TWO RECEPTION ROOMS The first of the two large reception rooms is a traditionally furnished space with beautiful antique furniture, polished wooden floors and large, sash windows with an interesting curved top. The room is light and airy and the light colours and comfortable sofa and chairs make this a great place for relaxing. The second reception room is equally as attractive – spacious and bright, with wooden floors, comfortable seating and subtle colours. The room is very fresh and open and the shuttered windows add an extra touch of elegance. There are two marble surround fireplaces on either side of the room - one with a modern flat screen television in front. CONSERVATORY The conservatory is a pretty room with coloured glass top windows, lots of plants and a writing desk. KITCHEN AND DINING AREA The kitchen is another treat – large and spacious with all the mod cons you’ll need for preparing an evening meal at home. There’s a dishwasher, refrigerator, double oven and hob, microwave and blender amongst other things! The kitchen opens out into the dining area making this a very adaptable and social space, perfect for sitting together as a family. The dining room looks out into the garden and the large, French windows at the back of the room really bring the outside in. The dining table is extendable and can seat up to 8 people. GARDEN Outside, the beautiful, mature garden with its wildlife, all day sun and shade and patio area really is the piece de resistance of this home. MASTER BEDROOM WITH EN SUITE The ‘emperor size’ master bedroom is a generous size and has lots of storage room for any purchases you might make from London’s various attractions. The lovely, calming green walls and decadent antique furniture give this room a restful ambience. The en-suite bathroom has a tiled bath with shower attachment overhead, heated towel rail and old fashioned style wash basin. DOUBLE BEDROOM The second double room is also of a very good size. The décor has a slightly 1960s feel to it with a funky, curved bedside cabinet and brown patterned rug. There are bookshelves in the corner of the room, brimming with a wide selection of books to keep you entertained. DOUBLE BEDROOM The third double room is similar in style to the master bedroom – dark, antique furniture with green walls and simple décor. This bedroom has the added feature of a wash basin in the corner of the room for extra convenience. SINGLE BEDROOM The single bedroom is a neat and compact room with a large sash window and a small writing desk. As the room is small and simple, it would be great for a young child or young adult wanting their own space or it could even be used a study area. FAMILY BATHROOM The family bathroom has a bath, shower overhead, W.C. Bidet and sink. The walls are yellow with some blue tiling which makes for a bright and colourful room. Additional amenities include: coffee maker, blender/juicer, hob, normal TV, desk, plates and cutlery, glasses, ironing board. The security deposit is refundable at the end of the stay. This family home rests on a quiet, tree-lined residential street. For open, green space to explore, Whittington Park is close by. Elegant Islington is a desirable residential area north of central London that stretches from Islington High Street to Highbury Fields and includes the busy Upper Street district. There are a plethora of charming homes which cater perfectly for both small and large families. Dating back to the Domesday Book and predominantly built during the 19th century, it boasts some of the most elegant Georgian terraced streets and Victorian squares in the city including Lonsdale Square which has a beautiful garden at its centre. With a mixture of cultural shops, pubs and cafés, Islington is a favourite drinking and dining spot for many. The high street, historically located along Camden Passage in the village of Islington, has since been eclipsed by the more modern Upper Street, although people will still head here for the antiques market and boutiques. You’ll find intriguing vintage shops nestled between the fashionable shops in this area, and do look out for the Banksy masterpieces as you stroll the streets. Islington is definitely an area for the foodie too, with cuisine from all around the world on offer. There’s a fantastic arts scene in Islington - also