A couple of minutes' walk away there are loads of buses to the West End and elsewhere in London. You can rent a street bike on nearby Broadway Market and drop it off anywhere in Central London. You can cycle along Regents Canal all the way to Camden Market or Regents Park without encountering a single car. In the other direction it takes you through the fabulous Victoria Park to the Olympic Park and on to Canary Wharf. A dedicated cycle path runs past our flat to the canal and beyond, making it great fun to cycle in the neighbourhood. A good place to get information on the best ways to get around London is the Citymapper app, or you could try the Transport for London Journey Planner website. Our postcode is E8 3PF. Other Things to NoteYou are guests in our main and only residence - our lived-in home. We sometimes work away at short notice, so we may not be around during your stay. However, you can contact us any time. We also have a lot of friends living nearby who are willing to help out in urgent situations, including our cleaner. If we are away we may have guests staying in the other bedrooms. These may be our friends or other Airbnb guests. All of the bedrooms can be locked for your peace of mind, and if we are away you would have your own private bathroom, as would all other guests. The flat might not be suitable for those with physical restrictions (eg the elderly or people with disabilities). There is a lift in the block, but to reach all the rooms in our flat necessarily involves ascending 21 stairs in total (including the flat's internal staircase), as well as descending another 8 stairs, and walking about 50m inside the block. We don't have any pets, but we do occasionally have a friend staying with an extremely gentle dog, Lulu, who does not moult. This may be at very short notice. This is a very green household with clean energy from solar panels when the sun shines. The flat is oriented to the south to take maximum advantage of the sun for passive heating - if there's any sun, we get it! We have a comprehensive recycling system for everything from paper to batteries and cooking oil. We hope you can join us in this.

The SpaceI have a lovely two bed flat for one guest (I will also be living there till 18 April then will be renting my room too) in an Art Deco 1920s building in trendy Hackney, north-east inner London (zone 2). The closest station is Hackney Central (overground), which is less than 10 minutes' walk away from the flat. Hackney Central is 6 minutes via overground from Highbury & Islington station which is just one stop from Kings Cross. Look the post code up (E9 6DW), you'll see how central it is and how close by other great areas are such as Islington, Dalston, Stoke Newington and Bethnal Green. There is an award winning rooftop communal garden which makes the city seem far away, the feeling enhanced by the building's Miami-inspired colours. I have furnished the flat with an assortment of vintage finds including a lovely leather chesterfield and Ercol chairs, with all mod-cons such as 32 inch smart TV, DVD player... One bedroom and the open plan kitchen dining room sitting room space have floor to ceiling double glazed sash windows and vintage exposed glazed tiling and are bright with lots of character. The main bedroom also has lovely bright windows. And while the building is in a central, bustling area, you enter the locked gates and feel you could be anywhere, it is so peaceful. I love that the building is so unique and beautiful. Guest AccessGuests have the flat to themselves pretty much as I am not around much (and won't be there after 18 April): open plan living room, kitchen and dining room and bathroom bathroom and communal garden. They can park their car in the gated car-park, where bikes can also be locked up. I'll provide you with: - a set of keys - towels - bedding including pillows, duvet and extra blankets if you need them - wi-fi broadband - use of kitchen including fridge - use of washing machine - use of an iron and ironing board Interaction with GuestsI will check guests in and can help with anything they need. The NeighborhoodIf you've chosen to stay in Hackney, you'll probably know what a cool, vibrant area it is. There are so many bars, restaurants, markets and cafes, you'll never get bored. Plus there is a great cinema round the corner and London's only heated 50m lido is very close by in the lovely London Fields park. Getting AroundHackney Central and Hackney Downs overground stations are nearby and there are loads of buses. Sadly no tubes - Hackney is a cycling mecca! Other Things to NotePlease note there are quite a few steps up to the property and no lift so it is unsuitable for those with wheelchairs.

The SpaceYou have the whole house to yourself. Upstairs, downstairs, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, front garden, back yard, bathroom, the whole kingdom... only catch is that it's small but that's why we love it. This is our home so it's full of all the little necessities we need to get by in life plus a lot that we don't. You'll have the place to yourself so you can make use of all the rooms. We will provide sheets and towels plus you're welcome to use the kitchen utensils and browse the books. Guest AccessThis is our home so it's full of all the little necessities we need to get by in life plus a lot that we don't. You'll have the place to yourself when we're away so you can make use of all the rooms. We will provide sheets and towels plus you're welcome to use the kitchen utensils and browse the books. Interaction with GuestsDepends if we're going away or staying near. In either case there will be someone to let you in and show you around. The NeighborhoodWe like all the green spaces nearby: Hackney Downs, London Fields, Victoria Park, the somewhat large and empty Olympic Park and the Lea Valley where you can spend all afternoon strolling along the canal. If you're in to markets then there are a few in walking distance such as Chatsworth Road, Broadway Market, Ridley Road and Columbia Road. If you like coffee you're spoilt for choice and there's a fine selection of pubs including one or two that brew their own beer. And please bring your swimwear as you should definitely go for a dip in the outdoor [and heated] Lido. It's nice in the rain too but there's a cinema down the road if you prefer. Getting AroundIt's a 3 minute walk to Hackney Central and Hackney Downs Overground Stations which can take you in all directions and connects with the rest of the London Underground. Plenty of buses in all directions including towards Dalston/Angel or Shoreditch/City and on to the West End. Please ask and we'll explain in greater detail how to get to us from any airport, station or port. Other Things to NotePlease be aware the staircase does not have a balustrade so may not be suitable for small kids. Ask if in doubt.

