The NeighborhoodNot far from the house, there is a shopping mall named Brent Cross, that can be reached in 10-15 mins of walk. Another good option of getting in a busy place filled with restaurants and cafes, its by taking the 83 bus towards Golders Green. Here you will find a nice park as well. From this spot, its an easy and fast access to Finchley Central where you have a small mall and the Jubile line which will take you to the center. Getting AroundNearby you will find a various of public transport from hendon, which will make you're journeys easier towards interesting parts of London.

The SpaceDouble room with very comfortable bed in a split level flat looking over garden. Guests have access to the whole flat. This includes the kitchen, living room, dining area as well as rooftop terrace with BBQ. Erica and Matthew will be on hand and may be overly friendly! We are very communicative with guests. It is a historical neighborhood. It is very safe and peaceful. The flat is located in North London, Hampstead. The nearest station is Hampstead Tube (15 min walk) or Finchley Road and Frognal (15 min walk). The most convenient link is via bus at the bottom of the street which comes every 3-5 minutes to Finchley Road Tube station which services the Jubilee and Metropolitan line. From there it is less than 10 mins to Central London. Please note: the street view indicator before booking provides an estimated location which is incorrect. There is Wifi and Cable. The SpaceThe room overlooks the garden and has a bedside table, a drawer, a bookshelf, a wardrobe, and an office corner with a PC pedestal desk. The bed has a firm mattress, clean sheets, 2 duvets and 2 pillows. The bathroom is next door to the bedroom. Towels and toiletries are also provided. Breakfast is included and the minimum stay is 3 days. I am quite happy to give you advice on how to get around, what things to do in London, helping with directions, recommend restaurants, what places to see (which do not show the travel guides). And you are very welcome to ask me what play, musical or concert to see in this fabulous city. Long-term stays considered. There is a fridge and space in a cupboard in the kitchen where you can store food. A stove and oven are at your disposal for cooking light meals only please. During your stay, you may use the washing machine although you'll need to buy your own washing powder. Bathroom and kitchen cleaning products are at your disposal. Help yourself with tea, coffee and milk anytime of the day. The house has a mellow-sound piano and you are welcome to play it. There is a good working Wi-Fi throughout the house. Interaction with GuestsI enjoy meeting people from all over, and I think a good chat over breakfast or at the end of the day over a cup of cocoa is one of the pleasures of being a host. However, I am very independent and if you want to be left alone that suits me too. The NeighborhoodHendon, in the northwest, is a tranquil neighbourhood that attracts young couples and families from many parts of the world. Here live side by side Jewish, Muslims and Christians. Hendon has one of the largest Jewish community in London. More recently, the area has seen an influx of Eastern Europeans. Middlesex university has a campus here that attracts students from all over the world. Hendon is also the home of Brent Cross Shopping Centre, the first one of its kind in the UK with great stores to suit all sorts of tastes and pockets: John Lewis, Fenwick, Ralph Lauren, Zara, Mango, Next, Marks & Spencer all can be found here along with a variety of independent shops, eateries and coffee shops such as Wagamama, Leon, Costa, Cafe Nero, etc. There are a number of gastro pubs, Chinese, indian and kosher restaurants and bakeries. Hendon has two large beautiful parks and proudly shares with Brent the famous Welsh Harp reservoir, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, that includes a sailing centre too. There are 2 museums next door: The Royal Air Force Museum is 10 minutes away on the bus 32 or just under 30 minutes walk and the Farm House museum is within a short walking distance. Hop in on Bus 183 and you will be at the Wembley Stadium in 10 minutes. Getting AroundHendon has excellent transport links to the city centre. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk and it can take you direct to St Paul's cathedral and the City in under 20 minutes. With an interchange at West Hampstead from the train to the tube, you are in Green Park in 15 minutes. Easy commute to London's landmarks from Hendon Central station on the Northern Line: Hampstead: 10 minutes Camden Town for Camden Market: 15 minutes on the northern line Tottenham Court Road for the British Library: 20 minutes Charing Cross/Leicester Square: 23 minutes for Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery and Chinatown British Library is also 4 stops away from Hendon train station to St Pancras. From St Pancras international walk through beautiful bohemian Bloomsbury, and you reach the British Museum in less than 20 minutes by foot. Hendon central tube on the northern line is a 10 minutes walk from the house with trains running to Camden Town in 15 minutes and Trafalgar Square in 23 minutes. From the airport Thameslink serves trains directly to Hendon from Gatwick airport in the south (just over 1 hour journey) and Luton airport in the north (40 minutes journey). From Heathrow: there is over an 1 hour tube journey with the Piccadilly line to King Cross- St Pancras and from here the train (Thameslink) is only 4 stops away to Hendon. The SpaceA delightful stay in this bed and breakfast accommodation. Your room has been newly decorated with every facility catered for. The views from every window in this cottage are spectacular with gardens all around. You can have use of the garden of the cottage to relax in when so ever you wish. There is a bus that takes you in a few minutes to Golders Green Underground station and then on to the centre of London in about 20 minutes. The house is a short 5 minute walk to local shops. Hampstead Heath is only minutes away for a lovely stroll. It is quiet, safe and peaceful. Guest AccessThere is a beautiful garden and patio which guests can have access to. Bathroom is shared. Complimentary Continental Breakfast is served in the kitchen. Lovely parlour in which to sit and read. Golders Hill is a lovely park with tennis courts and small zoo, nearby. Hampstead Heath is wonderful for walks and nature. There is a little wood to visit nearby. Getting AroundThere is an H2 Bus almost outside the cottage to Golders Green underground station. Alternatively a 5-7 minute walk to the shops and take several buses into London. Parking is available in the road except for one hour during the day when parking vouchers can be bought. There are buses/trains from several of the London airports to Golders Green.     The SpaceThis is a lovely home with two friendly cats and I am happy to make arrangements to work from home whilst I have guests and provide breakfast for an extra £5 per person. I like to run and if you do too, I can take you out on some nice local routes! Guest AccessI have a washing machine and dryer and dishwasher. You'll have your own bathroom and a nice cosy room with a lovely view over fields. At the back of the block, you would never know how close you were to main roads. Interaction with GuestsAs I said, I will be available however much guests would like! If you're just here for business and out all day, I will just make sure I am there to let you out and in. If you're staying a bit longer, I can be around all day to provide information and am happy to have a chat, cup of tea or go for a walk or jog. It's up to you! The NeighborhoodThere's lots of lovely green space round the area, which is lovely for a morning walk or jog. Getting AroundThere's a bus stop 5 minutes away which will take you to the Northern Line (Golders Green) or if you're feeling energetic, it's a 20 minute walk to Hendon Central tube station. There is bus running every 8 minutes from my flat to the tube station and it takes 5 minute, same bus runs also from tube station to my flat every 8 minutes and it takes 5 minute. Bus number 143 Other Things to NoteThe kitchen is stocked with knives, cutting board, blender, a full pan and pot set of high quality cookware etc. To assist with cooking we provide essentials such as olive oil, spices, salt and pepper. You've got everything you need to do real cooking. Clean towels and bed linens are provided. You have access to the entire apartment and will be the only occupants.

