The table can seat up to 8 people and the original fireplace with marble surround is a fantastic feature. In addition to this you have a luxurious chaise longue and three aspect windows with a spectacular view of the River Thames at the back of the garden. The kitchen is very modern and stylish with dark purple cabinets and various mod cons to make dining in as easy and pleasurable as possible! Throughout the house the walls hold various pieces of art which really enhance the look and feel of each room. The living room is up on the first floor and has the most comfortable and soft carpet you’re likely to ever experience! The sofas are large and contemporary, juxtaposed with the various pieces of antique furniture and original features. The triple aspect windows look out over to the Thames and the garden below and are framed by ultra luxurious velvet drapes. The living room has an additional room adjoining for a bit of extra space. This is a calm, quiet area, perfect for simply reading or relaxing. The SpaceDouble room by Thames, SW London A lovely and spacious family house by the River Thames in Fulham, with a double room to rent and when available, two additional bedrooms for children or additional guests. You will have your own bathroom (one is en suite and the other is shared), TV, wifi and fantastic bus routes to central London from the end of the road. Most of my bookings tend to come through this listing so if there is no availability showing, it is still worth messaging me to see if one of the other rooms is free. Alternatively, (EMAIL HIDDEN).uk/rooms/705526 and airbnb.co.uk/rooms/705523 too. Hammersmith and Putney Bridge tube stations are about a 20 minute walk away along the river and I am close to the river bus too if you prefer the scenic route to the City. I'm close to Heathrow Airport (20 minute drive or direct Tube line from Hammersmith). Lovely, leafy river walks one minute away and 20 minutes on the bus to the shopping district of Knightsbridge and the museums of South Kensington. Unusually large garden too, so lots of green space for you to relax, quite rare for London! This area of Fulham is quite residential, but roads are quiet and parking is readily available ( £2. 20 per hour on the meter between 9 and 5 should you have a car ) . Please note, there are times of the year, when demand is high, that my longer term discounts will not apply. Guest AccessAs this is my family home, guests tend not to use the communal areas of the house besides the kitchen and we just ensure we don't clash! Interaction with GuestsHappy to help with your plans over the duration of your stay The NeighborhoodIt is unique in so much as it is so close to the centre of London, but has a real feel of peace, quiet and country side. It is close to the river, where I regularly do a 7K run around the 2 bridges loop (takes about an hour to walk this), and Bishops Park is 5 mins away which has a lovely Farmers Market every Sunday morning. There is a great local pub, The Crabtree, on the river 5 mins walk away and a great little corner shop for all your basic shopping requirements. The famous River Cafe Restaurant is about a 10 minute walk away along the river and I can recommend many others. Jump on a bus at the top of the road and you can arrive at the great museums of South Kensington within 20 minutes and Piccadilly Circus is 15 minutes on the tube once you get to Hammersmith. Getting AroundThere are very good bus routes to all areas of London from the top of my street, and 5 mins on the bus to the tube stations of Hammersmith and Putney Bridge. To walk to the local tube stations however would take you around 15-20 minutes so do be aware I am not super close to the underground. Other Things to NoteI have 2 cats!

I cannot allow any gatherings in the house or rooms and also no alcohol in the rooms. IMPORTANT: Sound travels well in these old Victorian townhouses and other guests and neighbours do hear everything, so after 9.30pm please keep noise and talking in the rooms to a minimum. Please be respectful of the house and neighbourhood, it would be a shame if I get complaints and I needed to let Airbnb know about any incidents that occur. Thank you very much, I am very much looking forward to hosting you!

