The NeighborhoodAfter living in a number of countries, we have come to believe that Wimbledon Village is one of the finest places to live, anywhere. Our home is a few minutes from the quaint High Street, with lots of shops and restaurants, and just another few minutes from the Commons, a lovely wooded park that goes on for miles and miles. And then, you can take the train from WImbledon Centre, and in just 17 minutes you are in central London. To us, this village/city dynamic brings the best of both worlds. And, without saying, if you want to really enjoy the festivities of the Tennis, the Village is best place to reside. Getting AroundBus lines operate around the corner, and train/tube service is down the hill in Wimbledon Centre. Other Things to NoteOur dog, "Schnugel", an eight year old cocker spaniel/poodle, is a resident in the house. He loves people and is quite affectionate, but not overbearing. He is quite clean and does not shed, and will not be a bother. But, if you like dogs, you will certainly meet a new friend.