The SpaceThe master bedroom has a super king bed which is, in the opinion of everyone who has slept in it, the most comfortable bed ever. It's huge, so easily shared by two people who would rather have their own beds and there is a spare duvet to make that even easier. It has two large south facing windows so gets a lot of light but there are black out curtains so you can sleep in as long as you like. There is also a wardrobe and chest of drawers and a lot of storage space under the bed. The main bathroom is just across the hall from the master bedroom and has a bath with a shower, toilet and sink. It is also where the washing machine is and where the linen and towels are kept. The second bedroom has a king sized bed and has an en suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. It has a clothes rail with large drawers underneath, a chest of drawers and a bureau with a desk chair. The third bedroom has a king sized bed and a cupboard. The open plan kitchen, dining and living room has huge windows on both sides and is large enough that someone cooking in the kitchen won't bother someone watching TV. The kitchen has all the usual stuff like an oven, a four ring gas hob, microwave and an integrated dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is also a hand blender for your use as well as various pans and bakeware. There is a breakfast bar with three barstools which is also useful as an additional surface for preparing food. In addition to the breakfast bar there is a large dining table and chairs that are usually stored away at the side of the room with both leaves down. It's easily put up and moved (but please don't drag it as it may scratch the floor). The living room section has a large L shaped three seater sofa and a low rocking chair. It's also got a 47inch TV with a DVD player and XBox 360 (there are also DVDs and games for these). There is also a black and white printer you can use. Out the front is a no thru road so having the windows open means actual fresh air and no traffic noise and fumes. If you stay longer than 10 days our cleaner Natalie will come in for a couple of hours once a week to change your sheets and towels and do a light clean of the flat. There is a basic manual for how to use things in the flat (like the wifi password and how to use the dishwasher etc) and a couple of suggestions for the area etc., but I will be contactable by the mail service on here so if you have any further or specific questions you can drop me a line and I will always reply within 24 hours but usually much quicker than that. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole flat. All the drawers and cupboards will be empty apart from a few cupboards (in the third bedroom and the kitchen) that will be locked and there may be some storage boxes under some of the beds. There will still be plenty of storage. Interaction with GuestsVery little to none! I will meet you to do the key hand over but if I won't be there either my cleaner or my upstairs neighbor will do that. I will always be contactable and should get back to you swiftly. Usually within a few hours but occasionally longer if I am in a different time zone. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is great! There is loads going on within walking distance. There is Victoria Park about a 7 minute walk away which is enormous with a boating lake and lovely cafe, it's really lovely and even on the hottest days you can always find a spacious patch as it's so big. Victoria Park Village is just by Victoria Park (weird that!) and has loads of really good restaurants, pub, cute stores as well a grocery, a fishmonger and an amazing butcher. a few minutes walk in the other direction is Broadway Market and London Fields. If it's a sunny day it's definitely better to head to Viccy Park as London Fields gets absolutely packed. The Lido in London Fields is also very busy on a hot day but is open all year and is heated as well as pretty cheap if swimming's your thing. Broadway Market has good coffee shops, pubs, cafes and whole food stores as well as some other design and book stores. On Saturdays the actual market happens and it's brilliant. Loads of amazing food stands and stalls selling local designer jewellery etc. Getting AroundThe flat is about a 10-15 minutes walk or a 5 minute bus to Bethnal Green Tube Station and the Central Line which will get you into the central London in about 20-25 minutes. There are busses from the end of our road (about 2 mins walk) that will take you into the centre of London, Waterloo and London Bridge. London Fields Overground is about a 5 minute walk and from there it's a 10 minute journey to Liverpool Street and Hackney Central Overground is about a 10 minute walk or 5 minutes on the bus and will take you west to Dalston, Highbury and Islington, Camden and Hampstead (and beyond) and east to Stratford and the giant Westfield Mall. There is also a docking station for bikes to rent for cheap about 2 minutes walk away. Very easy to use and there are docking stations all over the city (a LOT of them) so you can just grab a bike and ride wherever and then park it at a different docking station. Other Things to NoteI require your Airbnb profile to have verified offline ID and at least two other verifications before you book. If you haven't go that yet don't worry, it's a really quick and straightforward process. I would love to have you come stay at my beautiful apartment. I hope you enjoy my flat as much as I do.

