Elementary, my dear If Marylebone has a downside, it’s that there’s too much to do. Oxford Street tugs you one way, Theatreland another, and just beyond your doorstep you'll find everything from scones to tweeds. But Blandford Street II assists in ordering that delightful chaos. The clean lines and the crisp furnishings of this hidey-hole in the heart of London are all the sweeter for being swathed in creams, wheats and mushroom-browns, while the sitting room’s devoré curtains are distinctly snazzy in blue-black. And the comfort of the white L-shaped sofa might distract you from that not-so-simple decision of where in the West End to turn next. Minimal fuss Your host chose Marylebone for its proximity to his former workplace in Mayfair. Now retired, he spends most of his time in the glorious New Forest, but when in London enjoys walking to the West End's shops and theatres, as well as the restaurants and eateries of Marylebone Village – indeed, all are close by. Admirable restraint Simplicity starts from the moment you find the fuss and feather-free living area. Flick on the wall-mounted TV, find the comfiest spot on the corner sofa, or turn to the quietly cool kitchen and show just why the homeliest ingredients are the best. You’ll find the balcony waiting just outside, and, coffee poured, you can sit back and bask in the afternoon glow. There’s a nifty pull-down double bed in a secluded nook of the sitting room, or just turn to the elegant, restrained master for a nightcap on its balcony. Additional amenities include: video game console, iron & ironing board, hob, toiletries, cafetiere, music player, hairdryer, onefinestay iphone. Cancellation Policy No-quibble cool-off period. Provided you book more than seven days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking no questions asked within 24 hours of making it, and we will refund 100% of any charges. Early cancellation. If you cancel at least 2 weeks before you are due to arrive, we will charge you 50% of the cost of your stay. Late cancellation. We’ll be as flexible as we can if you need to cancel. However, once you’re within two weeks of the start of your stay, we can’t refund your booking. If you have any immediate questions, please contact us directly. Elementary, my dear If Marylebone has a downside, it’s that there’s too much to do. The SpaceHi Dear travelers ! My Apartment is very coisy. In fact, I like to call it a Marrakech Bazar ! so it is not for everyone (Please check the photos); it is colourful (not a black and white); it is my home, it feels such and I want my guests to get the same feeling. This apartment is absolutely one of the best, because of the Superb location, the nice queen size bed and the possibility to share if you are two travelers or friends if you decide to use the futon couch in the living room. This flat can accomodate up to 4 people. Located in Marylebone; the heart of London, this wonderful 1 bedroom apartment is excellent for anyone who wants to enjoy London without paying a fortune for a hotel. I would invite anyone to check the surrounding hotels prices. It gives you also the possibility to save on food as you have full access to the kitchen like at home and you are 5min walk from any supermarkets you like: Tesco; Waitrose or Selfridge food Hall. One of the things I like the most about this flat is that it has a corridor. it may sound ridiculous but it is rare in Central London to find flats with a corridor. This feature creates both space and privacy (Please check photos). It separates the different spaces in the flat from each other and make it bigger. The flat is composed of a bright, high celling living room with two big windows that give to the mean street. My main street is very quiet especially in the evening as no public transport is using it. But yet in the next block at Baker street (1min walk), you have access to buses lines and tube station. The kitchen is a good size and has all what you need to feel home and cook a good meal (my cleaner can guide you through it). The bathroom is a good size, clean and practical. The bedroom is spacious, bright and calm. it has a window on a private courtyard. You have access to clean bed sheets and empty shelves to make you feel at home if you need space for your clothes. Guest AccessYou will have access to the whole flat (except my clothes; files; and personal belongings in general). Everything is arranged to give you enough space and to make you feel like at home. I used Airbnb myself and was hosted in different places. I would just ask my guests to respect my private belongings. The rest is all open and they can use. So the guests will have access to internet; my living room, the kitchen, clean towels, clean bedsheets (arranged by the cleaner), the washing machine in the kitchen if needed. Interaction with GuestsI am on and off London so not sure to when I will be interacting with guests. I traveled the first half of the year to Latin America and planing on taking off to Asia this Autumn. I am myself a traveler and I do use Airbnb. s who knows I may exchange flats with some of my guests while away. However, you will be welcomed by my long term cleaning lady who will hand you the keys and who can answer any question regarding the flat. She can provide few hours cleaning if you are planing on staying long. The NeighborhoodThis apartment is in Marylebone/Mayfair area, which is the heart center of London. You are truly close from everywhere. But