The house is approximately 7 minutes walk to DLR Station and also with other public transport that allows guests to reach London cities easily. There are also supermarkets and local shops nearby. We also have a huge park for football or any types of sport.

The SpaceI will be out of London for the first two weeks of the Olympic games, so I would like to rend my lovely and large double room, for that period.     Self catering two bedroom purpose built ground floor apartment . Wood laminated flooring in the reception area and kitchen. It has a delightful garden as well as a separate dining area which is adjacent to the modern spacious fitted kitchen. There is one master bedroom with a comfortable double bed and fitted wardrobes, and one bedroom with two single beds. It can comfortably accommodate four people. There is also a sofa in the reception area. Recently decorated, the property comes with everything you need for a pleasant stay in London. FREE WIFI INTERNET ACCESS. Excellent train and bus links to all parts of London. A convenient store two doors down, two large supermarkets 5 minutes walk away, as well as all manner of local shops, fast food, bank, and post office all within walking distance.

Its an upstairs room with shared bathroom upstairs. As can be seen from photos, the bathroom is just 3 steps away from your room. We have another downstairs toilet and bath. Its a 3 bedroom Terrace House in East London in which we live, secure and quiet location. We are renting a double back room overlooking our garden, so its quiet. ***We give you as much privacy as possible*** The room has : One double bed cloths rack, folding chair & folding table Flat panel TV Hot water kettle (with t-bags, coffee,sugar,) free wireless internet connection. Bath towels, shower gel. (not new bath towels everyday) Hair blow dryer Water filter for drinking water. EXCEL: Excel Exhibition Centre is a walking distance away (10 minutes) with many shops, restaurants, bars and pubs to enjoy during a day and at night. FOOD & DRINK: Nakhon Thai restaurant - The restaurant offers a great and amazingly tasting choice of Thai cuisine for Asian food lovers. DRINK: The Oiler - Just the opposite of Nakhon Thai restaurant there is a great little local boat pub called The Oiler. The bar is small but there is a good selection. Staff is chatty and friendly. I like this bar because I love the feel of a boat in the middle of a city with a beach view. It is located in a good location near the Emirates Sky Line. FOOD & DRINK: Docklands Bar and Grill - It is a stylish, Modern European Brasserie open until late night and with a great variety of foods both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. I went there few times and was more than impressed veggie main dishes. Despite the lack of organisation in the service, I always leave satisfied. FOOD & DRINK: The Fox at Excel - With plenty of comfortable sitting spaces, relaxing atmosphere and good low background music The Fox may be just what you need. Conveniently located next to the Excel Exhibition Centre this a really nice pub built within an old warehouse. It has high ceilings and old brick walls. Great selection of drinks and food. Beware, lunch times it can get quite packed as conference attendees arrive to partake in liquid refreshment. Pleasant environment, nice food and good selection of drinks. Cheesecake is superb! OTHER ATTRACTIONS: Emirates Air Line - Royal Docks - Superb views and inexpensive using Oyster card. The cable car is fun, and a good bird's eye view of East part of London/Docklands at cheap price equal to a tube ticket. IMPORTANT: From 12 September 2015 Jubilee Line with a stop at Canning Town station will be running 24 hours on Fridays & Saturdays. There are also many direct buses to central London for those who prefer them to taking a tube, like my mummy, for example. She hates tube and always takes a bus when possible ensuring she sits on an upper deck at the very front of the bus where the view is the best! AIRPORTS: -> LCY: City Airport, with regular flights to destinations throughout Europe makes the apartment the ideal location for a modern lifestyle is only 15 minutes away. -> STANSTED: The best is to either use UBER or to take a bus from the airport to Stratford (45 min). Return ticket costs about £15. From Stratford please take a black cab (£15). This is how I travel from Stansted Airport back to the apartment when I stay there. It is the fastest, easiest and least expensive way.     