known as the capital’s alternative theatre land - and it caters for both movie buffs and theatre lovers alike. There is an independent cinema and two reputable theatres in the area, notably Sadler’s Well's which showcases world-class dance, the Almeida Theatre or the Little Angel Theatre for performances to entertain the children. For couples or families wanting a unique city break in an area packed with style and close to the centre, Islington is a great choice. Daydream believers Gracious and grand, Milton Park is the home that many desire but few will attain. Fifteen-foot high ceilings, lovely original features and a Farrow and Ball colour palette give these rooms an ethereal lightness, a delicacy that’s only grounded by an array of contemporary furniture. The tones are subtle and the lines are clean – this home speaks of its Edwardian origins not through clutter but through its class. Highgate is one of the greenest parts of London, with a heath, a wood and a number of much-loved parks. Take your book for a stroll in the sunshine or hunker down over a bowl of soup in an artisan café. It turns out that heaven really is a place on earth. Top of the tree Your hosts have been lavishing their affection upon Milton Park for fifteen years. He’s a biochemist at the Foreign Office and she’s a management consultant. Three wishes A home to sate your most ardent desires, you’ll be bowled over by the attention to detail in every single room. The sitting room, on the ground floor, is utterly simple, with its wooden shutters, caramel floors and flowing iron fireplace. The dining room is similarly pared back, with space for eight to eat beneath the chandelier and some funky retro chairs. The kitchen has a double height ceiling and an enormous oven, and the patio garden is pleasingly tangled with ivy. All four bedrooms are doubles, with a family bathroom on both the first and the second floor. The master bedroom resembles a suite in a country house hotel, with fine antique furniture, another chandelier and oodles of floor space. And even the best hotels would struggle to provide such an enormous ensuite, tiled in warm sandstone, and with both a walk-in power shower and a traditional roll-top bath. In luck Highgate has some of the best pubs in London, where you can sip real ale in wood panelled rooms or tuck into a hot beef pie. Head down to Hampstead for designer shops and snazzy restaurants, or stay closer to home for cute cafes and independent grocers. Lose yourself in Highgate Wood, or pay a call on Karl Marx, sleeping beneath the moss of Highgate Cemetery. The tube from Highgate to Leicester Square takes around twenty minutes. Additional amenities include: iron & ironing board, hob, toiletries, coffee machine, cafetiere, music player, hairdryer, onefinestay iphone. Cancellation Policy No-quibble cool-off period. Provided you book more than seven days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking no questions asked within 24 hours of making it, and we will refund 100% of any charges. Early cancellation. If you cancel at least 2 weeks before you are due to arrive, we will charge you 50% of the cost of your stay. Late cancellation. We’ll be as flexible as we can if you need to cancel. However, once you’re within two weeks of the start of your stay, we can’t refund your booking. If you have any immediate questions, please contact us directly.

Its not quite central but your not far from the usual sights although the local area is full of culture for you to explore. I'll give you a guide of some favorite places in Highgate, Crouch End and Hampstead as there are a few lesser known spots. you could spend quite some time just local. Getting AroundNearest busses are 4 minutes walk to Crouch End with bus 91 via Kings Cross to Trafalger Square, the most useful. Archway is the main travel hub with the Northern Line and busses 134, 390 and others taking you into town every 7-12 mins all night. There are a few hills in this area if you walk / cycle. Again, I'll have a guide for you with instructions and directions. Other Things to NoteJust behind the block is the pleasant Parkland Walk; a disused rail route which goes from old Highgate station to Finsbury Park. There are excellent pubs, restaurants and shops in Highgate, Crouch End and Archway with a great mix of people.

