The SpaceCoquet View at Westcliffe House is a luxury 4 star first floor apartment sleeping upto four people in two stylish and comfortable bedrooms. Accessed from the rear of Westcliffe House, Coquet View has allocated off street parking and a private patio with flower pots, table and chairs to seat four people. When you walk through the door you'll be amazed by the feeling of space and the simply stunning views of the Coquet Valley through every window. Through the entrance hall there is a stylish glass dining table which seats up to six people. A wide hallway runs throughout the apartment with double doors leading to the Living Room to the left and the Kitchen to the right. The Living Room has French doors leading out onto a balcony overlooking the grounds and the glorious Northumberland countryside beyond. It's South facing so you get the sun streaming into this light and airy apartment almost all day. You probably won't need a TV with those stunning vistas to admire, but you have a 32" TV with Sky Freeview and a DVD player should you wish to use them. Comfortable sofas, coffee table, bookshelves, standard lamps and ornaments finish off this stylish living room perfectly. The large, modern Kitchen offers granite worktops, oven/hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and seperate freezer, a family sized dishwasher, a washer/dryer and all the pots, pans and utensils you could possibly need in a self catering holiday home. At the end of the spacious hallway there is another comfortable leather sofa between the two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The twin bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom which has top of the range Villeroy and Boch fixtures and fittings, a shower over bath and a tiled floor. The Master Bedroom has a king-sized bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage and most importantly those views! French doors open up the room to the balcony and green countryside below you, perfect for that romantic getaway! The Master also has a full En Suite with Villeroy and Boch fixtures and fittings and shower over bath. All our guests are welcome to enjoy the beautiful Grounds at Westcliffe House during their stay. The NeighborhoodWestcliffe House is located to the Western end of the Village of Rothbury in a small, exclusive area known as Pondicherry. It's just a ten minute walk along the valley road (with stunning views of Coquetdale!) to the Village and all the amenities it has to offer. Rothbury is known locally as the Capital of Coquetdale and offers an excellent range of shops, with many art galleries, tea rooms, cafes and pubs. It makes a very convenient base for fishing and for walking into the Northumberland National Park and Simonside, as well as offering less strenuous riverside walks. Rothbury lies near the centre of rural Northumberland, 12 miles from Alnwick, 15 miles from Morpeth, 15 miles from the coast and 29 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne. As such it makes the perfect base from which to explore all that Northumberland has to offer. Nearby Cragside House and Gardens, home to Lord Armstrong is perhaps the most famous local attraction, just a mile or so up the road. This wonderful National Trust property was the first house in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity, the revolutionary home of Lord Armstrong (Victorian inventor and landscape genius) was a wonder of it's age. Built on a rocky crag high above the Debdon Burn, Cragside is crammed with ingenious gadgets and surrounded on all sides by one of the largest rock gardens in Europe. Through the tiled entrance porch (perfect for those muddy walking boots or towelling off the dog!) there is a large central hallway with access to all the other rooms. All the accommodation in Poppies is on one level with only a few steps outside before entering the property. Straight ahead of you is the large open plan Living & Dining Room, with French doors leading out onto a small patio. You have everything you need entertainment wise with a 32" LCD TV with Sky Freeview, a DVD player and games should you wish to use them. Comfortable sofas, standard lamps and ornaments finish off this stylish living room perfectly. Being open plan, Poppies is ideal for couples and young families with a dining table that comfortably seats four people. The modern Kitchen offers granite worktops, oven/hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and seperate freezer, a family sized dishwasher, a washer/dryer and all the pots, pans and utensils you could possibly need in a self catering holiday home. We are on the Sandstone Way and offer a good stopping point for weary cyclists and walkers. Guest AccessOur guest rooms are in a wing of the house so slightly separate from the family quarters. We can advise on places to visit and places to eat. Our summerhouse is set up as a comfortable shelter for star gazers - the best night skies can be seen, and if requested, we can arrange for an expert to help you understand what you can see in the night sky. The NeighborhoodIf you love the countryside, the hills and the coast then this is the place to visit. It is very quiet here, no street lights and very little traffic. Sheep and cows are in the fields. There is plenty of history - Iron Age and Stone Age settlements are all within walking distance. Castles are within driving distance - Alnwick, Bamburgh, Warkworth, Chillingham, and with the famous Chillingham cattle. The site of the Battle of Flodden is nearby. Getting AroundThere is no public transport in Ingram. The nearest train station is Alnmouth and the nearest airport is Newcastle. We are more than happy to collect guests from both for an arranged fee. There is plenty of room for car parking in our drive and secure storage for bicycles. You can walk for hours in the hills without meeting anyone, but you can be in Newcastle in less than an hour, or Edinburgh in 1 1/4 hours. This is one of the most underpopulated areas in the country. Getting AroundThere is a bus every hour to Berwick-upon-Tweed, which takes 40-50 minutes, and likewise to the market town of Alnwick. Berwick is on the East Coast line between Edinburgh (45mins) and Newcastle (40 mins). Other Things to NoteWooler has 2 banks, a post office, a small supermarket, many cafes and pubs, and and an excellent tourist office.