The SpacePerfect for business trips at Canary Wharf, conferences at the Excel Centre or a sightseeing trip. Nice double room in Edwardian conversion with a small but cute garden. Only 10-15 minutes walk to station on Jubilee line and DLR. From the station it's only 11 minutes to London Bridge, 13 minutes to Waterloo and 2 stops from Canary Wharf or Stratford. The Excel centre is also walking distance from my house. The home is centrally heated (nice and warm in the winter months) and there is constant hot water for the bath/shower. The room has a huge kingsize double bed as well as a chest of drawers and wardrobe space to hang your clothes. Superfast WiFi access is also provided. Free roadside parking Guest AccessShared kitchen, bathroom and living room. Feel free to use the kitchen facilities to prepare and cook breakfast or dinner. The NeighborhoodThe street is off the main road and quiet. It is a friendly, multi-cultural area. There are lots of local amenities for food and grocery shopping which are open late. The river, docks and Excel Centre are walking distance. Good local restaurants include Indian, Brazilian and Italian, There is also a brilliant locally farmed butcher and the famous Billingsgate fish market is also not far. Getting AroundCanning Town is on the Jubilee line and DLR. It is in border Zone 2/3. This means that tube travel to central London is cheaper as you pay zone 2 prices. Easy connections to overground, East London Line and Central line (from Stratford or Canada Water). Close to City Airport and London bus routes. 24hr bus routes to West End & Stratford The East end of the Jubilee line is a perfect base for your holiday break in London. Each of the stops from Stratford to Baker Street have a major London attraction. See the 'guidebook' to get an idea of some of what's possible using Canning Town as a base for your visit. Why not take a walk from my home to Victoria Docks, take a stroll along the water, have a beer on the floating 'Oiler Bar' or have a go at Wakeboarding? You can take the amazing cable car from Victoria Docks to North Greenwich, with spectacular views over the east of the River Thames. From there take a river boat along the Thames to many of the London sights such as Tower Bridge, Tate Modern, London Eye and Big Ben. For now, it's the Central and Victoria line and the nearest station for us is Stratford. From there you can take bus 69 (night bus as well) and get to 15-minute walk from the house. Since October 2016 the Jubilee line also runs 24 hour which will take you to Canning Town Underground station (20-minute walk from the house). You can get to London City Airport in less than 5 minutes on the DLR. Central London in 15 minutes on the Jubilee line. 10 minutes to Waterloo or 15 minutes to Leicester Square. Canning Town is also just two stops away from Stratford with it's multiple tube, DLR and overground lines and the fantastic Stratford Westfield. Going the other way towards the centre of town it is one stop away from North Greenwich and the 02 and two stops away from Canary Wharf. In terms of the local area the flat is next to a large number of local amenities as well including a swimming pool, gym, grocery stores and market stalls with fresh fruit and veg. Get in touch! Our area was upgraded to zone 2, which saves some money on travel expenses. It takes 15 minutes to get to Westfield shopping centre in Stratford (the biggest shopping centre in Europe), 20 minutes to the Tower of London and 35 minutes to Big Ben, just to give you an idea. We are also fortunate to have a night bus from Trafalgar Square to a bus stop 2 minutes walk from our house (N15). Although Friday and Saturday night the Jubilee line (our closest Underground station) runs 24 hours on Friday and Saturday night.     