The SpaceClearly Faith was an interior designer in a former life as her wonderful taste comes through in every little detail of the flat. This lovely 3 bedroom garden flat has been completely renovated and offers 3 double beds (1 is a sofa bed) a child’s crib/bed, and a single sofa bed, ideal for up to 4 adults and 4 children. The large, eat in kitchen opens up to a garden with outdoor table and BBQ, perfect for lounging in the sun on a summer afternoon. Australian entrepreneurs Faith and Sandy have completely transformed this Victorian home into a stunning garden oasis, just 15 minutes from Waterloo, in the ‘posh’ river suburb of Richmond. Sandy’s family is famous for having founded his hometown of Rockhampton and Faith spent 9 month in Iraq of all places. Together they have surfed some of the best beaches in the world, and when they aren’t busy working on Pinipa, their startup delivering Social Business Change, they are in the garden making the most of the Iconic Egg BBQ and playing with their son Archie. The SpaceMy 2 bed apartment in an old coach house with period victorian features and cute garden is only a 7 minute walk to the station with its 3 train lines providing easy access to all that London has to offer. There are 2 old pubs (one with a playground that is perfect for the kids), and a deli (winner of Deli of the year) within a minutes walk. Richmond Park (London's largest park) was originally the Kings hunting grounds and is a 15 minute walk away. Also within a 10 minute walk from the apartment is Richmond Green which hosted jousting contests in the 17th century. The cute lanes around the green contain great cafés and are also next to numerous old pubs and restaurants on the River Thames (a picture of the river with all its pubs and restaurants are included) The Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew are right next door to Richmond (a 5 minute tube ride away) and the home of rugby at Twickenham stadium is within 2km (5 minute train journey). In addition to the quick trains to Waterloo, Richmond is also on the underground which goes directly to the west end (Hyde Park, Notting Hill, Covent Garden, Westminster and Leicester sq) and is also on the overground which goes directly to North London (you can be in Camden within 35 mins). If you want a trip away from London you can also pop in and say hello to the Queen in Windsor on a direct train in 30 mins ;-) It is not far from Heathrow and if you require a cab then let me know and I will organise a local company to pick you up as they are significantly cheaper than the black cabs. If you need any other information then please contact me. Cheers Jeremy Guest AccessYou have access to the entire flat with washing machine, dishwasher, BBQ for those lazy sunny afternoons and if you require parking then I can organise parking permits for £3 a day. The 2 bedrooms are set up with a king sized bed in one bedroom and a double bed in the other. A 5th (or 6th even) person can sleep on a double airbed that can be blown up or on the sofa however please note this is not a sofa bed. Interaction with GuestsIt's your flat.. Have fun :-)

It’s a very short journey by train to central London (20 minutes to Waterloo) or via the underground (district line 30-40 minutes). Kew Gardens and Twickenham, the home of English rugby aren’t too far away either. The attractions of Central London call all be easily reached using the underground. Accessibility: Richmond is not too far from London’s major airports Heathrow (approximately 25 minutes by car, alternatively you can get the underground Piccadilly line to Hammersmith, district line to Richmond 50 minutes); Gatwick (train to Clapham junction from Gatwick and then train to Richmond approximately 50 minutes). If you are travelling by car there are residents parking bays which you can get a permit for (approximately £5 a day) otherwise there are a few streets nearby without restrictions, although it’s on a first come first served basis. The SpacePart of a converted Edwardian property, the studio is set at the back of a family home with independent access via the family's mature olive and rose-lined garden. It is fully self-contained with its own luxurious bathroom including large standalone bath and a close-away French kitchenette (fridge/freezer, electric hob, electric kettle and basic kitchen utensils including plates, pans, cutlery, glasses, cups etc). Please be aware that access is via the garden of the main apartment and the shared decking area. Please be aware also that there are sometimes small children living at the property and they have use of the garden area. Traditional period styling with minimalist twist ensures that the apartment is both elegant and cosy with handcrafted furniture and a very comfortable kingsize bed. The property is approximately 7 minutes' walk from Richmond overland train station (fast train to Waterloo) and district line tube and benefits from being close to world-renowned Kew Gardens, the Old Deer Park with its open air swimming pool and quaint Kew Village as well as the boutiques and restaurants of Richmond town centre. Major bus routes to central London and Kingston