      Rose Cottage is a delightful cottage set in the Cheviot Hills with a wonderful view over the Glendale Valley. 2 bedrooms, 1 with a king sized bed and one small with two single beds. The sitting room has a log fire, comfortable chairs and coffee table. The sun room has a large dining table seating 6 people and two comfortable chairs, and a wonderful view over the valley. The kitchen and bathroom are a modern addition, the bathroom has a bath with shower over it and the kitchen has all modern equipment, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, fridge, freezer and a lovely view while you wash up. There is a large safe garden and off street parking. Well behaved children and dogs welcome. This road goes via Alnwick Moor, past Edlingham and Cragside House and Gardens and boasts unrivalled views of the Northumberland countryside. The B6341 runs through the centre of Rothbury and should be used if approaching from the North or West. From the South and East it is best to use the B6344. There are two main car parks, the main car and coach park at the South side of the river and Beggars Rigg car park to the West of Rothbury. Both car parks have picnic facilites and lovely views of the river. The main car park has a children's play area and plenty of opportunities for feeding the many ducks. The little walk over the river is also too pleasant to be missed! Travelling by Arriva Bus there are two routes that pass through Rothbury, the 508 that comes from (and goes to) Gateshead and Newcastle and the 144 that comes from Morpeth. We have used River Neuk as our holiday home for years so you can imagine there is absolutely everything you could possibly need in the way of equipment, crockery and cutlery. The large lounge/diner comfortably seats four people and comes with a range of entertainment including high speed Wifi internet, a 32" LCD TV, DVD Player, Radio System, Wii games console and a range of books, board games and DVDs! So if the weather's bad or just want to relax in comfort, we've tried to provide everything for you. River Neuk sleeps up to four people with a comfortable double bedroom with wardrobe, large chest of drawers and bed side tables so there's plenty of storage. The second bedroom is a twin with a large day bed, wardrobe and bedside tables. Finally there is a family bathroom with a bath with shower over, WC, handbasin and also a washer/dryer. Although Model Buildings is a two storey historic property the accommodation is on one level making the Cottage ideal for people with limited mobility (there are two small steps to enter the property). Outside there is a small private courtyard with storage shed where you can safely store cycles, or suitcases etc. We have also provided a trolley to help with unloading the car on arrival and bringing your belongings inside. At the back of the Cottage is a shared outdoor space with planters, seating and washing lines. The Coquet riverbank is just yards from the door with a wonderful play area for the children (slides, climbing frames etc) and a football area. It's all just a few seconds walk without having to cross any roads making it ideal for young families. We're also pet friendly and provide as standard feeding bowls, a spare lead (in case you forget when packing!) and dog towels. We are happy to accept one well behaved dog at this property and there is a pet fee payable.                       Emma's Cottage is located in the peaceful village of Glanton, Nr Alnwick. A charming, luxurious house with stunning views of the Cheviot hills to be enjoyed from the large rear garden. A favourite with ramblers and cyclists with the Pennine Cycle Route 68 passing close to the village. Buzzards and Kestrels hunt over the garden almost every day, Barn Owls and Sparrow Hawks are regular and Peregrines occasional visitors. Red Squirrels and Roe Deer can be seen, in fact the deer have become something of a nuisance. The house is centrally placed so that Alnwick, Bamburgh, the Farnes, Hadrian's Wall, Keilder Water and the Dark Skies Park, the Borders and Scotland are all within easy reach. It is very convenient for touring Northumberland and the Borders, for walking, cycling, birdwatching and fishing. Pets are welcome. The location makes it particularly suitable for dogs, being off the road and close to moorland walks. Ideally and quietly located at the top end of Rothbury High Street, all local amenities are a short walk including banks, post office, tea-rooms, public houses and a variety of shops, including a very good delicatessen. Ideally suited for 1-2 people at any time, or a family group of 2 adults and up to 3 children for not less than 3 nights. It has a single bedroom with a double bed that converts into 2 singles (another single bed is also available). There is a double sofa bed (slatted base with sprung mattress) available