The SpaceA small quiet room in a little cottage, one bus stop from the Sydney CBD. Walk to shopping, numerous restaurants, wine bars and pubs. Street parking no problem. Pretty outlook and garden, resident Italian greyhound, modern kitchen and bathroom. Friendly, casual atmosphere. Neutral Bay is a harbourside suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Neutral Bay is located around 5 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district. The Sydney Central Business District (CBD) is an area of very densely concentrated skyscrapers and other buildings, interspersed by several parks such as Hyde Park, The Domain, Royal Botanic Gardens and Wynyard Park. George Street is the Sydney CBD's main north-south thoroughfare. There is a large concentration of cultural institutions within the CBD including: the Museum of Sydney, the State Library of New South Wales, the Customs House branch of the City of Sydney Library, the Theatre Royal, the City Recital Hall and the Japan Foundation. Many other cultural institutions are located at the edge of the CBD, such as: the Sydney Opera House and the Museum of Contemporary Art to the north. The closeness to the CBD (you could walk if you wanted)and the private feeling of the cottage make it a nice place to come home to. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is an area of middle class professionals mostly. It is sophisticated, cosmopolitan and very safe. Getting AroundBuses are a 3minute walk and it is one stop to the CBD. Buses also go directly to all northern beaches such as Manly and Palm Beach and to harbour beaches such as Balmoral.

The SpaceOur ground-floor apartment accommodates up to four guests (one double bed in the bedroom, one double sofa-bed in the lounge room). Very centrally located in the heart of Neutral Bay, our apartment is a one minute walk from Neutral Bay (Military Rd/Watson St) bus stop, with direct connections to Wynyard Station, Town Hall and Sydney CBD. Sydney Harbour bridge is a two minute drive from our apartment. We have a large shopping centre just across the road, and are very close to Neutral Bay's gourmet café and restaurant district. The apartment is actually the ground floor of a beautiful Victorian-style terrace house dating from the early 1900s. It has 4-metre high ceilings with ceiling roses, fireplaces and polished floorboards throughout most of the house. We have high-speed wireless internet, a TV and DVD player, a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, a fully-equipped kitchen, and there is free unlimited parking available on the streets just around the corner. Our comfortable double bed is fitted with 100% cotton sheets. The fold-out sofa in the lounge room also becomes a double bed. Our bathroom has a bath and shower. Guests are welcome to use our back yard, laundry room and clothes line. This is our family home which we only rent out while we're away traveling. We have a small child, so you will find the usual baby things and toys stored around our house. Our house is very old, so has a few quirks, such as a stone kitchen sink and a retro gas cooker. The separate laundry room (located in our back yard) and back garden is shared with our upstairs neighbour, but we have our own washing machine, dryer and clothes line (for your exclusive use). We rent out our apartment while we are away travelling, but we have a property manager in Sydney who comes to meet our guests and can deal with any problems if we're not in town. The NeighborhoodNeutral Bay is one of Sydney's most exclusive harbourside suburbs, located on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. Neutral Bay is around 5 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district. The main shopping district of Neutral Bay, known as Neutral Bay Junction, is along Military Road, which is the main road that runs through Neutral Bay, Cremorne and Mosman. It features many quality shops, restaurants and cafes. The Big Bear shopping centre, which is located just across the road from our place, is a shopping mall that features a supermarket and grocery shops. Two minutes walk from our house, the Oaks Hotel is a well-known and popular venue located on the corner of Military Road and Ben Boyd Road. It has been a popular meeting place in Sydney since 1885. The Oaks Hotel features a number of restaurants, bars, function rooms and an impressive beer garden with the main focal point an old oak tree that provides plenty of shade to patrons in summer. There are two operating ferry wharves at Neutral Bay, serviced by both public Inner harbour ferry services. Direct bus links run to the Sydney CBD and north to Chatswood. Getting AroundOur place could not be better located in terms of public transport. The bus stops to and from Sydney CBD are located just across the road from us. Buses run every couple of minutes and after one bus stop you will arrive within walking distance Circular Quay, The Rocks and Sydney Opera House.

The SpaceA renovated (yet) non-modern 2 bedroom unit with car parking, internet, TV, and a nice leather couch. Located in a seemingly quiet and peaceful suburban area with many green parks nearby and a water view (4th floor), yet extremely central to the Sydney CBD and major Australian landmarks. Conveniently located, extremely close to shops, cafes and restaurants. Also conveniently accessible to public transport routes direct to Sydney CBD (and other locations): bus (244-249), train (North Sydney Station), and ferry (High Street Wharf, North Sydney). Taxi from the CBD (Wynyard) is around $20. Most places you may want to go are within walking distance. Walking distances: * 2 minutes - minimart, restaurant and cafe * 15 minutes - Sydney Harbour Bridge (Kirribilli Village), Luna Park (Milsons Point), lots of shops, restaurants. Also in North Sydney a supermarket (Aldi), gym (Fitness First) * less than 40 minutes - Sydney CBD (Wynyard Station) walking over the Harbour Bridge * 50 minutes - Sydney Opera House The kitchen has a small fridge, a gas cooker, and a hot water kettle. All 2 of us work full time during the week but are happy to show guests around on weekends or at night. We are all super friendly and love a drink or 2. Happy to leave guests in peace if they prefer. The NeighborhoodIt's a 2 minute walk from some of North Sydney's most renown restaurants, bars and entertainment. From the front balcony of the apartment you can see fireworks display from across the city and the harbout bridge. Getting AroundWithin walking distance of trains, the train and buses. Also, Darling Harbour and the CBD are walk able as well.