run 24 hours nearby. Guest AccessVia private gated lane and garden which is shared only with the family or with the guests staying in our main apartment if we are away. Interaction with GuestsI live in the main house with my family and am generally on hand to offer local tips, help with anything you may need and and a friendly face. If we are away, most likely our main apartment will be hosting airbnb guests too and all is managed by Romain Le Gac, our management agent, who will be in touch before you arrive. Our guests come back again and again. Some have become good friends, others prefer to be more anonymous. We're happy to cater to both types. The NeighborhoodRichmond, and particularly the location of this studio, offers both proximity to central London as well as total escape from city life. Kew Gardens can be seen from outside the main house, the historic Old Deer Park is a few minutes away, the site of the original Richmond Palace is a lovely walk along the river, Richmond Park is within reach as is the riverside trail towards Hampton Court in one direction and Central London in the other. There is a plethora of world cuisine quite literally on our doorstep as well as some hidden gems in Richmond itself and in nearby Kew. (Personal favourites include the atmospheric cafe at Petersham Nurseries, the Saturday organic market in Heron Square - and the craft market the next day - and Ham House with its cafe and shop in the gardens and the terraced gardens on Richmond Hill itself.) There is also some great shopping to be done on Richmond high street and hill. Cafes and meeting places as well as quiet spots to work or dream abound, whatever the time of year. The property is only 10 miles from Heathrow airport and approximately 1 hour by car to Gatwick airport. Airlines do fly over head at some times of day during high season though the runways are scheduled to alternate between this area and Chiswick. Getting AroundThe 65 bus runs day and night between Kingston and central London. Mainline overland train station and district line tube is 7 minutes walk from the studio. There is metered parking nearby on Kew Road (free from late afternoon and overnight) and free parking in nearby residential streets towards Kew. Other Things to NoteThe studio is set in the private garden of a family home. Guests to the studio have access via the garden but must ensure that the gate is locked at all times and respect the privacy of the family and/or the guests in the main apartment. The garden is for the use of the family/guests in the the main apartment though guests in the studio are more than welcome to use the decking area outside their window. Please be aware that the decking is a shared area and that there may be young children in the garden at times. Parking is possible in nearby residential streets towards Kew (see Stanmore Road for restricted parking and nearby Gainsborough for unlimited parking) and at certain times unpaid on the main road outside and metered parking at other times. Bikes can be stored behind a locked gate in the private garden. Please note, there have been some major updates to the decking and garden recently which we hope to reflect in new pictures asap!

The SpaceThe double bedroom is the guest room in my 2 bedroom Victorian period cottage. The cottage is situated within the heart of Richmond's highly sought after area "The Alberts". It is in a quiet residential cul de sac road. The cottage is picturesque with period features and a landscaped rear garden. It has been recently refurbished. The guest double room is upstairs, carpeted and is beautifully decorated with built in wardrobe. The large double bed is new, very comfortable and the window opens to a lovely view of the garden. All linens are provided. The shared large bathroom and toilet has a shower in the bath and heated towel rail. The sitting room is also beautifully furnished and has period fireplaces. You are more than welcome to relax in the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooking range and oven, dishwasher, microwave oven and washer/dryer. The cottage is in the heart of Richmond upon Thames with several pubs and a fantastic deli just around the corner (2 minutes walk). Richmond is a very green and lovely area, with Richmond Park as well as a village green and the riverside parks. Richmond high street (approximately 7 minutes walk) has a large number of independent shops, delis, restaurants together with the usual chains and a department store. Guest AccessI am fine for long term guest to use the kitchen to warm ready prepared food in the microwave but not to do any major cooking on the range or oven. Stay of less than one week, I would appreciate that you take advantage of the many fabulous restaurants and gastro pubs in Richmond. Price is for only bed and breakfast so please do not request cooked dinner or ask to self cook meals. Laundry facilities are only available for guest(s) of more than one week. Interaction with GuestsI am happy to share my knowledge of London and its surroundings. The NeighborhoodMy neighbourhood is very safe - the best of country and town. Few minutes walk to the shops, Richmond Park