There are also several nearby parks, including the award-winning Waterlow Park, Highgate Wood and the parkland walk that takes in Muswell Hill, Crouch Hill, Alexandra Palace and Finsbury Park. The SpaceHave a country and capital-city break all-in one!!! Romantic and different! Beautiful, spacious Yurt with solid wood floor and Persian rugs overlooking ancient woodland, yet TWO minutes walk to London underground with Piccadilly Circus 25 minutes away! We think our Yurt is the ultimate city-camping experience in the world! There is a separate toilet, sink (NOTE: cold water only) and separate hot shower in a yurt-adjacent building, and you will have your own private garden entrance. Inside the Yurt there is a double sofa-bed and up to 2 single mattresses, a wood-burning stove, electricity and internet connection. There is a small fridge, kettle and toaster. There are NO other cooking facilities. A simple breakfast is provided: this often includes fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt and bread. We provide tea and good coffee! Local gnomes spirit away your washing-up each day and return it sparkling. There is often the sound of owls at night, squirrels scampering on the roof and a few foxes (who we discourage!). Our two kittens/cats, Rocky and Flash, will be happy to come and visit you if invited! (Or even if not invited...!) Please note: if you are allergic to cats, then I'm afraid it is advisable NOT to book the Yurt, as the kittens leap in and out of the Yurt, and this may be a problem if you have allergies. The Yurt has twice taken part in London's Open House and it was voted one of the top ten attractions!! BBC Radio London did a live broadcast from inside the Yurt and we are frequently photographed by the local, influential newspaper the Ham and High, about events we have held. Two pop-up kitchen events hosted by Ms MarmiteLover the founder of the entire underground kitchen movement in London, have been held in the Yurt. Children are welcome, but must be looked after by parent(s) at all times. In fact, if parents are keen to give kids a city-cultural experience ....and they are just a little reluctant to be dragged round galleries/museums because they just want to camp and play, staying in the Yurt can work for everyone! It's the ultimate city-camping experience and takes 'glamping' onto a new level! In case you're worried - it's VERY warm and dry, but DON'T expect super-luxury. It's lots of fun...and you may never want to live on dry land again.... But PLEASE remember, you are NOT staying in a house or flat, so it is as luxurious and comfortable as we think it can possibly be - but in the end it is a form of very comfortable camping. You are outside a lot and English weather is unpredictable. It will take YOU a little more effort than usual to live in this way - we think it's more than worth it - but PLEASE CONSIDER CAREFULLY if this is the kind of break you want! (i.e. when it's hot…there is no air conditioning or a fan as this would cause too much stress to the electrical supply…and we think that camping and air conditioning doesn't go together even if we could provide it! However, when it's cold outside, then the Yurt is nice and warm so we believe in this level of comfort!!) The Yurt is in Highgate - a beautiful neighbourhood with woods, atmosphere and history- so nice that Karl Marx is buried nearby in the renowned Highgate cemetery and George Michael/Jude Law/Terry Gilliam live a short stroll away. Great pubs are on our doorstep as well as shops and restaurants: definitely the nearest Yurt in the world to a tube, and the only one available in London to visit and stay in. Come home after a hard-days sightseeing and culture to a roaring wood-burning stove and a night lit by stars!

The SpaceThe space is comfortable but also highly eccentric and ideal for a couple looking for a city break. Passing through a fairly shabby front door and corridor you find a lift which only serves our flat (there are also stairs if you prefer), the lift opens into the middle of the sitting room. The space itself is very bright and airy with high windows on both sides and a maisonette bedroom, we have installed large sliding panels so that the maisonette can be closed off into a self contained room, if there are people staying in the spare room, or just if you want to make it a bit cosier. We have a projector, high quality speakers and a large screen which you are welcome to use (you will need to bring your own lap top to play movies on though, its easy to hook the lap top up to the speakers and projector) and plenty of books to read. The on-suit bathroom has a jacuzzi bath and a steam room function in the shower. We have converted the space above the lift head into a kind of day bed for relaxing on (see pic). There are 2 beautiful east facing balconies and a large roof terrace, we also have a BBQ you can use, a large fridge, oven, gas hob and all the usual kitchen utensils. The flat is extremely secure with an interface telecom system and locks on all the doors and