    The SpaceThe cottage is in a green, leafy and unique part of London. The cottage itself is smart and fairly spacious. The bedroom is a fairly small single room but guests can use the blue room in the photo as a sitting room. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use the whole house, including the deck and garden in summer, for relaxing in, or the the blue sitting room if they prefer more privacy. I occasionally use this room to see clients in (never over the weekends) apart from this guests can use this as their living area. Interaction with GuestsI am around quite a lot and want you to feel at home. The NeighborhoodHampstead Garden Suburb is in London but you feel as though in you're in a village setting because of the architecture, the space between the cottage and the trees. There are two peaceful woods about a ten minute walk away and Hampstead Heath is about twenty minute walk from here. Getting AroundThe house is a very short walk to a number of bus routes, going to Golders Green (four or five stops) or Finchley. Golders Green and Finchley are on the Northern Line.

    Our home meets with the British Council and the (English UK) standards. They set out our ongoing responsibilities towards you, as well as ensuring the continuity of the good services together with the high standards that are being provided and that it is maintained to benefit you at all times according to the most up-to-date strict guidelines. We regularly receive a personal visit from one of the ‘Accommodation Assessors’, who are certified, trained to inspect and monitor host family accommodation such as ours. Our dwelling is annually checked for safety by the ‘GAS SAFE’ and ‘CORGI’ authorised inspectors. We do have a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher as well as a fire blanket located in our kitchen. All the bedrooms are fitted with a fire alarm/smoke detector as well as all the hallways. Every landing in our home is equipped with a fire extinguisher that are regularly checked and tested. We also have an EMERGENCY house plan with clear step-by-step instructions for everyone to follow. The bedrooms have all been recently refurbished with the intent to provide the utmost comfort for the entire duration of your stay. Your wellbeing is paramount! You are free to utilise your room if you feel the need for privacy, for relaxation, to watch TV, to listen to music, to do your course/homework, to write letters to friends & family or if you are just tired and need a little quiet time. There is absolutely no pressure to mingle. Our home is your home. The bus stop towards the centre of London is twenty steps from the front door! It has wooden floors throughout, and there is a big double bedroom and two single bedrooms; the double sofa-bed means that up to 6 people can sleep in the flat. There is a lovely communal garden at the front and back of the property. Hampstead Heath and the Heath Extension are within walking distance, with amazing views over London when you get to the top. Camden Town is just 4 stops away on the tube. Flat is available to rent from end July to beginning September. You can have it at an extremely discounted rate if you live in or near Bologna or Pesaro AND you are prepared to lend me your car in exchange for the duration of your visit. The NeighborhoodHampstead Garden Suburb is a lovely and peaceful neighbourhood but there is everything you need near by. There are lots of parks and green spaces and even a farm just up the road. Getting AroundThere are lots of buses right at the door and the tube station is a short bus-ride away. You can park for free down many of the side streets off the main road. Other Things to NoteThis is usually our home, and only available in certain periods. It also comes with the homely features that we are used to. We always leave the flat clean and tidy but you will find the plates and glasses and pots and pans which we use every day. It will take you 10 minutes, on the tube, Northern Line to arrive to Camden Town and 18 min to Leicester Square Station (Soho, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, etc). The bus stop is 1 minute distance from the flat. Buses are available during the day and some during the night. ( N13, 102) You will enjoy your stay in our flat. Other Things to NoteDon't forget to buy an Oyster card on arrival. This will allow you to travel in all public transport in London for a fixed daily price. IMPORTANT. If you plan to travel by National Express early morning to Stanstead or Luton Airports try to buy your tickets online so you are sure to have a space in the bus. Sometimes the buses get full and don't allow more passengers. Stressful if your bus is at 2.00AM or 3.00 AM. Please be aware of it.