The SpaceWelcome to Neutral Bay, arguably one of Sydney's most beautiful harbourside suburbs, just 5 kilometers north of Sydney CBD. Easy 15 min walk to the city I am happy to rent to respectful large groups over Christmas & New Years Eve as my place has 2 x double bedrooms + 1 x Double sofa bed downstairs + a single trundle bed. The Apartment Trust me, once you see this place you will fall in love... great for families or couples or groups for NYE & Xmas however more deposite is required. Extremely neat, newly painted and furnished, this terrace features 2 double bedrooms, 1 sofa bed and 2 bathrooms + carpark. For those sporting games or out of this world movie experience, there is a 68 inch Plasma in TV room and 40 inch Plasma in master bedroom + unlimited Foxtel for both. Relax outside. There is a beautiful outdoor setting for long summer barbeques and aspect overlooking the city lights. Ground floor apartment, so no lifts or stairs. Neutral Bay 1 bus stop to City or North Sydney, Main Neutral Bay bus stop 3 second walk from this terrace house. * Woolworths, Coles shopping Centers, Thai, Indian, Italian, Chinese 1 block walk. * Oaks Hotel over the road, the biggest and best North Shoe pub * Includes visitors parking * Internet cafe across the rd. * Plasma / DVD all the mod cons. * Can see fireworks from my terrace. The SpaceThe apartment is surrounded by gum trees and there are many varieties birds who regularly visit. The apartment is light and airy and located on 6th floor which is accessed by lift. Neutral Bay apartment is available in 1 bedroom configuration with queen bed suitable for a single or a couple or as a 2 bedroom with queen, king (or 2 single) beds, ideal for 2 couples or a couple and 2 singles. Maximum number of guests is four (4). The apartment balcony looks to Fort Denison in Sydney Harbour. The NYE fireworks can be seen from this location though not the full front on view - there is a vantage point located in Neutral Bay. Guest AccessThe guests have access to the entire apartment and security parking for 1 vehicle if required. Interaction with GuestsGuests are met on arrival and given the keys and shown the security procedure. We are contactable by phone should the need arise to contact us. The NeighborhoodProximity to everything. Easy and economical access to the city and beach areas with excellent transport links by both bus and ferry. Travelling over the Harbour Bridge to the City is wonderful especially when the sun is shining! There is a restaurant precinct in Grosvenor Street Neutral Bay with fine dining and there are plenty of cafes and take-away shops to grab a quick bite. The famous 'The Oaks' Hotel is just a short walk from the apartment and Big Bear Shopping centre at the end of Watson Street is open till late for all your food requirements. The Cremorne Orpheum Theatre is just a short bus ride from the apartment. A ferry ride on the Harbour is wonderful and you can experience the different areas of Sydney - the West, North and East suburbs. Getting AroundPublic transport is very accessible from this location. It is just a short walk to the last bus stop before the Sydney Harbour Bridge and you can be in the Sydney CBD within 5-8 minutes. Buses are frequently leaving from Military Road for the Northern Beach areas of Manly, Balmoral Beach and Taronga Park Zoo. There is a local bus that leaves from Neutral Bay School down to the ferry stop. There are also buses that go to Milsons Point and North Sydney. Buses depart back to Neutral Bay from Carrington Street in the City. There are many buses that travel through Neutral Bay. Security parking is available for those who are travelling by car. There is a local shuttle bus service that accesses Neutral Bay. This is a door to door service and must be pre-booked prior to arrival by the guest - we can give the necessary details if required. Light, bright and airy, enjoy a leafy north-east aspect – it is a lovely old building with traditional double brick so it is warm in winter and cool in summer. There is a modern kitchen with Caesarstone bench top, gas cooking and dishwasher. 1 bathroom with shower and bath. The living room is equipped with a large flat-screen television with Foxtel (cable television), DVD player and stereo with iPod docking station. Or enjoy our fabulous Harbour with a 15-minute walk to ferry wharf with ferries to Circular Quay (CBD). Other Things to NoteI will provide suggestions for things to do in Sydney as well as restaurant, bar and shopping recommendations in the local area and across the city. Ernest Street can be a busy road, however keeping the double glazed windows shut mitigates the sound in the second bedroom if used. The main bedroom is blissfully quiet.

The SpaceAdam and I live in a comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit for more than 3 years now. We have used Air BnB around the world and are now sharing our own space. Living and dining room, equipped kitchen with dishwasher, laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The unit has a big balcony with gas barbecue; great to sit outside in the sun and relax. Guest AccessQueen bed in guest bedroom with access to balcony and your own bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. All communal areas of the unit will be shared with hosts. Guests are welcome to use pots, pans and all kitchenware. Interaction with GuestsAdam and I work the regular Mon-Fri and come back home at the end of the day. We are more than happy to share a meal, a movie, a bbq and chit chat with guests. The NeighborhoodPlenty of options for restaurants, bars and shops. Supermarket is within walking distance and is open until midnight everyday (you never know when that ice cream craving will hit). Getting AroundBus is the best option. Station is just around the corner (literally!). From here you can easily take a bus to the city, train station and to northern beaches. Great option for travellers without a car. If coming by car, the building also has visitor parking, but we cannot guarantee a spot as it is for 'whoever comes first, takes it'.