windows. Interaction with GuestsMonica and I will be on hand to meet and greet you when you arrive and wave goodbye when you leave. If you are just coming for the weekend we will be staying nearby, so will be able to help with anything and make sure everything goes smoothly. If you are coming for longer we will always be a phone call away and will make sure a friendly person is around to take care of anything you may need or want to ask. The NeighborhoodIt's a fantastic London neighborhood. There are plenty of great restaurants and pubs nearby. These are a few of our favorites (all less than 10 minuets walking distance) - Pubs: The Faltering full back, one of my favorite pubs in London, always busy and a great atmosphere, open late on weekends with a spectacular garden and tasty Thai kitchen. (URL HIDDEN) - The Landseer, great food and a quieter vibe -The Swimmers, smaller and more intimate but busy on weekends, excellent selection of beers. Restaurants: - Cristals, the best Turkish food in north London, it looks a bit rough and ready and is reasonably priced but the food is delicious. - Jai Krishna, fantastic vegetarian Indian, very reasonable and you can bring your own drinks. - Osteria Tufo, a bit more up market award winning Italian food. - St Johns Tavern, classic English pub food also a bit more expensive but an excellent kitchen (I used to work there!). - The Front Room Cafe, perfect place for breakfast. We also have a small park and playground a few minuets away, but one of Londons biggest parks, and the most beautiful, Hampstead Heath is about 20 minuets away on public transport (10 mins on a bike). In summer there are out door ponds to swim in and plenty of traditional pubs to visit after a long walk. Finsbury Park is also a 15 min walk away. There are lots of colourful local shops and weekend markets on Seven Sisters Road and Fonthill Rd and buses to the nearby bars, clubs and markets of east London. There are also plenty of local food shops on our street, including an excellent Turkish grocery store and there is a news agents with an ATM machine directly below our flat. Getting AroundWe are well connected. The 91 bus stops right outside the apartment. It runs all night and goes into central London, 25 mins to Leicester Square. From Seven Sisters Road at the end of our street there are buses to Camden Town, and there are buses to Shorditch and Dalston on Holloway road which is a 5-10 min walk away. Finsbry Park station on the Piccadilly and Victoria tube lines is about a 10 - 15 min walk away and from there its less than 10 mins on the tube to get into the center of town, and Archway on the Northern line is also about a 10-15 min walk from the flat. The 210 bus also stops near by and takes you to Hampstead Heath, but you can also take the overground train from Holloway Rd to Hampstead Heath. Other Things to NoteIf you are just coming for the weekend we will not take all our cloths out of the wardrobe but some draws will be provided for you. besides weekends we will be looking to rent for 2 weeks in june from the 13th to the 27th and for a month in the summer from around the 20th of July to the 20th of August, If you are booking for a long amount of time we will be able to offer a considerable discount.

We think it is most comfortable for 2-3 people as if you choose to sleep 4, 2 people will sleep on the double futon in the living room and it may seem small! There is TV and wifi, and the kitchen has anything you would need to cook with as well as a washing machine and fridge / freezer. We do not have a microwave. There is an iron and ironing board, kettle, toaster, and hair dryer. Clean sheets and towels will be provided. The 'unique feature' in the flat is that the shower is actually in the bedroom which some people find a bit strange, but the shower is actually really great with excellent water pressure and nice hot water! Also, we've put up a curtain so if you do love your privacy, don't worry, you can have that too! There are 5 bedrooms in the house; 2 double bedrooms (one super king sized), 2 bedrooms with single beds, 1 bedroom with a set of bunk beds, and a comfortable double sofa bed, sleeping a total of 10 people. All the beds have crisp cotton ironed sheets. Nearby you can walk on Hampstead Heath, have coffee in Highgate village or visit the restaurants of Islington and great local pubs all within walking distance or a few bus stops away. There is a large bathroom with powerful shower, separate toilet downstairs, the house is stocked with fluffy towels, bathroom products and a hairdryer. The large garden is particularly unusual for London and it has a fort, slide and swing set and a new addition is a large trampoline which is a great hit with kids. There is an orchard in the garden with 12 apples trees. There is a good selection of toys and children's books, a cot, highchair etc. if needed. We have high speed broadband (8mbps), Virgin Media TV, off street parking and all the usual mod cons (washer, separate dryer, dishwasher). There is a lovely bakery at the end of Mercers Road and a supermarket 3 minutes walk away for food supplies and fresh bread. Cleaner available and milk is delivered by our milk man. We will leave a manual of restaurant suggestions. Do have a look at our reviews... thank you