the area itself is worth a long visit. You are 1min walk from Marylebone high street (one of the best shopping streets in London but it is more boutique shopping than big shops. You will however find the big shops in Oxford Circus few minutes walk from Marylebone). The neighborhood is one very nice as it is very close to one of the prettiest parks in London; Regents Park and to the major tourist attractions (Madame Tussaud, British Museum, Regent street, Bukingham Palace...). Getting AroundYou are truly in center London and are between 2min to 10min to all tubes and buses that can take you anywhere in London (including airports). Baker street is 1min walk and has many buses lines. But if you prefer using tubes, then you can walk 7min to the baker st tube station where you can get Circle, Jubilee, Metropolitain or Bakerloo lines. Central line is another 7min walk from my place to bond st tube station. You are 5min walk from Oxford st with many buses lines and you are within walking distances from the major touristic distractions: Madame Tussaud (5min walk) Regent's Park (10min walk) Sherlock Holmes Museum (7min walk) Hyde Park (15min walk) Selfridge Store (5min walk) Oxford street (5min walk) Regent street (10min walk) Soho (15min walk) Piccadily Circus (15min walk) British Museum (20min walk) National Gallery (20min walk) Camden Town (25min walk through Regent park and the Regent canal=>Beautiful). Buckingham Palace (20min walk=>you can do it through Hyde Park). Direct tube lines to: Noting Hill/Portobelo Road (if you take Central line from Bond street tube station). Direct tube to East London: Liverpool street/Columbia Flower Market (if you take Central line East). Direct tube to st-Paul's Cathedral and the Tate Modern (if you take Central line0. Direct tube to Borough Market, London Towers and Canary Wharf (if you take Jubilee line south from Bond street station). Other Things to NoteThe rate stated is available for 2 adult people. extra people will pay £60 pounds per night. I can always negotiate if you are staying more than three nights. The flat is on the first floor of a historical building. My neighbour is a Japanese very quiet massage place so I am really keen on receiving nice, respectful, NOT noisy people.

The SpaceIn a fantastic location in the heart of Marylebone Village, moments from the eclectic shops and eateries on Marylebone High Street, and a five minute walk to Oxford Street, this good sized room for one is on the second floor of a beautiful three storey period building. The set-up of the house: there are 5 rooms in total for guests, and each room has its own lock and is independent of the other rooms, so that each guest is free to come and go as they please without disturbing the others. Guest AccessApart from their own room, guests will have access to the guest kitchen and the two guest bathrooms. The SpaceMinutes from Bond Street tube yet in a pretty, quiet cul-de-sac mews, this is an unusual opportunity to have your own 2-bedroom house in fashionable Marylebone village. Close to everything, yet still a peaceful retreat in the city hubbub. Exquisite 2-bedroom cottage in a quiet mews in the heart of Marylebone Village right in the absolute centre of London, less than 5 minutes walk from world-famous shops of Oxford Circus, Regent Street, Bond Street. Minutes from Bond St tube. Virtually everyone who walks through the door of Bentinck Cottage says they love it. It is a very unusual tranquil space because it is truly less then five minutes' walk from the world's most famous shopping street and yet being in a cul de sac mews, the acoustics are such that you can't hear anything. (Quieter than the countryside!) It is south facing with tall windows so it gets flooded with sunlight during the day. The large downstairs room is cosy and I have often hosted gatherings for over twenty people with talks for famous authors who have passed through London over the years. When I first bought the house and refurbished the place it was featured in a national Sunday newspaper. I am an author of best-selling books on healthy living so the house has a wonderful vibe and is decorated throughout with organic non-chemical eco paints. It has just been repainted with quiet neutral colours, giving it a fresh look for 2015. In addition to being in the bustling West End and walking distance from Theatreland and Royal Parks, you will be living in Marylebone Village which is now trendier and more interesting than its famous cousin Mayfair (you will recognise all the places from the expensive end of the Monopoly Board !) Endless great restaurants, bars & pubs; interesting shops & boutiques; really good grocery stores, delicatessens. wholefoods store and a Sunday organic Farmers' market too. Foodie heaven! BETTER THAN A HOTEL: you really have a bedroom as comfy as a hotel but with the use of a kitchen which helps keep costs down for breakfast, refreshments and meals AND you can do your own laundry which is expensive in a hotel. There is a "Pimag" energised water filtration machine so you don't have to buy bottled water. You will find the house a tranquil respite to your busy day out. There is Sky TV, bring your laptop with you and use the internet (no daily charge like a hotel) plug in your iPod and play your own music. And you have your own front door out into one of central London's quietest and quaintest mews settings. ACCESS & LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS: The house is always left ready so I can often accommodate last minute requests. You can access the key any time of day or night via a key safe on the wall outside, my housekeeper will make sure the house is ready and that beds are made up clean and fresh with 100% cotton linen. Your housekeeping charge covers the cost of the house being returned to its clean state ready for the next arrival. I am in and out of the house myself as I travel a great deal overseas and live in a country home in Yorkshire as well. BEDS: there is an (English) king size bed (5 ft) in the master bedroom with a magnetic mattress & pillows which supports deeper sleep & really helps to get rid of jet lag. There is a soft comforter-like cover over the mattress to make it extra soft (you can remove it if you wish). The bathroom and dressing room adjoin this room. Lots of big full length mirrors. Plus a hairdryer. The second bedroom has a single bed with another single stored underneath so you can make up a second double bed or a 3rd bed as another single in that room. Bedroom 2 has "Alice" who is a sculpture when the room is vacant and becomes a wardrobe when a guest arrives :-) There is an en-suite walk-in shower room for the 2nd bedroom. CHECK IN & OUT times: we need at least 4 hours to get the house ready for you. However, if I don't have a back to back booking, then these can be flexible as I appreciate if you are flying in/out of London then you may want access at different times. Please check with me. We can always arrange for you to drop off luggage in the morning and check in in the afternoon There's a very comfortable lounge, fully equipped kitchen and every kind of delicatessen you can think of just a couple of minutes walk from your stove. A whole top floor of the house for luggage storage and laundry. Lots of space. The best coffee shops 2-3 minutes from your doorstep. The house is yours to enjoy. The keys live in a key-safe mounted on the wall outside so you are free to arrive whenever you like. I am readily accessible by email. My London housekeeper can attend to any problems arising. Marylebone Village is unusual … imagine, a village community in the heart of London! The best shops and cafes … this is 'North' Mayfair but more fun and friendlier. It has become quite the hottest place to be in London. You can walk to so many of London's best sights. Bond Street tube station is just than five minutes walk. Piece of cake Why overcomplicate things? A stay at North Audley Street III is just so simple. Perfectly attuned to its purpose, all is light and bright, minimalist and modern. There’s an easy sophistication to the high ceilings and period features, an unfussy luxury to the vintage-style chairs, roll-top bath and immaculate bedroom. Perhaps you’ll pour a glass in the dusky kitchen, perhaps you’ll lounge on the squidgy couch, or perhaps you’ll admire the architecture through the window. Which reminds us. Sale of the century Think shopping, think Oxford Street. That’s what London does, lured by the flagship stores, the famous brands and the freedom to browse long into the evening. North Audley Street II is a tucked-away treasure, where the swoosh of shopping bags gives way to a happy sigh of satisfaction. Light and bright, cool and comforting, here you’ll find home in the heart of the city. Selfridges could hardly be closer, while the mild airs of Hyde Park are, of course, always on offer. Retail therapy Born in Trinidad, your host is an entrepreneur with interests in everything from beauty salons to events venues. In his spare time, you’ll find him firing down aces on a tennis court. All is calm and collected, starting in the graceful sitting room. Formally furnished, the ceilings are high and the plasterwork sophisticated. Subside into the deep sofa or period armchair with a glass of something cool, or glide over to the window and soak up the busy scene below. Members only There’s something of the feel of a gentlemen’s club about this home, a subtle masculinity that radiates from the wood panelled ensuite bathroom, the moody velvet of the sofa and the kitchen’s oaken gloss. Amidst such surroundings one cannot help but be decadent, and you’ll be glad of your close proximity to Bond Street’s designer shops, and to the dazzling bars and restaurants of Mayfair. Hit the casinos, dance the night away at Annabel’s or Mahiki… this home is right next to Oxford Street, but as peaceful as can be – and should you wish for a nightingale or two, you’re just a moonlit stroll from Berkley Square. True gent Your host works in the holiday industry, with interests in businesses all around the capital. Come summer, he’s often on the tennis court, dispatching his opponents with one heck of a serve. Behind closed doors Elegantly spare, but with enough in the way of fine detailing to leave you in no doubt that you’re in luxury’s lap, North Audley Street is a tremendous home. Like the best cologne, these interiors whisper rather than shout, a wide white sitting room with polished walnut floorboards and an original fireplace, a brand new kitchen opening out onto a bijoux balcony. There are just a few, perfectly chosen antiques, the inlaid dining table and the sitting room’s barley leg chairs, and there’s a selection of glorious coffee table books to peruse. The ensuite bathroom is opulent in white and matt black. And as for the bedroom, well, when a bed is this splendid, one really has no choice but to sleep late and long.
