My flat is situated on a 5th floor right by the river Thames, with a view of the river from the room, and the area is a very quiet and residential, with a lot of green areas. Kitchen is available only for breakfast (included), with a Dolce Gusto coffee machine for you to help yourself. In the evenings, you're very welcome to have dinner with us at no extra cost. Let us know what you'd like in advance. Transportation is 20 min. to Westminster with the Jubilee line, also 20 min. to Stratford for Westfield City shopping center. There's a great walk along the river, and if you like you can walk up to Tower Bridge and beyond, or take one of the buses and or tube and get anywhere in London in a short time. WiFi is available free of charge. A netbook is also available for guest use at no extra charge. Hairdryer and toiletries available. Fresh bed linen and towels provided. We're gay friendly. The SpaceI've stayed in a self- contained apartment nearby for which I paid £90 per night. It was modern and looked secure, however once I arrived I realised I was directly facing a Council Flat estate and the street and surrounding area was noisy, felt unsafe as the streets aren't well lit, and a bit grotty. In contrast my apartment is safe and secure, and unlike other apartments advertised as being in Canary Wharf, my apartment is actually located within the estate, and not surrounding east London area. It's only around 5 mins to the tube. It is fully fitted with luxury appliances. The main feature is the breathtaking views, the photos don't do it justice. So even though it is only one bedroom it feels very spacious and the large windows provide a wide view of the river, skyline, and city lights. A highlight is watching the glorious sunrise and set every day. The apartment is most suitable for a single person, and the bedroom and lounge only has a partition wall and no door. Business travellers preferred. NB: Price as listed. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the whole apartment without having to share. The NeighborhoodCanary Wharf is a luxurious location, with access to London Bridge, Greenwich, & Southbank via riverboat. Canary Wharf Pier is only 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Canary Wharf has it's own shopping malls, and restaurants, and striking architecture. Walking or running along the pier and around the estate is a real pleasure. Getting AroundYou're also only 5 minutes walk to Canary Wharf tube which gets you into Bond St directly via Jubilee Line.

One of my personal favourites is Ian McKellen's pub and restaurant 'The Grapes.' (URL HIDDEN) Getting AroundThe apartment is in an ideal location with easy access to Central London. The nearest station is Westferry which is 3 minutes' walk and then only 3 stops to Bank Station in the heart of the City of London and has links to many London Underground lines. Boris bikes are located just outside the door and enable you to cycle into the city at your leisure. There are lots of easy bus routes into central London leaving from just outside the door. Canary Wharf and the Jubilee line are just 15 minutes' walk.

The local area is just wonderful place to spend your time whenever you just want to stay local. The flat is just perfect for family stay, lots of toys for yang child/children. The flat has everything that is needed for your stay. Large shopping centre within 15minutes walk. Few great pubs and restaurants within 5-15min walk. River boat station less then 12min walk. The building is located on the south of the River Thames with small outdoor GYM just outside. The building has CCTV and intercom. Great river walking path with dock with a lot of boats. Everything is just great around here. I have lived in this area for about 15 years and its just great place to be. Bus stop is just outside, takes about 5 min to get to the underground station Canada Water which can take you to centre of London in 15 min. You can get to Greenwich or Tower Bridge in just about 20 minutes by bus. Getting AroundBus stop is just outside, takes about 5 min to get to the underground station Canada Water which can take you to centre of London in 15 min. Walking to the underground station is about 15 min and its just wanderfull walk. Boat can take you on other side of the river just in 5 minutes, so its just 20 min all together from Canary Wharf. Other Things to NoteSmoking Allowed only on balcony. There is free secure parking available.