The SpaceAlong this pretty stretch of the Thames, there are only a handful of houses that are literally on the river. Views are breathtaking irrespective of the English weather. And there are two terraces to chose from! The interior of the house is quite minimalist but in great taste as it mixes the largely modern with some old. The neighbourhood is wonderful. Walks along the river with hardly a car around. A number of great riverside pubs - including The Dove (my favourite in West London) - are all within a few hundred yards. And Hammersmith with its excellent transport (in to Central London and to Heathrow) and good shopping and restaurants is a few minutes walk away. This is the first of my homes that I honestly say I love. Come and experience it yourself! Guest AccessGuests have access to nearly everything apart from the garage (full of junk!). Parking on the drive for one car. 2 push bikes available. Even try the delicious Japanese teak bath on the top terrace! Interaction with GuestsI will usually be on holiday abroad (sailing is my passion). So regrettably I will see little of you. But my wonderful and ever helpful housekeeper will be nearby. The NeighborhoodThis is all about this beautiful stretch of the River Thames. I am on a large bend on the Northside which offers wonderful walks and cycle rides along both banks. I sometimes have a lovely dog staying with me and we can walk for over an hour whilst only have her on the leash for a few minutes. The pubs, rowing and sailing clubs along the river give the area a unique charm. It feels like the countryside yet being firmly in West London. Getting AroundAbout 7 minutes walk to Ravenscourt Park tube station (District Line) and 10 minutes walk to Hammersmith (on the fast Piccadilly Line to Central London and Heathrow). Plenty of buses up and down Hammersmith hight street nearby. Other Things to NoteThere is a food Marks and Spencers (good brand) shop attached to the petrol station 200 yards away and larger grocery shops within 5 minutes walk. There are numerous and varied mid price restaurants and a cinema within 5 minutes walk. Wifi available of course. Sky TV and DVDs (help yourself).

The SpaceRain or shine, within the spacious confines of this elegant home the mood is always sunny, thanks to a felicitous combination of vivacious interior and tranquil situation. Located just minutes away from bustling Hammersmith Broadway, which provides quick and easy links into the centre of town as well as further afield, this property is an oasis of calm, its private garden a miniature haven of peace. Guest AccessThis property is perfect for large groups of friends, or families with small children over in the capital for a holiday, who need both space and peace of mind. This property provides both in spades – large and located in a very safe and residential area of London, close by the magnificent Ravenscourt Park, it is within easy reach of both Hammersmith and Ravenscourt Park underground stations. Access is at street level, and there are three flights of stairs, so this property is unsuitable for those who have difficulty managing stairs. Interaction with GuestsAs required. The NeighborhoodThis property has the best of both worlds - conveniently located within walking distance from bustling Hammersmith Broadway and its surrounding high street shops, cafés, delicatessens and grocery stores, and Ravenscourt Park, a haven of verdant tranquility. You are also within a stone’s throw of the river, which means you can escape the hectic city buzz for a calm and almost bucolic walk down the stony path that runs the length of the Thames. The beautiful and iconic green suspension bridge, spanning the river from Hammersmith over into Barnes and Putney, is a joy to cross of a golden morning or a striking dusk – benches line the bridge’s walkway, making it perfect for watching the sun rise or set over the Thames. Dotted along the riverside, towards Chiswick, you will find lots of welcoming and idiosyncratic pubs, including the Dove Inn, reputedly the oldest pub in London, and a favourite haunt of both Graham Greene, and Ernest Hemingway, whenever he was over in London. For those who feel that no holiday is complete without a spot of retail therapy, you’ve come to the right place: Hammersmith boasts excellent shopping in two indoor centres, Kings Mall and the Broadway. The latter incorporates Hammersmith tube station and adjoins the bus terminus, and it capitalises on this ideal location with an excellent combination of high-street shops and designer boutiques. Nocturnal Hammersmith is also compelling: the nightlife ranges from exciting restaurants and bars to small music venues, while the prestigious Apollo hosts major rock concerts and the Lyric Theatre presents bold, contemporary drama. Riverside Studios, meanwhile, is an internationally acclaimed arts and media centre. It is situated on "The Riviera" - the other area of life in Hammersmith. This property is also within