The NeighborhoodCarpenter Cottage is located in Plumosa Park, a Point Loma District within San Diego. The area is replete with charming and historical homes. Plumosa Park is a neighborhood noted for its beautiful and bountiful holiday decorations and the Annual Festival of Lights Luminaria display, a Christmas Eve tradition since 1956. Experience its wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars, grocery stores, fitness studios, golf courses, waterfront parks, shopping, entertainment and much, much more, all within a short drive. Getting AroundThere is plenty of free residential street parking. Getting around is easy and convenient: Airport 3.1 miles, S.D. Convention Center 5.4 miles, S.D. You can get to almost any tourist destination with a combination of buses, trolley, and walking. Old Town Transit Center is one mile away and accessible by a 12 minute walk to the bus stop 0.6 miles and a 10 minute bus ride to the Transit Center., and/or download on your smartphone LYFT or UBER for an inexpensive alternative. Other Things to Note***The San Diego Airport is close by and we are on the flight path. The airport has a curfew meaning the last plane to take off is at 11:30 pm and the first airplane to take off is 6:30 am. We provide earplugs and a white noise clock radio for those of you who are sensitive to the airplanes. We also can hear Sea World's fireworks in the spring and summer months around 10 pm. Other than that it is a quiet residential area with the occasional dog barking.