The SpaceOur house comprises of two double bedrooms, and one single bedroom, which currently has kids' bunk beds. We have a very large lounge room, which can also be used to accommodate two people on a queen sized airbed (supplied). There is a large "eat in" kitchen and beautiful garden with BBQ and outdoor seating. The house is situated 10 min easy walk from Royal Albert Docklands Light Railway station. Two Docklands Light Railway stations have access to the ExCel Centre - Custom House and Prince Regent. Royal Albert DLR is one stop away from Prince Regent and two stops away from Custom House. Apart from the ExCel Centre, the O2 and the main Olympic Park are within a very short commute from here. The house is situated 2-3 min easy walk from a bus stop. Bus no. 300 stops at the ExCel Centre and is an excellent alternative if the infamous London weather turns bleak and you want as short a walk home as possible! From the same bus stop you can catch bus no. 262, which terminates at Westfield Stratford, which is right next to the main Olympic park. My husband and I are keen runners and we run past the ExCel Centre 5 times a week. By our estimation it will be an easy 20 min walk along the Royal Docks to get to the ExCel from our house. Sunset at summertime tends to be between 9:30 and 10:30pm so you will rarely find themselves walking home in the dark. There are numerous bars and restaurants along the Royal Docks, so the walk to/from the Excel Centre can be stretched out as long as you like! Travelling to the center of London is very straightforward, although it is important to understand that London is a sprawling city, and there is no real "center" which has all the attractions. My husband and I are originally from Australia, and we quite regularly take our Aussie friends on the tourist trail, so I will give you a very brief itinerary we follow to give you and idea of what you can see and the timescales involved. 9am walk to Royal Albert DLR station and catch DLR to Tower Gateway 9:30am walk from Tower Gateway DLR station to the TOWER OF LONDON 11am walk 15 min or catch bus from Tower of London to ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL 1pm walk 10 min to Fleet Street to have lunch in the underground cavernous spaces at YE OLDE CHESHIRE CHEESE pub (rebuilt in the 1600s), supposedly the oldest in London. 2pm walk 5 min to the Inner Temple and see the TEMPLAR CHURCH recently made famous in the Da Vinci Code. 2:30pm walk 15 min to take in TRAFALGAR SQUARE and then down the Mall (it's a road) to BUCKINGHAM PALACE. 4pm walk to Green Park and catch Jubilee (grey) line to Westminster. Take in houses of parliament and then walk across Westminster bridge and take a ride on the LONDON EYE. If you buy a "saver" ticket which includes the Tower of London, the London Eye and a ride on the Thames, you can then hop on a ferry at the London Eye and get off at Tower Hill. 6:30pm walk 5 min from Tower Hill to ST KATHERINE'S DOCKS and have dinner at THE DICKENS INN. 8pm walk 5 min to Tower Gateway DLR station and catch the DLR back to Royal Albert. There are many variations of this, and lots of other attractions which can be accessed easily from our house, but hopefully the itinerary above will give you a good idea of distances and timing. I initially posted links to each attraction, but Airbnb stripped the links so I have written key words in caps - just copy and paste onto a search engine and you will find the appropriate websites easily. These don't affect the room on offer, but around the house there will be timber, canvasses and other materials. There is a stereo and radio in the room, wi-fi is included, and clean sheets and towel. The bed is a double futon, with a foam mattress underneath. Nearby are the Olympic site (a bus ride or 30mins walk along 'the Greenway'), Westfield shopping centre, Excel exhibition space, Canary Wharf, City Airport, O2 (the Dome), and local shops. Access to central London is easy with District tube line 10mins walk away. DLR, buses and Taxis are also in good supply. Both Tate Galleries are an easy tube ride away; the Whitechapel is even nearer, as is Vyner St. with it's iconic private galleries. Everyone is welcome; Artists, Architects, and Musicians may find particular interest here. There is a guitar in almost every room. I attend a life drawing group on Mondays and Thursdays - it's a drop in group, quite nearby, and guests are welcome to attend. Parking outside is free at the time of writing.