in the large lounge. We commonly have families staying where up to 3 children sleep in the bedroom and the parents in the lounge. It is not really suitable for more than 2 adults as the shower room is only accessible through the lounge where the sofa bed would be. The lounge leads, via two steps, to a small lobby with the kitchen and shower room (with toilet & basin) adjoining. Parking is 'on street'. Facilities include central heating, washing machine, fridge, microwave, electric cooker, clothes airer, iron & ironing board, Digital TV, DVD player, radio and Wi-Fi. An electric fire and fan heaters are available to supplement the central heating. The Acorns has a 3 Star rating and has been operating for more than 10 years. We have a commitment to being ethical and to re/up-cycle where we can. So while some people may find our furnishings 'tired' or 'not matching' it is because we care about throwing things away before their time and obtaining things that others no longer require. Some of the items of furniture are family heirlooms and we use the local RSPCA charity shop quite a lot to change things round when 'new' items become available. This does not detract from the quality or the cleanliness of the apartment it just means we are perhaps a little quirky.....but maybe more homely than some other holiday lets.                                   “Hectors house” is located in the Northumberland village of Rothbury, which has outstanding local features along with hill walks and beautiful scenery. A major feature of Rothbury is Cragside, which is home to the famous Lord Armstrong, inventor of Electricity and other major Engineering. Hectors house is located on the street named Model Buildings in Rothbury and is attached back of the United reformed church and runs south toward the river coquet and park/ picnic area. It was originally built around 1860 by Lord Armstrong for his workers and used as the street name states as “Model buildings” of future work houses in the village with running water and flushing toilets. The property was extended in around 1992 to add a bedroom and bathroom. Then in 2013 the property was fully re furbished to add a further bedroom in the roof space with en-suite toilet and hand basin. Velux roof lights give more views over the Simonside hills. This property is our own personal property and has been refurbished without cutting any corners and completed to a very high standard as after all you do not wish to stay in a property that is not as comfortable as your own home and that is our objective and hope you like what you see and enjoy your stay. The main living space on the first floor is an open plan living room with light oak fitted kitchen with electric cooker and electric halogen hob with integrated dishwasher. There is not a washing machine. The fridge freezer is a free standing Smeg unit in Cream. The oak stairs lead up from the open plan living room to the roof room Bedroom with king size bed with en suite toilet and separate hand wash basin. From the living room, a door leads into the rear dining room/ dressing room and bath room. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a walk in mains presure shower with sliding glass door. The hand basin has a mirror above with vanity light and the toilet has a slow closing lid to avoid the unnecessary lid drop.                                   A fantastic new build period style house which is located in the heart of the Northumberland. The property is presented very well and has accommodation arranged over two floors and briefly comprises, entrance hall, spacious lounge, fitted kitchen/breakfast room, utility room and cloakroom/wc. To the first floor are three good sized bedrooms with two doubles and a twin room. All our beds are memory foam topped for a good nights sleep,and a white bathroom suite /wc. Externally there is an enclosed low maintenance gardens to the rear. Situated in the northern part of the county close to the scottish border, wooler is an excellent base for a holiday or exploring the surrounding countryside. The foothills with their quiet back roads and bridleways are ideal for many activities, including cycling,golf, horse riding, fishing and rock climbing. Due to the fantastic location of our buildings they are highly sought out. Book now Modern built just off Wooler town centre within walking distance of all local amenities and restaurants. River Neuk has full gas central heating and is fully equipped to an extremely high standard throughout the property. The Entrance Hall has access to all of the rooms which include: A comfortable and spacious Dining Lounge with a feature electric fire and surround. There is plenty of comfortable seating for four people with a stylish three seater settee and a two seater settee, oak laminate flooring and window to the front of the property.