The SpaceMy flat is tucked away in a quiet gated community just off the lively Holloway Road. I think the flat is really well located, you can walk to leafy Hampstead Heath in 30mins or get a bus and be there in 10. Likewise you are a 10 minute bus ride from the upmarket Upper Street and a 10 minute bus ride to Camden Town if dive bars are more your thing. For the die-hard Hipsters Shoreditch, Dalston and Brick-Lane are all within 20 mins via bus, trains or tubes depending on your preference. I work in the heart of the West End and it takes about 30 mins to get to Soho. In the local area there are lots of little gastro pubs ideal for a Sunday lunch or evening meal. Such as The St Johns or The Junction. It's a very vibrant and diverse area. I tend to frequent the local Turkish cafes if I eat out locally. I'm advertising the space as a 1 bed that fits two people but the lounge is very large and I have a thin mattress ( IKEA topper) so if there are more of you you are welcome to have a 3rd on the sofa in the Living room (mind there are no blinds so sunrise will be an issue) or have the additional mattress on the bedroom floor which in this case would sleep 4-5 Guest AccessThe flat itself is big and clean with wifi and SKY TV. There's a washing machine which you can use. I'll provide bread and spreads and fruit with yoghurt and granola for breakfast. They'll be eggs and cheese in the fridge if you wish to make something more exotic for yourself. The large double room has it's own balcony which is large enough to sit out on. You're free to smoke there too. You will also have you own large bathroom which only has a shower but you are welcome to use the bath in the shared bathroom if you wish. I'll provide towels and linen. Interaction with GuestsI work in Film and tend to work long hours Monday to Friday and am often not around at the weekend so I probably won't be around that much but I'll set you up with all the local and wider info you need before you arrive and hopefully we'll have a chance to chat over a glass of wine. I love travelling and have been to many places and love to be regaled in intrepid tales

The SpaceThe St. John's B&B in London offers 3 inviting guest rooms in an elegant Victorian townhouse, all stylishly decorated and equipped with heating, a TV and Wi-Fi service. There is a sink in 2 of the bedrooms, a shared shower room and a bathroom. Guests are welcome to relax in the sitting room or kitchen or have a barbecue out in the garden. The kitchen has just been renovated ,with carrera quartz surfaces and clean white cabinets. The bed and breakfast is situated less than a 10-minute walk from Hampstead Heath, perhaps one of London's most beautiful parks, as well as the charming village of Highgate, which is full of traditional pubs. Excellent bus and tube links make it easy to get to nearby Camden as well as Leicester Square in the heart of London's Theatre-land. It really is convenient in terms of how quickly you can be in town ,as the tube station is so close to the house ,you are not spending all day getting from A to B. I am looking to rent the house out for the whole of august and maybe july too if anyone is interested in renting for a longer time!! Guest AccessGuests are welcome to relax in the sitting room, make lovely family/group meals in the kitchen or sit out in the garden and have a bbq. Interaction with GuestsWhen I rent the whole house ,I usually meet and greet and explain how the house works, I then leave them to enjoy their holiday, I can be contactable if needed!! The NeighborhoodArchway Is brilliant for public transport. It is a busy hub that has lots of character, and is in walking distance to parks, pubs/cafe's and in 20 mins I can be in the centre of town. Highgate is 10 mins walk with lots of restaurants and pubs and backs off onto hampstead heath, a wonderful park with swimming ponds. It is by no means as posh as highgate ! but I love archway for its busyness and great transept links… also a few nice pubs!! Getting AroundThe b&b is 2 mins walk from Archway tube station which is on the northern line, and can take you straight to leister square or charring cross and the min attractions of London Town. Parking is not included I'm afraid. From Stansted I usually get the national express bus to golders green and get the 210 bus from there to Archway. From Heathrow you can get the picadilly line to leister square, and change to the northern line (towards high barnet) to Archway. I have a little booklet ,which has a little info on which bus to get where ,if you fancy seeing london by bus as opposed to the tube!! Other Things to Notefrom the tube station , you cross towards starbucks, then cross again to the left. follow the road straight to a row of victorian houses to the right and we are number 20 green door