      The SpaceYou will have the exclusive use of my bedroom for the duration of your stay. Comfortably fits two people. There is a double bed with a super-comfy pocket sprung mattress. Clean sheets and towels are provided. There is plenty of space for suitcases, space to hang your clothes in the wardrobe if required. The flat has been recently refurbished so is in great condition throughout! You will have access to a fully kitted-out kitchen to help keep your food costs down! This includes gas cooker, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, pots & pans, utensils, cutlery and crockery. Plus a dining table and chairs. There is a bathroom with a bath, shower, sink and toilet. You are welcome to use your shower gel, soap, shampoo etc. - although if you prefer to use your own obviously that's no problem! A washing machine (plus detergent etc.) is provided, and there is an airing cupboard with a rack that can be used to dry the clothes pretty quickly. We also have storage space for two bicycles - if required! On street parking is available outside the flat, which is free on evenings and on weekends (from 5.30pm Friday to 9am Monday). However, there is usually quite a lot of cars parked up, so finding a space can sometimes be time-consuming. If you are travelling by car let us know in advance and we will provide some further guidance. Finally, you will have your own set of keys so you can come and go as you please 24 hours a day! The only areas that are off-limits are the other bedroom, and some of the storage (drawers etc) in the room itself. Depending on when you come to visit, stay either me or my flatmate will be around (and probably staying in the other bedroom). We will give you a quick guided tour of the flat (won't take long!), show you the local area (including how to get to the nearest tube stations and bus stops) and, if needed, offer up ideas for things to see and do during your stay. However we also appreciate your right to privacy, so will leave you to come and go as you please without interference once the introduction is out of the way! The local neighbourhood is relatively quiet housing estate, comprising several blocks of flats, and a mix of families and young professionals. We have not had any issues with noise from the neighbours since the day we moved in. The neighbourhood sits just over the road from capitalism's shining citadel Canary Wharf. Here you will find literally hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. Safe to say you will never be stuck finding somewhere to eat, although deciding which one to go for is another matter! There are many supermarkets and convenience stores where you can pick up food, drink and beer most hours of the day. We'll show you where these are once you arrive. Your nearest tube station is Westferry (DLR) - 3 mins walk from the front door. Although this may look slightly out of the way on the tube map, the transport links are surprisingly good! Bank/Monument station only 7-8 minutes away on the DLR. From there you can access the Central, Northern, District, Circle and Waterloo & City lines, which can take you pretty much everywhere in Central London. Alternatively change at Shadwell (4 mins journey time) to the Overground and you have easy access to Shoreditch, Dalston, Islington and Clapham. You can visit the Olympic park by taking the DLR from All Saints station (5 mins walk, then 8 mins tube), or head south for a day out in beautiful Greenwich. Canary Wharf tube station is around 10 mins walk away, and gives you fast direct access to the South Bank and the West End via the Jubilee line. Daytime buses - the two main routes which go from Westferry (2 mins walk from flat) are D3 to Whitechapel / Bethnal Green; and the 135 to Brick Lane / Aldgate / Liverpool Street / Shoreditch / Old Street. Night buses - N15, N550 and N551 all start from Trafalgar Square and go past on the main road via St Paul's, Bank and Aldgate. Cycle route CS3 is about 50 metres away from the front door, so if you own a bike you have an easy route to Tower Hill (takes less than 10 minutes) then onwards into Central London. If you don't own a bike there's a Boris Bike dock less than a minute's walk away (Thornfield House). I can also recommend a cycle up the nearby canalside paths that lead up to Hackney and Stratford. A drunken scoot back from Crate Brewery at Hackney Wick with a belly full of their delicious pizza has to be done at some point in your life. Just make sure you keep the bike outta the wet stuff. Canary Wharf pier is about 7 mins walk from the front door, where you can take the frequent Thames Clipper boats up or down river. That way you get to travel up into Central London without having to get on a stuffy tube, and you get some ace views of the major landmarks on the way! Finally if you're flying in from overseas you can get from London City Airport to our front door in around 15 mins via the DLR. Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead and the other London airports are a bit more tricky. Best simply heading towards central London then taking the tube. In the kitchen, we will have a selection of tea, coffee, milk and sugar which you can help yourselves to free of charge. If you're lucky you may even find a couple of beers in there too! For breakfast, we also have toast, jam, marmalade and margarine which you are welcome to eat. We understand the importance of a good solid breakfast to set you up for a hard day's sightseeing!

      The SpaceThe apartment is at the top of the building on the 5th and 6th floors with lift access and with superb views of the river from all the rooms. The 5th floor has a large lounge with sofas and a separate dining area with splendid views overlooking the river. Adjoining the lounge is a large fitted kitchen which you’re welcome to use for light meals and contains a fridge freezer, oven/hob, washing machine, toaster, coffee maker. The room is on the 6th floor next to the mezzanine from where you can relax and view the river. It’s south facing with an en-suite bathroom containing shower, sink and toilet. There are floor to ceiling windows with a wonderful views of the river below as it flows towards Greenwich. There is a built-in wardrobe and separate chest of drawers. You can find Tesco (open until 11pm every day), Subway, Pret a Manger just a stone's throw away from the building. Getting AroundA 5-minute walk to South Quay DLR Station, from where you can go directly to Bank Station in Central London just in 15 minutes. From Bank Station you can change for Central, Northern, District and Circle Lines, so basically you can go anywhere from there: Camden Town, Notting Hill, Kensington High Street and Oxford Circus (great locations for shopping), Westminster (House of the Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye), Trafalgar Square, Harrods, etc. Perfect location if you want to attend an event at the O2 Arena (only one tube stop away via Jubilee Line) There are as well few buses: 135 - Shoreditch - great lively area where the most important clubs and markets are located.         The SpaceI have a beautiful, clean and tidy double bedroom, on a 13th floor apartment overlooking the River Thames, with a view of the London skyline. I am going on vacations for the time that the room is available so the guest will share the flat with my beloved housemates (Italian investment banker guy who is really easy going and an Italian Chef girl who works mostly the whole day but when you will find them around you will always feel welcome since they are really pleasant personalities. Guest AccessYou will have your own private room, shared bathroom and Kitchen. Getting AroundThe apartment is one of the closest residential buildings to Canary Wharf. There are great amenities nearby, including London Underground (Canary Wharf) 10' walk, DLR (Heron Quays) 5' walk, Nightbuses, and day buses literally just outside the building. All these transport links allow you to access most of London very easily and quickly 9' by tube to London Bridge. A Tesco express close to the apartment building allows you to pick up any groceries you may need.