Royal Victoria docks and Custom House is also located just 10 mins walk away where you can attend events at the Excel centre and also hop onto the cable cars to the O2 arena which has a variety of restaurants and bars and great if you've got tickets to see a show. The flat is located on the 4th floor with lift access. The double bedroom includes a kingsize bed, wardrobe, bedside table, TV and clean bed sheets with direct access to the balcony. You'll also benefit from having your own personal bathroom with shower and bathtub as the owner has their own ensuite in their bedroom. Towels are also provided. Kitchen facilities includes - oven, electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. The apartment is situated within an area with many other new build flats with easy access to the M25 and City Airport. There is off street parking available as first come first serve and you may also utilise the dedicated parking space when it is not in use. The room will be cleaned before you check in with fresh sheets and covers. Check in time is after 6.30pm on weekday and flexible time on the weekend and Thursdays. Please check with host. It is a 10min walk to Canning Town Tube station, where you can be in central London in 15mins. This apartment is located in Newham, East London, home of the 2012 Olympic games, West Ham Football ground and some of the finest pubs and fish and chips you are ever likely to eat! I am about a 10min bus journey/25min walk to Stratford city center- newly fabulous for the Olympics and contains the largest shopping/dinning centre in Europe! Containing everything from designer labels to high street fashion, complete with champagne bars or pubs...whichever you (URL HIDDEN) really a must do if you love to shop, eat or be entertained! Canary Wharf and the O2 centre (previously millennium dome) are five minutes away on the london underground and all that before you even reach central London which is about 15 mins away. Canary Wharf and the docklands is very hip and brick lane more bohemian. The wharf has beautiful modern architecture,Shopping malls, cinemas, theatre and fantastic restaurants overlooking the river. Brick lane is a multicultural feast full of indian retuaurants, vintage clothing shops, markets and trendy cafes and bars. And as for central London... well there is Theatreland, China town, little Italy, and the fabulous trafalgar square amongst a thousand other attractions that i am more than happy to fill you in on. And if you ever get bored of London: Birmingham, Wales, ireland Scotland, and Paris are all within easy reach (anything from 1 hour to 9hrs travel) The apartment itself is located on a quiet residential road although a two minute walk will bring you to a host of supermarkets, health centres, banks, bakeries,restaurants, cafes, churches and shops. Transport is excellent although i may grudgingly throw my car into the exchange for trips further a field. This is the perfect location to experience both central london and the historical, multi-cultural East-End.. The flat is tasefully decorated with a double bedroom, fully stocked kitchen, living room complete with 43inch plasma screen, DVDs, books, massive sofa and the likes.             The SpaceHello everyone. There is a spare room available in our house in Canning Town, London. The house is a victorian terraced house with a good size back-side garden and obviously BBQ grill and table. The house is brand new, being wholly renewed a couple of years ago. There is wooden floor in every room and in the living room and granite in the kitchen and bathrooms, there are 5 rooms in total in the house, which is on 3 floors and has 2 bathrooms. The third floor has just been converted recently to an amazing loft. The room is located on the 3rd floor, in the recently converted loft and it has a double futon bed and plenty of space for an airbed which can be added in case of a third person. 5 people are living in the house and we also have a lovely, little kitty, Chloè, who is adorable and very discrete. There are 2 full bathroom in the house, one with a shower on the third floor and the other with a bathtub/shower on the ground floor. There is a very fast wifi in the house, and a 53 inches plasma TV located in the living room, which is furnished with a corner sofa and an armchair and a dinning table. The kitchen is huge and you will be welcome to use it. The room offered is a very large size double room. There is a double bed plus a mattress that can be placed on the floor for the third person. Canning Town is a very nice neighbourhood located on the jubilee line or DLR in zone 3, just 2 stops away from Stratford. It is also only 5 stops from London Bridge, so there is really easy access to the centre, which is also easily reachable at night, with many night busses taking no longer than 20minutes from Aldgate and 30 from Trafalgar Square. The area is really quiet and nice, there are 24hours grocery stores, many fast food and restaurants from all over the world and different supermarkets (Tesco, Cooperative, Iceland). The ambience in the house is extremely multicultural and cosmopolitan; a part from us two, every one else is from different nationalities. Greek, English, German, French and Italian. Staying here will give you real taste of the authentic London vibe! We are very good hosts, so many people have passed in this house, for just a few days or longer periods. We will be more than happy to host anyone who is interested! Guest AccessGuests have access to of course their own, private room and to all other common spaces of the house: kitchen, bathroom, livingroom, garden. TV and washing machine can be used if needed, ask for instructions. Interaction with GuestsLet's make it clear this is a turbulent house! There are 5 people leaving in here from 5 different countries, some of us are still students, some of us are workers, we have disparate and sometime crazy hours, so do not expect to come into a family home. If you are in need of a great deal of help in doing things, explanations, time to listen to stories about London's highlights, then this might just not be the right place for you. None of us has a fixed schedule, we travel a lot, to out own countries and abroad, so you might also find yourself alone in the house sometimes and for some time. This must not be a problem for you. You will have your own keys and you'll be able to come and go as you please. If no one will be in the house at your arrival or departure, you will be instructed on where the keys will be left (or where you will have to leave them) and you will be given all the instructions you need. However, this does not happen often, so there is not to much to worry. We always try to be in the house to meet our guests and show them around. Notwithstanding, often when we re at home we like spend some time together, eating, playing table games, watching movies or drinking wine. So, you will be more then welcome, obviously, to join the mingling, when there will be some going on! The NeighborhoodNewham is an extremely pleasurable borough to live in. Interestingly enough it is the borough of London with the lowest average age! It is surrounded by plenty of grocery stores from all over the world, barbers, beauty salons, pubs, restaurant from disparate countries (Ukraine, Africa, India, China, Italy) and everything else you might need at any time of the day. There is also one 24hours shop and 1cooperative and tesco. Getting AroundCanning town is at a very easy access from the centre, located only 5 stops from London Bridge. The Jubilee line is the best functioning line in London, it is rarely close at the weekend, unilike the majority of other lines and it is very fast. After tube time there are 3 night busses (N(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)) coming to canning town all night long directly from central London (Trafalgar square, Aldgate, Shoredich). They pass roughly every 10 minutes on Friday and Saturday night and about every 15 minutes on weeknights. You can use these busses to come back from a night out after the underground closes at 12.30 am.

