We can provide you with free of charge an additional bed for an adult, or a crib. Saint Rémy de Provence is a typically Provençal village, in the heart of Alpilles, famous for his numerous celebrities and among others Van Gogh. The apartment is situated in St Rémy's heart with its numerous businesses, bars and restaurants. A market also takes place on Wednesdays, just next to the building. The SpaceIn the heart of Provence is a former vineyard. The Master House was built at the end of the 19th century. You are welcomed into what was the wine cellar, now a ground-floor apartment, 110m square, furnished in a contemporary Provencal style. Of luxurious standing, you can enjoy the wooden ceiling, the century-old beams, the floor and bathroom in Travertine marble. There is a fully equipped kitchen in the large sitting/dining-room. A comfortable couch will encourage you to read (English and French books), you can listen to music (classical and variety) on a hi-fi system. A computer with internet access is available. There is a large wardrobe and a double bed in each of the two bedrooms. The bathroom is in Travertine marble with an Italian shower. If you feel like cycling, an apartment bike is available. In the yard and garden are century-old plane trees and a linden tree to shelter you from the heat of the sun. Two outdoor relaxation rooms "l'Africaine" and "Le Jardin Bleu" have access to the garden and the pool. It is an ideal setting for you to escape and discover Provence, to switch off from the negative influence of current events, and to enjoy some relaxing holidays at your own pace. To help you relax, there is no television. (TV in option on request). Just a few minutes from Avignon, St. Remy de Provence, Les Baux, l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Gordes and the better-known villages of Luberon: Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste... The SpaceA light, sunny apartment with its entrance on a peaceful limestone track near beautiful Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in the Vaucluse. The huge garden, with lavender, oleanders, thyme and olive trees, blends into pine forest. The apartment has a large, sunny, high-ceilinged sitting room with well-equipped American kitchen, a large double bedroom with double bed, and a spacious bathroom. You have the tranquil Provencal garrigue right outside your door, with occasional horseriders passing by. The pretty village of Velleron and medieval market town of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are close by. So are the medieval villages of Pernes-les-Fontaines and Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. It's worth looking online to see how lovely the area is. (And it's not just wonderful in summer - it's great to visit in spring, autumn and winter too. Spring and autumn are often warm, dry and sunny and winter's often sunny and dry. Plus, in winter, you get to meander through the medieval villages with no one around, which can be magical.) Avignon is half an hour away. The wild wetlands of the Camargue and the coastal town of Cassis are an hour's drive away. The vineyards of Chateauneuf-du-Pape are a little way to the north. If you like walking, cycling, horseriding, kayacking, swimming, visiting the wonderful local markets or just swinging in a hammock in the sun then this is a great place to stay. Your host speaks English, French and some Italian and will happily tell you about the area if you ask. But if you prefer to come and go and explore as you please, your privacy will be respected! Do note that you need a car as the apartment is a couple of kilometres from the village. But you will no doubt have a car anyway, to explore this lovely region.

The NeighborhoodThe house is surounded by agricultural fields. The area is away from circulation. Getting AroundI recommend to have a car to visit the region. Parkings are inside and outside the propriety. The Space4 of the bedrooms are very spacious and all allow plenty of privacy. 2 bedrooms have queen size beds and ensuite bathrooms, 1 bedroom w/ queen bed, 1 extra large suite w/1 King and a daybed with 2 couches in sitting area, 1 small bedroom w/ 2 double beds, one very small bedroom w/ a single. The house dates from the 1600's. The thick stone walls in the back courtyard are over 20 foot high and are the 500 year old ramparts of the old city. The quaint village has its own patisseries and epicerie and a fantastic daily farmer's market for easy walking access to daily provisions. Village is well situated to take short day trips (20 minute drives) to Fontaine de Vaucluse, Avignon, Chateau Neuf du Pape, Roussillon, Gordes, and if you drive a bit further, to Aix-En-Provence. These additional arrangements are made directly with staff. The NeighborhoodVelleron provides the best of Provence in that it is a peaceful haven to enjoy some rest and relaxation but by virtue of also being a village house, you don't have to get in a car if you forgot to buy milk. Town is so close to so much sight-seeing. Some of the best antiquing in France, many arts and cultural events in Avignon and surrounding towns, Bike rental available in the village, plenty of inspiration for photographers and artists. Please note: July is the Festival de Velleron, a lively music festival with different music acts several nights a week. The stage is on the church square, directly in front of our house with bleechers set up all around the square. During July, the otherwise quiet village is filled with many people and cars. Our home is very much in demand in July for this sought after attraction.The location of our house will provide you the best, private house seats overlooking the square to enjoy the show which usually finish around 10pm. If you prefer a more quiet vacation, you might consider a different month to book our home. For monthly stays additional cleaning fees will apply Getting AroundBest to rent a car. Other Things to NoteYou must check out the huge Sunday Market in Isle sur la Sorgue (10 minutes away) -- Flea market and fresh produce, from candy to sausages, olives and trinkets. The birds wake up in the morning and cicadas will delight you for breakfast. Preserved natural area from all excursions can, in the heart of Provence just put your bags and discover our accent, our sunny kitchen and our joy. The flat comprise of a large living area with american kitchen (32m2), 1 master bedroom (12m2), 1 kids bedroom (12m2) with bunk beds and one bathroom with bath tub. Toilets are separated. The "adult" room has a double bed, The "children" bedroom can also be used by 2 adults providing they don't mind bunk beds ! The american kitchen is fully equipped, and you can have your meal or Nespresso sitting at the bar. The apartment has a large terrace that opens up on to the big common garden, and is fitted with exterior sofas, a Moroccan table. From May to September, you can enjoy the shared swimming-pool ! The flat as a dedicated parking place reserved for you. A huge supermarket (Auchan) is at just 5 mns drive from home. The nearest convenience store, bakery and news agent are 5 minutes walk away. Access to the apartment is very easy as it is located 2 mns away from a small airport, 15 mns from the Rail station, 5 mns from the motorway exit. The wonderful area offers you a lot of beautiful lanscapes, places of interest and activities : the Mont Ventoux, many beautiful footpaths, bike rides, the Rhône river, the Alpilles... and of course the charming city of Avignon itself ! Use of the pool is between the 15 of June and the 15th of September.From the Avignon Festival - acclaimed for its plays, dance and music – to the medieval villages of Gordes, Fontaine de Vaucluse and L'Isle sur la Sorgue, you will be spoilt for choice as you explore this beautiful region. From the best-known villages to those which are smaller and off the beaten track, Provence and the Luberon will entice you. Other activities, for those who appreciate nature, include kayaking or canoeing on the crystal-clear Sorgue river. For a day trip, the Mediterranean coast is just 60 miles away or the unique wetlands of the Camargue are around 45 miles away.
