Curtain up A drumroll, please, for John Adam Street, an apartment so central, and so surrounded by theatres, bars and restaurants that it’s practically a celebrity in its own right. Few indeed are the homes from which one can walk the red carpet in Leicester Square, take a bow in Theatreland and sip cocktails at the Savoy without ever needing to call a cab. Fewer still are steps away from the Thames and Trafalgar Square. Neat and neutral, this is the perfect base for crazy days and late nights – so whether you’ve come to London for culture, for work, or to paint the town red, this is the home for you. Your hosts this evening …are a happy go lucky pair. They like evenings out in fabulous bars, and when the rain’s falling and the nights grow cold, they stay in and share the sofa with their two fluffy puss cats. Top billing The main living space is open plan, with a contemporary white kitchen and a dining table seating four. The leather sofas are large and blissfully snug, or, you can watch the world go by from the two window seats. The family bathroom has a full-sized bathtub as well as a built-in shower, and the twin bedroom holds a useful desk and a map of London – ideal for planning your next outing. The master bedroom is simple and pale, with an ensuite shower room and a super soft, super kingsized bed. Interval drinks You’re right in the middle of the West End, and the attractions are almost innumerable. Take the kids for a romp in St James’s Park, or over to see the street performers in Covent Garden Market. Bright young things can party hard in Soho’s fashionable bars and clubs, while culture vultures will flock to the National Gallery. The whole of London is spread out before you, and you’re so central, you’ll hardly be using the tube at all. Additional amenities include: iron & ironing board, hob, toiletries, cafetiere, music player, hairdryer, onefinestay iphone. Cancellation Policy No-quibble cool-off period. Provided you book more than seven days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking no questions asked within 24 hours of making it, and we will refund 100% of any charges. Early cancellation. If you cancel at least 2 weeks before you are due to arrive, we will charge you 50% of the cost of your stay. Late cancellation. We’ll be as flexible as we can if you need to cancel. However, once you’re within two weeks of the start of your stay, we can’t refund your booking. High fashion Having been shortlisted for a RIBA award and featured in the likes of The Times, The Guardian and The Evening Standard, this spectacular townhouse really is something special – there are hardly any residential Victorian properties in the area (between Fitzrovia and Soho). industrial hanging lamps and sculpted, designer upholstery in the sitting room hint at his taste for the finer things. White walls and black floorboards give it a sophisticated edge, and the cut-out wall overlooking a waterfall feature brings the outside in. The kitchen downstairs is similarly sharp, with high end appliances, clean lines, and a sprinkling of designer furniture. Sink into the graphite sofa with your pick of the bunch, or recline in the teal TV room next door, in front of the huge wall-mounted flat screen TV. Wander upstairs to the second floor, and pick either of the elegant double bedrooms which recline there – each with a muted colour palate, and a high end, grey-slate bathroom between them. And still higher, on the third floor, explore the impressive master bedroom, with its crisp, white king-sized bed, and large fireplace, before relaxing in the spa-style ensuite. The fourth floor is home to a study and calm sitting room. Additional amenities include: iron & ironing board, hob, toiletries, coffee machine, cafetiere, hairdryer, onefinestay iphone. All things considered, Monument Serviced Apartments provide the best choice for discerned visitors to London, who want to get the best out of the capital during their stay. YOUR AREA The London Monument is located literally at your doorstep; this memorial was built to mark the Great Fire of London in 1666. Indeed, the whole area is marked by a mix of historic buildings, which mostly are still used as functional powerhouses today (such as the Bank of England) and modern structures, which have recently turned the skyline of London into a testament to world-class architecture (such as the Shard and the Gherkin). Our serviced apartments in the middle of these two worlds provide an ideal starting point to link the present to the past. With the London Underground a few steps away, you can connect much further afield and explore the entire city with great ease. The Tube will put you within walking distance of all major London weekend markets as well, be it Spitalfields, Camden or Portobello. From vintage to vindaloo, there’s something for every taste in London’s traditional (and not-so traditional) markets. If you want to elaborate on days gone by, try a Jack-The-Ripper tour of the East End, which conveniently starts every evening at Tower Gateway station at 7pm. Another way to kick-start a fun-filled weekend is to just cross over London Bridge, indulge in an international breakfast at Borough market and check out the latest exhibit