and the riverside. Getting AroundVery convenient for transport - buses, underground trains and British Rail trains. Getting to central London is no trouble at all. Other Things to NoteContinental breakfast is provided and masses of coffee/tea and biscuits at other times. Shine on Down the Thames lies the lovely London village of Richmond. A magnet for the well-to-do and those with young families, here the mummies are yummy, the coffee, freshly ground and every loaf of bread seems to come with an extensive back story. Down a storybook cobbled street sits Lancaster Mews. Outside may be traditional, but inside you’ll find an up to date home, furnished with the finest materials on offer. Chrome, marble, wood and lacquer combine to create an effect of subtle decadence. If you like the finer things in life, then Lancaster Mews will suit you to perfection. Earning their stripes Your hosts know how to enjoy themselves. Once in banking and corporate communications, they’re now retired and spend much of the year in Spain. Like their home they’re an elegant pair, loving nothing more than a stroll along the river, followed by a round of golf or a trip to one of Richmond’s two theatres. Thoroughly modern Lancaster Mews was refurbished just four years ago, and you’ll find every surface a tactile delight. Cool aluminium, smooth leather and plush carpets welcome you at every turn. The front door opens into the dining room, with its zebra striped chairs and polished antique table. Head out to the patio for a drink, or next door into the sophisticated black and white kitchen. On the first floor there’s a comfortable sitting room with an intriguing swirling coffee table and, next door, a study that doubles as a single bedroom. Here too you’ll find a granite and marble bathroom. Up one floor further and you’ll be in the master bedroom; here, much of the main wall is taken up by an exquisite Chinese headboard, softly lit by two burnished lamps. The ensuite is little short of spectacular, with its textured black walls, and, of course, our yummy White Company toiletries. Rich pickings With cinemas, theatres, golf course and multitude of shops and restaurants, you’ll have to search hard to find a reason to leave Richmond, or if you just want to gaze out across the Thames then you can do so with ease. And when you’re ready to head into the city centre, the tube can have you in zone one in a little over half an hour. Additional amenities include: iron & ironing board, hob, toiletries, cafetiere, hairdryer, onefinestay iphone. Cancellation Policy No-quibble cool-off period. Provided you book more than seven days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking no questions asked within 24 hours of making it, and we will refund 100% of any charges. Early cancellation. If you cancel at least 2 weeks before you are due to arrive, we will charge you 50% of the cost of your stay. Late cancellation. We’ll be as flexible as we can if you need to cancel. However, once you’re within two weeks of the start of your stay, we can’t refund your booking. If you have any immediate questions, please contact us directly. Shine on Down the Thames lies the lovely London village of Richmond. The SpaceThis recently refurbished 2 bedroom apartment has all you need for a relaxing holiday or comfortable business trip. That's what our guests wrote about it: "It truly is the perfect location!" - "We had a great time at Eleonora's house in Richmond. It is a very nice and cosy apartment ... Highly recommended!" - "Owner is charming and always available. We highly recommend it" - "A nice place in a great location"-"Vielen Dank für die schöne Woche! Wir empfehlen die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiter!"... whatever that means :) Guest AccessThere is a second bedroom in the apartment but, unless I can accept a booking for more then two people, it will not be made available, that is why I listed this 2 bedroom apartment as a 1 bedroom only. If you travel with children the second bedroom can, sometime, be made available. Regardless of this the apartment is at your sole disposal, this is not a sharing situation. Interaction with GuestsWe will always try to help if we can... or be invisibile if you don't need anything. The NeighborhoodRichmond is one of the most beautiful locations of all Great Britain, there are too many attraction to list and describe, see photographs to have an idea or search the net. We'd appreciate if you didn't take photographs of the Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins of our neighbours and should you meet Mick Jagger in our local pub or Nichole Kidman at the corner shop, please don't ask them for an autograph... Forget the posh twaddle :) just enjoy the beautiful location. Getting AroundWe are only 5' walk from Richmond centre and riverside even less from Richmond bus station and maybe 10' from the train/underground. Other Things to NoteI would like your stay to be as pleasant as possible. Rules are meant for this reason only, not to cause aggravation. If, for instance, you can't avoid smoking I will be pleased to suggest an alternative host in the area where you might be at your ease.