walking distance of the trendy Brook Green, and Shepherd’s Bush Green. People have always known Shepherd’s Bush is the place to be – evidence of human habitation here can be traced back to the Stone Age, and the first record of Shepherd’s Bush was in 704, when it was bought by Walhere, the Bishop of London of the time. Its name is thought to have originated form the use of the common land here as a resting point for shepherds (and doubtless, their flock) on their way to the Smithfield Market in the area. The only evidence of this rural past is to be found in the lovely Shepherd’s Bush Green, but otherwise, this is very much a bustling cosmopolis. Beatles fan will be intrigued to hear that it was here, at the Lime Grove Studios in Shepherd’s Bush that they recorded their first ever BBC broadcast. The area’s character is as varied as the restaurants and shops with which it is populated, from the bustling Middle Eastern character of the Uxbridge Road (baklava fans would be foolish not to visit the Nutcase, the best baklava shop in town), to the towering commercial success of the Westfield centre, one of the biggest shopping malls in the world. Getting AroundThe nearest tube stations are Ravenscourt Park and Hammersmith, which provide quick links to Westminster and the West End, and Shepherd’s Bush is within 15 minutes walking distance. - Nearest tube station (Ravenscourt Park) 2 min (walk). - Westminster (for Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square): 10 min (tube). - West End (for The Theatre District, Covent Garden, Leicester Square) - 10 min (tube). - South Kensington (for the V&A, Science and Natural History museums) - 10 min (tube). Other Things to NoteThe sleeping arrangements are as follows. Master bedroom: 1x king size Guest room 1: 1x single (extends to double) Guest room 2: 1 x single Guest room 3: 1 x single, 1x cot Children's room: 2x single (childrens) Guest are welcome to use our Christiania Bike. This is a great way to get around the local area with children and even shopping.

The big shopping high street is within 5 minutes walk with lots and lots of shops. Nearest Hammersmith tube is 5 minutes walk. Heathrow airport is 30 minutes away by tube train or by car/taxi. Central London (Piccadilly) is 15 minutes away by tube. With three tube lines including District and Piccadilly running through Hammersmith and a gigantic bus station with buses to take you all over London, you’ll find Hammersmith to be one of the greatest transport connected areas of London. The area has plenty of coffee and deli shops around to have delicious breakfast or lunch as well as gastro pubs, restaurants for dinner. There are 3 large supermarkets in the local area. Hammersmith is also home to the London's best restaurant - the famous River Cafe. Europe's largest shopping mall the Westfield is also nearby. For those interested in entertainment Lyric Theatre is 4 minutes walk away. Hammersmith Apollo is approx. 10 minutes walk. Hammersmith is also home to some very famous people such as Lily Allen, Hugh Grant and even Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe. The SpaceGround floor of a Victorian villa, a very large, airy and sunny apartment. It has one double bedroom with a very large double bed, spacious living room and separate kitchen. The place is within walking distance from great shopping, on a quiet residential street in Shepherds Bush, just off Goldhawk Road. There is a lovely neighbourhood with cafes and shops just across the road - Hammersmith Grove. The flat is also not far from Holland Park shops and cafes (15-20 min walk max) and 20-25 min walk to Portobello Road. This is zone 2, next to three (3) tube stations, Westfield shopping, outdoor market within 5 min walk, etc. Nearest tube: Goldhawk road Hammersmith & City + Circle Line (2-3 min), Shepherds Bush Central line (7-10 min). Dishwasher, washer/dryer, cooker (gas stove and oven), all kitchen stuff, super juicer, french press, towels and bedlinen, hairdryer and all other perks of a normal home. Minimalistic interior with antique pieces, all necessary things, plenty of storage, heating / hot water, large fridge/freezer. The flat has a lot of books, fine wine glasses and generally fairly nice things here and there, as it is my home, and I would appreciate if you treat it as such. There is usually some ground coffee and tea. Unlimited broadband and WiFi available throughout. Plus if you have an Iphone or Ipod - Bowers and Wilkins mini zeppelin is at your disposal with a fantastic sound. NB: Please note though, that if you find nice cosmetic products, scented candles or wine in the cupboards, this, perhaps, means they are mine. Should you chose to use or consume these, please replace with same products. I hope you understand that after a long trip away we all like to find things we left home intact and waiting for us. The flat does not have a TV, sorry. Do you really need it? It is not suitable for two people wanting to share, but rather