grill, hobs. Now that you're in London, treat yourself to some stocked up tea and coffee as you overlook the courtyard. Go on... it's on me :) Living room: Beautiful wooden floors throughout the entire property. The living room really is the hub of this home. Look out of your window and see the top of the wonderful Library and Museum of Freemasonry. Living on the fourth floor sure does have its perks! Within the living room you will also find a fold out sofa bed that easily sleeps two, dining table and chairs, TV, internet and once again, more storage. Bedroom: After a long day of sight seeing, come home from the theatre, put your feet up and catch those zzzzz's. The bedroom is very cozy, inviting and the perfect space to sleep two. Once again, floor to ceiling sliding doors open up to wonderful storage to place all your fancy "london vacation" clothes. Guest AccessThe entire home is yours :) Cleaned professionally with fresh luxury linens, it's prepared for each new visitor. The home is on the 4th floor of this historic red brick building. I like to call it my penthouse pied-a-terre. I know, I'm fancy. You're now staying in London, one of the oldest Cities in the World. Given its nature, the building has stuck to its roots; like most historic buildings in Central London, there is not an elevator. Other Things to NoteThe home is on the 4th floor of this historic red brick building. I like to call it my penthouse pied-a-terre. I know, I'm fancy. Your're now staying in London, one of the oldest Cities in the World. Given its nature, the building has stuck to its roots; like most historic buildings in Central London, there is not an elevator.