The NeighborhoodMontague road is near the edge of 2,500-acre Richmond Royal Park, home to herds of wild deers and London's last true wilderness, a short walk from the River Thames and surrounded by glorious gardens, golf courses and Richmond's local boutiques, antique shops and upmarket cafes and restaurants. Getting AroundThere are so many exciting things to do in and around Richmond that you will soon forget about your planned shopping spree in Oxford Street, your dinner in Soho, your tourist sightseeing around Buckingham Palace and the visit at Harrod’s. My favourites? … Biking from Richmond Bridge to Henry XIII’s magnificent Hampton court Palace, along the river Thames passing by Marble Hill Park, the Petersham Meadows, Eel Pie Island, Richmond Park, The Ham Polo Club, the Richmond Golf course, Teddington Lock… …or in the opposite direction to Putney passing by Kew Gardens, old Isleworth, Syon Park, Mortlake and Barnes Villages… Deer-spotting in Richmond Park, right next door. An evening at the Richmond Theatre, a British Victorian theatre located on Little Green, adjacent to Richmond Green, one of the finest surviving examples of the work of theatre architect Frank Matcham. "the most completely preserved Matcham theatre in Greater London in season: Rugby at Twickenham, Tennis at Wimbledon, pic-nic at open air concert in Marble Hill Park, Cricket on the green and if you are into sports: canoeing on the Thames, horse riding in Richmond Park, Golf, Polo… and if you're not… how about a tour of the historic Pubs and restaurants on the riverside, or around Richmond Green?

The street is blocked with bollards at the bottom, so there is virtually no through traffic. The parade of shops at the top of the road is just a one minute walk away. There is a fantastic bakery there, a wine store and a grocery story where necessary provisions can be purchased. London's most beautiful view (painted by Turner) is just a five minute walk from my front door. So too is Richmond Park and the Thames River. Richmond itself has two of London's finest theaters (the Orange Tree and Richmond Theatre) as well as two movie theatres, one specially in art films. In town too is arguably the world's finest chocolate shop (William Curley) and various fine restaurants. I have a list of such restaurants for guests to enjoy, as well as a small library of books about London for visitors. Getting AroundPublic transport is excellent. The house is a five minute walk from Richmond Station, with tube and trains to London (Piccadilly Circus, Waterloo Station, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, etc), running regularly. We are also perfectly positioned to visit Hampton Court and Windsor Castle. Other Things to NoteThere is a futon so that in fact 7 people can stay in the house at one time.

Other Things to NoteCheckin. We will be leaving the house that morning. I'll leave 1 x key under the doormat and another set inside on the kitchen bench. Here are all the admin things! - Washer: Self explanatory. Liquid and supplies to the right of machine. - Dryer: Beeps continually when finished - you need to turn the knob to the off position to stop it beeping! Make sure you clean lindt out. There is a water draw at the bottom that may need emptying from time to time but I have done this so you shouldn't need to. May explain some random beeping. - TV. Use on off button and then just normal programs for free-to-air. If you want to hook up your computer just switch to HDMI 1 with remote. - Internet: Password is stuck to the router which is located in the cupboard under the TV. - Oven: The large oven to the left is best for general use. To the right is pretty much grill only. - Thermomix: (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) how to use. Key thing is to make sure lid is clicked in or it won't work. Great for blending or can also add heat + stirring to make risottos etc - just (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) thermomix recipes. - Food - help yourself to whatever is left! - Heating - you shouldn't need this but if you do controls are at the bottom of the stairs. Please don't touch the thermostat above the dryer under any circumstances. - Back door is a bit sticky with the lock. Play around and you'll get it. - Girls bedroom upstairs - you can convert the double bed to a single bed if you want more room. - Top room - please make sure that the windows and balcony door are shut when you leave or incase of rain otherwise carpet may be damaged and you may lose some bond! Really important! - Fan: We have a fan in the event of really hot weather. I've bought another one just in case but it's not assembled. Please only use this if you really need it. These are kept under the stairs with the mini-drill for assembly. - Please water the roses and strawberry plants for a few minutes every day that it doesn't rain. - Feel free to take the table outside for dinners! - We have a flower delivery each Thursday which we'll keep up while you're there - makes it a nice surprise every Thursday! - We have a iBoom that I'll leave on the kitchen bench - you just need to sync it with an apple product to get some music happening.