for a couple or a single person. There is only one, but very large bed (super King size), and the sofa is not really made for sleeping. As the place has old victorian wood floor the only thing I ask is to remove heavy shoes (or high heels) indoors after 9 pm, as the sound travels rather well to my downstairs neighbors. Please do recycle (special bags) and if you do need something else during your stay - do ask, I am very happy to help. Guest AccessThere are some personal things left in a wardrobe and chests, as this is my home. These are off bounds. Please use what you find in the kitchen, but do be kind and replace particular upmarket essentials when you leave with similar products. I normally leave guest soaps, shampoos and other little bits in a glass jar in the bathroom. Any full size products are personal, should you come across them. Interaction with GuestsI am always available on email and phone. Alas, not always in your time zone. Most likely my cleaner or a friend will meet you on arrival. The NeighborhoodYou can easily walk to Holland Park (just over the roundabout) and enjoy the tranquil green space or go for a run, go have coffee or lunch around Holland Park area (15-20 min walk max) or even get to Portobello on foot. If you chose to stay very locally - crossing the road to Hammersmith Grove will get you to some nice cafes (in about 5 minutes), like Raoul's deli and cafe, for example, the Grove restaurant and many more. There is a yoga studio as well. Should you wish to shop till you drop - within 10 minutes walk is a Westfield shopping centre, with a mind-blowing array of cafes, bars and restaurants, plus a great number of shops, a cinema and a great deal more. Right next to us is a Shepherds Bush market, an open air affair for fresh veggies and fruit and some ethnic fair. A great number of supermarkets and ethnic shops and cafes on both Goldhawk road and Uxbridge road. Uxbridge road (just at the other end of Devonport Road, where you are) has great Middle Eastern shops that always have fantastic selection of fruit and veg on offer, better than Shepherds Bush market. There are a few ok Thai places, and other ethnic restaurants. Best Thai I use is in Notting Hill Gate, called Thai Break. Unfortunately they don't do deliveries, but the food is authentic Bangkok Thai. Polpo in Notting Hill Gate is also fantastic. But Westfield shopping centre offers a huge variety of good restaurants, alas, in a more "mall" setting. Getting AroundYou are right in the middle of great transport connections: Circle, District and Hammersmith and City line station (Goldhawk road) is within 3-4 min walk, Central line *Shepherds Bush - 10 min walk. There are a number of buses outside the house as well. Other Things to NoteAll good

The SpaceThe apartment is well situated but small and simply decorated. The main bedroom is large and comfortable with a King size bed, that takes up rather a lot of the room. The bathroom is, I am afraid small and rather simple, but is clean with plenty of hot water and towels. The living room is modest in size but comfortable with two sofas and Sky TV. There is wireless internet throughout and an extensive collection of Movies and TV series on DVD and Books. The Kitchen is well equipped with a small dinette area. Guest AccessThe guests are welcome to use any areas. There is wireless internet and a guest only refrigerator. Early check in is generally no problem. Interaction with GuestsI work from home and generally live a quiet life. I am happy to interact with the guests or to leave them in total peace as they wish. They are welcome to use the living room at any time. I have no objection to any race, religion, sexual orientation or friendly (house trained) pet. My only request is that there is no Smoking inside the apartment. The NeighborhoodHammersmith is a wonderful multicultural neighbourhood that boasts a wide variety of cuisines, some recommended by such publications as "The Times Top 50". Three minutes walk will bring you to the river front where one can enjoy a peaceful river side walk or visit one of many friendly traditional award winning Pubs. There are many cultural venues nearby including both the Lyric and Apollo Theatres. The West End is less than forty minutes away by tube and the London Museums are on a direct Bus route. All in all Hammersmith is an ideal place to stay if you want to enjoy almost any of the wide range of entertainment or business interests London has to offer. Getting AroundThere is easy access to and from Heathrow, City Airport and Gatwick via local public transport. Ravenscourt Park is two minutes walk away and Hammersmith Broadway Undergrounds and the Central Bus Terminal are within 7 minutes walk, giving access to the District, Piccadilly, Hammersmith and City and Circle Lines and bus routes all over London. There is also a reasonably priced local minicab company nearby. Other Things to NoteMy apartment is on the second floor in an old building with no lift.