Full use of TV and WI-FI. Washer dryer. Brand new high quality mattress. All the kitchen utensils and gadgets you might require. Other Things to NoteI would like to inform guests that the layout of the apartment has slightly changed from the photos. (I have not had an opportunity to get more professionally taken yet). It still has the same feel but some guests have mentioned it because the images are not identical. However I can assure you that it is much better and provides a much larger living space. Instead of an ikea bed I now have a built in sleeping area which sits neatly in the corner, behind the door. It is much more accessible for 2 people, and extremely cosy! Also has brand new high quality mattress.

The SpaceHello! We're renting out our flat and it's perfect for anyone looking for a slice of East London living. - The master bedroom is east facing, so it gets lots of sun in the morning and afternoons - The second bedroom but cosy and has a double bed, huge bay window and high ceilings - The living room is a great space to hang out in. There's a chesterfield sofa, large LCD TV with Freeview channels and a dining room and chairs to enjoy some nice meals. It's a really airy space with big windows and high ceilings and if it does get cold, there's a gas fireplace too. There's also lots of books and DVDs to peruse and our neon disco horse to keep you company - The kitchen is compact, but has all the basics for homely living; an oven, grill, fridge and freezer as well as all the usual pots/pans/cookery books - The bathroom has a power shower and bathtub - The flat has great wifi access The flat is in a great part of East London, right in the middle of Dalston and Hackney and all they offer. I've lived in the area for quite a few years now, so will be able to recommend restaurants/bars/clubs/places to visit, but here's an overview: - The flat is 5 minutes walk from London Fields which is lovely to hang out in during the summer or go for crisp, wintery walks - Broadway Market is only 10 mins walk away, so during the week it's a cool place to stop off for a drink or meal in one of the bars/restaurants and on Saturdays it hosts a food market with delicious food and drinks and it's a real hotspot for locals to hang out - Dalston is 10 minutes away and as well as being called the coolest borough in London (by Vogue/Guardian or something) there's so many nice places to dance/drink/eat - I can recommend the best places, especially restaurants and bars as I run a Hackney-based food and dining website called Chomping Ground I think that's about it. Feel free to ask if there's any questions. Guest AccessLiving room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. We want you to feel at home! Interaction with GuestsI'm freelance, so some days I work in the office, some days I work from home in the flat. I'm out quite often in evenings, so happy to give you a bit of space if you'd rather that. The NeighborhoodHackney is the BEST! I've lived in this flat for almost six years now, and have lived in Hackney for almost nine years now and I love the area. There's so much going on, from restaurants and foodie happenings, to great bars and pubs and even the odd decent underground club too. The people are friendly, not all the cynical, serio hipsters we're made out to be! Getting Around- There's great bus, rail and tube links nearby, Dalston Junction tube is 10 mins walk away (taking you into Central London in around 20 mins) and there's numerous buses on the Kingsland Road/Mare St (both 6-7 mins walk) to take you all over London Other Things to NotePlease note - we need at least a week's notice on the date you would like to start your stay

There is a spacious living area with full length windows, comfy sofa, Sky TV and a well equipped Kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher that you can use. We have Wifi throughout the apartment. Uniquely, we also have a second smaller sitting room, with a sofa and some bookshelves - this provides loads of flexibility, allowing extra space for you to store luggage, have a quiet spot to read or just relax and browse the internet. If you are visiting London on business, you will find Shoreditch, the City of London and Canary Wharf are all within easy striking distance. In fact, the location is a real treat - it's our favourite area of London! We are just minutes from excellent cafes, markets, green spaces, neighbourhood restaurants, an excellent bakery, local brewery and lots of quality local pubs. The famous Hackney Empire theater, the Picture House Cinema and the Hackney Museum are just a 2 minute walk from the front door. We are located between London Fields train station (3 minute walk), Hackney Central Overground (5 minute walk), and Hackney Town Hall bus stops (2 minute walk). Trains from London Fields will get you into the City in just 10 minutes. We are a short walk across London Fields from buzzing Broadway Market, which has a great array of food stalls, antiques, jumble, music, cafes and so on. Beyond Broadway Market is the pretty area of Columbia Road - famous for it's flower market, and a wonderful collection of antique and furniture shops, this is a great place to explore. Continuing on from Columbia road, you soon find yourself at Brick Lane in the heart of Shoreditch, famous for international cuisine, extensive Sunday markets and a hot spot for street art and hipster bars and cafes. Further afield, the Overground line from Hackney Central offers direct trains to Islington, Camden Markets, Hampstead Heath and Kew Gardens, also Stratford for the Olympic Park and Westfield shopping center. *** Please note, our location is on a quiet cycle path. There is no road to the property, and no parking available for tenants. We would generally advise against bringing a car into central London, especially as we are very well located for public transport. We are a young couple who have been living in London for the past 3 years. The living room and dining table is a naturally sociable and welcoming environment, and we like that guests can feel at home here. We both work in tourism, and we have used AirBnB as guests, so we have a good understanding of our guest's needs. We have plenty of maps and guidebooks of the local area that we can loan you during your stay. We also have an extensive list of favourite eateries and coffee places all over London, and we really enjoy sharing our knowledge and passion for this wonderful city. The apartment offers a great location, plenty of space, friendly and welcoming hosts and freedom to enjoy your time in London to its fullest.