at the nearby Tate Modern. You can turn your day into a full, cultural outing by seeing the latest productions at the Mernier Chocolate Factory – one of the most cutting-edge stages in London. If I accept your reservation I will, expect you to appear as you do in your ID and be prepared to show ID. I will assume you have read the listing details before hand. Interaction with GuestsI will be present during your stay. I aim to give you as much privacy as you need but I am happy to do what I can to make sure that you are comfortable. I have excellent local knowledge which I am delighted to share with you. The NeighborhoodI love everything about this neighbourhood, it is vibrant, busy and everything is close by. Many of London's attractions - museums, palaces and galleries - are moments away, yet we have easy access to beautiful parks and garden squares. This area is amazing for sight seeing, entertainment, the arts, shopping, eating and drinking. You will save money on transport as it is likely that most of the places you want to visit are walking distance from here. There are various supermarkets close by which will enable you to stock up on your favourite items during your stay. London can be expensive but supermarket products are very competitively priced compared with most of Europe. You may for example decide to travel with hand luggage only to save on your flight costs. You would be able to purchase additional toiletries for your stay for very little cost locally. Every type of food outlet you can think of is right on our doorstep. Sandwich shops, coffee bars, French patisserie, every type of popular restaurant you can think of is near by as well as some excellent independent cafes. There is a friendly copy shop (week days only) where you can get documents printed. Plenty of pharmacies, next day dry cleaning service, shoe repair, book shops and juice bars. You can live like a Londoner for the duration of your stay. UCL hospital with emergency room is nearby and there is a walk in health centre in Soho. Another advantage of this area is that is it well populated and well lit even late at night. As a woman I find this area very safe indeed. Central London is not a particularly dangerous area, most local crime is limited to petty thefts from distracted tourists. I can advise you on how best to avoid this happening. You have the advantage here of being able to come and go throughout the day so there is no need to carry an excess of valuables and important documents around with you. Getting AroundYou will probably not need to use public transport while you are here but if you do: Leicester Square tube station - 30 seconds walk. Charing Cross over ground station - 2 minutes walk Countless bus routes on the doorstep River boats - 5 minutes walk Taxis pass by the front door constantly. Other Things to NotePlease note these important points I have a very small dog so if you dislike animals or have allergies then this space won't work for you. However you can of course keep your room pet free by simply keeping your door closed. The advantages of this central location are many however one disadvantage can be the noise. All the windows of this 4th floor apartment over look Charing Cross Road. Friday and Saturday nights can be especially noisy until late at night. Consider bringing earplugs and sleep masks for your comfort just in case this is a problem for you. I do provide earplugs for guests incase they need them. Spiritually openminded people and friends of Bill especially welcome. In the highly unlikely event of a person sustaining injury whilst on the premises, I need to clarify that Air BNB insurance does not cover this, nor do I have 3rd party liability insurance and so any claims arising from accident would need to be taken against your own travel insurance provider.

The London Monument is located literally at your doorstep; this memorial was built to mark the Great Fire of London in 1666. Indeed, the whole area is marked by a mix of historic buildings, which mostly are still used as functional powerhouses today (such as the Bank of England) and modern structures, which have recently turned the skyline of London into a testament to world-class architecture (such as the Shard and the Gherkin). One New Change, a newly opened shopping centre located by St. Paul’s Cathedral, is just down the street from your apartment, ready to provide you with all daily necessities from casuals to couture, open seven days a week. If you prefer to explore London’s nightlife you’re ideally positioned just a short cab ride away from the hip club scenes of Hoxton and Shoreditch. All things considered, Monument Serviced Apartments provide the best choice for discerned visitors to London, who want to get the best out of the capital during their stay. EDITOR’S CHOICE The City of London, the very heart of business in the UK, will transport you back to Dickensian London with its historic architecture and hidden alleyways, while buzzing with life and activity. And with plenty of international cuisine around, why not try something unusual, such as an urban wine tasting at VINOPOLIS or Turkish pizzas at TAS? There is a late check out charge of GBP10/hr depending on the availability.
