The SpacePerfect for a relaxing break away for guests who like their own cosy space and something a little different. The lodge is constructed in pine which gives a lovely fresh aroma making it very welcoming and an open plan living space with electric storage heaters for heating in the colder months. It has a comfy double bed with duvets and quilts and bedside cabinets with a hair dryer. All bedding and towels are provided. The ensuite bathroom has a sink with a instant hot water tap and a Electric shower and a toilet. In the living area there are two comfortable armchairs for relaxing and watching TV and a coffee table with books and magazines. A small dining table and chairs set, a kettle, fridge and microwave and crockery enables guests to make their own breakfasts. Please note there is not a kitchen so washing up has to be done camping style. The living space has double doors leading onto the veranda which overlooks the garden. This is perfect for sitting and whiling away a few hours with a book or glass of wine and watching the birds and occasionally visiting deer. The lodge has it's own area of garden and is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. Parking is available in front of the main house with a short walk past the house up a gravel path to the Lodge. There is foot level lighting up to the Lodge at night but a torch would be helpful for the surrounding area. I encourage guests to be independent and I'm happy to leave a key in a key safe for guests to come and go whenever they choose. Unfortunately I am not always available to meet guests however I'm always available by phone if they should need to contact me. Four Oaks can sleep 8, however due to the compact bunk room arrangement (on the ground floor) it is not really suitable for 8 adults. It does however comfortably suit various family dynamics. This point is only highlighted to avoid any disappointment as I wish guests to always enjoy Four Oaks for all that this beautiful property and region have to offer. From April to Sept the minimum stay is 7 nights and changeover day is a Friday. However, we may be able to be a little more flexible for your requirements if the situation allows us to.