The bus stop is just at the end of my road – not even a minute walk away. Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf are about 30/40 mins away by tube from Upton Park or Stratford. THE LOCAL AREA Locally you're minutes away from the famous West Ham Football Club - with stadium tours running throughout the year. For shopping & eating out, Green Street is on your doorstep - known for its Indian cuisine but where you'll also find Caribbean eateries and a traditional British pie, mash & eel shop! The NeighborhoodNice quiet neighbourhood with great neighbours. LOCATION The bus stop is just at the end of my road – not even a minute walk away. The 104 bus takes around 10 minutes to the local underground station - Upton Park (District, Circle & Hameersmith Line). From Upton Park you are a few stop from West Ham (Jubilee Line) and Mile End (Central Line) which will take you into Central London, Oxford street, Docklands and the city. Or stay on the 104 bus for 20 minutes ad got o the last stop _ Startford where you can cath lots of underground, bus, coach and trains. This is also where the Olympic park is and Stratford City Shopping Centre. THE LOCAL AREA For shopping & eating out, Green Street is on your doorstep - known for its Indian cuisine but where you'll also find Caribbean eateries and a traditional British pie, mash & eel shop! A visit to Queen's Market along Green Street is a must for bargains galore - jewellery, bags, clothes Getting AroundLondon City Airport is around a £15/20 taxi fare less on the way back if yuo book with a local taxi company. Excel is a quick 15 minute drive early in the morning around 6am. Not sure how much parking is there. A cab costs around £10 possibly cheaper. Excel by underground - from Upton Park go to West Ham, change at Canning Town catch the DLR to Excel (Becton Train NOT Woolwich Arsenal) Bus stop 30 second walk away to go into Stratford Olympic Park and Westfield shopping centre. Becton DLR is a 20minute walk away. 20 minute walk to Upton Park to get the District and Circle line which connects to the jubilee and central line at west ham and mile end which takes you into central London. Bus stop at end of road that takes you to Stratford on the 104 bus or get off earlier at Upton Park tube/underground - takes 5 minutes - to get all links to London or you can walk for 20 mins to Upton Park tube if you don't want to take the bus. Upton Park is on the District & Circle line, a few stops from the jubilee and central lines. Taxis are reasonable to local places. Use Uber on your phone if you have it or I have local car company numbers and can help you with your plans. Stratford is where the Olympic village and Westfield shopping centre is which is Europe's biggest shopping centre. It's cheaper to get a train from Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead. Pre book online for deals into London. Then catch the underground to Upton Park or get a taxi once you are in London. For more travel info please mail me. PARKING Outside my house and on Denbigh road which is to the right of my house looking out from the inside front, parking is currently free (Oct 2016), this may change to permits for please ask me when booking. This is your responsibility! I will guide you as much as I can. Outside my house there are white painted lines on and off the kerb at the moment this is free. Make sure that you are in the boxes completely and put your wing mirrors in as busses go down this road.