On your right on Hertsmere Road you will pass The Dockmasters House, this listed 3 storey Georgian building is home to an excellent Indian restaurant of the same name. A 14 minute walk from Westferry Station along Limehouse Causeway and then Narrow Street (follow the blue cycle path west after leaving the station) takes you to the Limehouse Basin which is the starting point of both the Regent's Canal which heads west through North London, and the Limehouse Cut canal which heads towards Three Mills near the Olympic Site. On its way to Limehouse Basin, Narrow Street passes several historic riverside warehouses and also The Grapes public house which features in Dickens's Our Mutual Friend and has a renowned fish restaurant upstairs. At the mouth of Limehouse Basin is Gordon Ramsay's gastro-pub The Narrow. A turning to the right about 3 minutes into this route is Three Colts Street which leads to the maritime church of St Anne's Limehouse (9 minutes from the station), designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor in the 18th century and Grade I listed it flies the White Ensign from its flagpole (a flag normally only flown by the Royal Navy) and has the highest church clock in London.

Getting AroundThe apartment is super well located for lots of different transport options. Westferry DLR is a 2 minute walk away which will take you to Bank station in less then 10 minutes. In 5 minutes you can walk to the river where you can get a boat from Canary Wharf into Embankment or London Bridge - our preferred mode of transport when not on our bikes! If you wish to cycle, There are lots of docking stations for the london self service, bike sharing scheme right on our doorstep and a great cycle all the way up the canal. Lastly, there are tonnes of different bus stops and routes nearby.

It is very well connected with Canary Wharf (2 min by metro/DLR) or walking approx 2 min to the neighbourhood of Canary Wharf. It is in a clean flat with 3 other (URL HIDDEN) with super friendly Europeans. 1 min to station, shops, gym, river Thames.Book now! It is also very easy to get to the famous Gherkin, Liverpool Street, Brick Lane, and the famous East London Markets, Spitalfields Market, Petticoat Lane and the Jack the Ripper tours if you like that sort of thing :) — see it in the pictures since it is only a few minutes on the DLR or a short bus ride away from the flat. The room has 1 large bed for one person only, ideally located in Westferry close to Canary Wharf, zone 2, 1 minute to Westferry DLR station which is like a metro but overground. 1 minute away from the river Thames, 2 min to gym, cinema, various bars and restaurants, and a lovely shopping area. The NeighborhoodVesuvio Cafe is an Italian cafe just outside my front door and has delicious food. Thames path is 2 minutes walk from my front door and offers amazing views over London. This is also a great place for a jog in the morning (if you're feeling energetic). Getting AroundWestferry DRL (District Light Railway) is 3 minutes walk away with fast connections into Central London (25 minutes to Oxford Circus). Canary Wharf is 5/10 minutes walk away. The Jubilee underground line is 10 minutes walk away. Riverboats are also available from Canary Wharf Pier to central London in 25 minutes. It's a great way to see London from the river! Thames Path offers lovely scenic walking routes and for those travelling with young kids there is a playground across the street and a city farm 5 min walk away (free entry). There are a few pubs and restaurants on Rotherhite Street and the C10 bus will take you to Canada Water for Jubilee Line or on the other direction to Rotherhite Overground Station. Also a short bus ride away is the Surrey Quays shopping centre with a large Tesco, Odeon cinema, bowling and restaurants. Getting AroundRiverboat - Hilton Ferry links to Canary Wharf and Thames Clipper commuter service will take you east towards Greenwhich or west to Central London. Bus - C10 bus stop just outside, links to Canada Water Underground, Rotherhithe Overground Station, Surrey Quays shopping, restaurants, cinema. Interaction with GuestsYou will share the apartment with me :-) I have my own bedroom and bathroom on the floor above from yours (the apartment is on 2 different floors: your room & bathroom is on the lower floor, my room & bathroom is on the floor above). Getting AroundThere are 3 tube/metro stations within 10 minutes walk from the apartment: Heron Quays (on dlr line), Canary Wharf (on jubilee line), South Quay (on dlr line). The 3 stations serve all central London with direct line to the City and all major tourist attractions. Direct line to: Bank, Big Ben, Westminster Cathedral, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, etc. I will provide you with additional information and directions once you make a booking.
