The SpaceBeing the private home of an Architect, the space is carefully curated. Historical exposed beams, high ceilings, lavish Parisian drapes. Light, serene and beautifully decorated. In a bustling city, this neighborhood and the apartment are an oasis of tranquility. Guest AccessYou are free to access it all! Bed linen, towels, throws, fittings and finishes are of the finest. There’s a flat screen home theatre system in the lounge, cable TV, dvd, bluetooth music connectivity, Sound system, record player with a selection of favorites, wifi internet, telephone. Part of other bedroom is a Scandinavian inspired bathroom including a bathtub that fits up to 3 people (Never actually tried more… but I guess it’s possible) hairdryer, handset and rain showerhead, with a separate toilet and handwash basin. The double height living space has a beautiful exposed stone wall. A fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, sink, and electric tea kettle. Dinner service, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, large collection of spices. Interaction with GuestsAs much or as little as you like. I do pretty great bike tours of Paris. The NeighborhoodStep outside, and you’ll be directly on Rue Montrogueil, the jewel of Paris. Montorgueil is in the heart of the city and is the walking district of Paris. This is Paris village living at its best: the streets are lined with the finest merchants in cheese, wine, fish, fruits & vegetables, pastry shops (La Maison Stroher, founded by Marie-Antoinette’s chef is directly downstairs), bakeries, ice cream and chocolate shops.
Many of the Parisians favourite restaurants and landmark cafés, bistro’s and brasseries are here (Le Tambour, where Paris meets and eats from evening until 5am in the morning). Every Thursday and Sunday, there’s a farmer’s market on the trendy Rue Montmartre. And there’s a fitness club with pool up the street.
Les Halles, Rue Rivoli, Rue St Honore, le Marais, Le Louvre, Pompidou Center and Palais Royal are all within a 5 minutes walk. Notre Dame, the Garnier Opera, Galeries Lafayette are a 10 minutes walk. There is also a Velib station (the city's public bicycle service) just a minute down the street.
For longer trips or to rest those legs, the apartment is located next to the Châtelet - Les Halles (metro lines 1, 4, 7, 11, 14) Sentier (metro line 3).
