To keep a low impact on the neighborhood, we ask that guests use the private entry to the property in the rear alleyway. The garden is a shared space and we welcome you to enjoy the garden, it's California :)

If you need anything you can reach us via phone or text :) The NeighborhoodLess than 5% of homes in LA County have a Walkscore® of 90 or above. Apartment Expo scores a 90, located in the "Culver Junction", the area immediately surrounding the Expo Line train station. Venice Boulevard is a busy thoroughfare with a bike lanes and buses, connecting to Venice Beach (west) and to Downtown LA (east).
One block south we cross into Culver City and reach Washington Boulevard, which is the best option to walk the immediate neighborhood. Head west on Washington, and you will reach downtown Culver City, head east and you are in the Culver City Arts District including the Helms Bakery.
Over 500 restaurants also deliver to Apt Expo via the Door Dash app or website. Over 70 bars and restaurants within .6 miles of Apt expo. Getting AroundTons of options, I use all of them personally... For example Venice beach, I might catch the bus, departs every 10 minutes via 2 lines, get there in about 20-30 minutes, less than the time it can take to find a parking spot, which runs $20.00+. Or, take the metro to Santa Monica, grab a city bike and head there, or just bike there in a half hour, lastly I often Uber to Venice for around $10.00, and rarely drive there with my own car. This long scenario holds true for getting to most places in LA from Apt Expo, lots of great options depending on your personal situation and preferences. We are happy to point you in the right direction if you have any questions.
If you are an experienced driver and good navigator this is a superb location to get to all the best parts of the LA, and parking is included. The onramp(s)/exit(s) to the Interstate 10 is minutes away.
Driving in LA can be a pain to say the least, parking, traffic, and the sheer complexity and size of the highway/road network are enough to consider skipping a car rental all together. You can get by, and even flourish without a car from this location, which is one of the main reasons we purchased this property. Aside from the great places outside your doorstep to walk to, the Metrorail station is directly across the street. Trains depart every 6-12 minutes in both directions; going west you’re in Santa Monica within 20 minutes, going east takes you to Downtown LA in 25 minutes. During rush hour the train is exponentially faster than driving. Even further out destinations such as Disneyland, Universal Studios, and even San Diego can be reached via other trains, which are connected directly to the Metro Expo Line.
Uber and Lyft rideshare mobile apps are great solutions for getting around in LA where the trains do not connect and most often cost much less than Taxi. Using these services in combination with the metroline gets you virtually everywhere in the city for a reasonable cost. During non peak hours Venice beach, Hollywood, Beverly Hills runs about $10.00 from the apartment, $20-$30 for LAX or Getty Center, further out destinations such as Disneyland and Six Flags Magic Mountain would be in the $60-$70.00 range. The apps provide flat fares in advance, so you can always check ahead of time and even schedule rides in advance.
Culver City Bus and Metro Bus also run directly to Venice Beach and many other locations, 1-5 Min walk to bus stop(s), $1.75 one way.
There are dedicated bike lanes that run to Venice Beach and Downtown LA, and even a dedicated bike path which you can ride from the apartment all the way to the beach, as far out as Malibu or Redondo Beach and Beyond for the hardcore cyclists or more adventurous ebikers. You can also rent bikes at the Santa Monica Metrorail station, and bike to Venice Beach.
Lastly, the neighborhood his highly walkable and great fun to explore by foot. Everything including markets, cafes, bars, highly acclaimed restaurants, hole in the wall restaurants, taco trucks, gyms, movie theatre, live theatres, art galleries, bank, pharmacy, movie studios, and more all within easy walking distance from the apartment, no more than 1-15 minute walk.
